I've had my 2nd one now for 4 months and it works great. The 1st one i sent back as the power switch never worked when i got it. I changed the sprayer hose right away for a 50ft on that was better quality and i got a shorter spray handle. Great Sprayer
Well, we bought one on my job as the company tried various brands of electrical pressure washers for cleaning big AC coils, cooling towers and ducts. So far this green meany is the only survivor. I've put at least 800 hours on this sucker, still goes strong. This are under the sun 85 degrees plus tropical hot and humid hours of use. It's a fairly good product for what you pay, even the updated price of 329 dollars. That said I'm very meticulous about purging lines before and after the use. Highly recommend for a household setting.
@@aaronstestlab I knew you were some kind of big brain. You covered literally everything and crunched all the numbers. Made me glad that I purchased a Greenworks 2000. Thanks!
The updated one that is sold now has a total stop system on it now. Also the feed hose is on the opposite side. Love this pressure washer. Not loud and worked it non stop for hours at a time on my house and an old crusty bass buggy pontoon boat-thought the carpet was black turns out it has grey carpet-blasted that crud right outta there!
Mu gusto exelente precion y el unico detalle que el autumatico dejo de funcionar y no apaga al soltar el gatillo ahora lo uso de manera directa pero aun sigue funcionando
The reason the pressure was so los with the 40 degree nozzle is because the orifice size is too large for the low flow of the pressure washers u need one with a 2 orifice size for the small washers and the pressure will increase with the 40 degree
Do you have an idea what kind of pump oil does it use? It is a white pump oil, I used mine 4 times a year for the past 5 years, suddenly it looses pressure or cuts it when pressing the trigger.
So without the aftermarket fittings the hose cannot pivot? Meaning the hose tangles 🤔 Also, did you find the hose inlet to the handle annoying at the front of your hand instead of behind?
It doesn’t swivel at all without the quick fittings and only swivels a little with them. As far as the location of the handle inlet, having used both styles, I prefer ones with the inlet in front of the handle(as opposed to on the bottom of)
Nice timely review in 2020 as I am seriously considering buying this unit. I have never had a pressure washer but have been doing research on pressure washers and their associated equipment. Two main things I have learnt: Nozzle size is important. It refers to the actual size of the orifice in the nozzle. 0, 15, 25 and 40 degree refer to the shape of the nozzle or jet stream. The nozzle size can be determined using the unit's Max pressure and gpm and selecting nozzle size on the nozzle size chart. Secondly, for foam cannon use, because the unit has a small gpm of 1.2 which is lower than gas powered units and comparable to other electric units, you need a smaller (1.1mm) orifice on the foam cannon to better agitate your soap and give thicker foam. All things considered, I would choose this unit over a comparable unit from greenworks simply because in my country Ryobi tools are marketed and used and should something go wrong, I should be easier able to find a technician/parts for the unit. I cannot say the same for greenworks
This is a good one my patio is cement and it was filthy. I thought I needed a new one! Not after using this! St Clair shores Michigan bought at Home Depot
Did you use the same tips on both machines when testing the PSI? I would guess the Ryobi really has more power and the 15° tips you used on both machines had the same orifice size so Ryobi had more pressure because it has more power. But the 40° tip you used on the Ryobi had a larger orifice (some machines come like that) than the one you used on the Green Works so it had less pressure but more gallons per minute (which you didnt test). Cleaning power and speed is a tradeoff between psi and gallons per minute. Both matter and if you increased the GPM with a larger orifice on the 40° Ryobi tip, you also decreased the pressure.
I got one year out of mine. Basically, I wound up spending hundreds of $$$'s to pressure wash my mobile home one time. When done, I drained all the lines. Springtime and it didn't work. Disassembled the unit and found the plastic valve (yes, plastic) had become corroded in the pump housing. Which is cheap aluminum by the way. It has corroded with scale in the water over the winter and no amount of CLR fixed it. Save your money and rent one for your yearly chores. It's a helluva lot cheaper in the long run. Btw, I'm a retired engineer with a background in metallurgy. Ryobi could have spent a dollar more to incorporate corrosion resistant materials. Cheap...just plain cheap.
I always wondered what soap to use for those soap sprayers I'm going to buy this one you provided, as well as the quick connects. Another question, can you use an expendable hose that connects from home to machine

I hope I can get help from somebody. Today I got the same product RY142300 and I used for a couple of hrs, no complaint, but something very strange happened when I try the 15degrees tip or the blue tip. the machine started to stop and go every 4 or 5 seconds. with the turbo nozzle works very nice. Aaron's Test Lab I will get the $130, 1800psi Ryobi corded compact pressure washer and later if I need more power I will get the $380, 3000psi corded Ryobi pressure washer that way you have both compact for light jobs and a monster to do any other tough job.
so the 15 degree nozzle wouldnt have any issue what so ever taking off mildew / dirt from vinyl siding?
Great vid. I have the same ryobi unit. Got it on sale at Home Depot for I think $199. Well worth it.
I believe the Greenworks is made in China...the Ryobi Vietnam...big difference to me...
Please explain the difference. Thx.
When the Ryobi Pressure Washer is idlling, the unit sounds more like an Air Conditioner. After all, it is a compressor.
I think the issue with that pressure loss comes from the lower GPM
Yep, it's strange in Australia as have this same pressure washer but because of our power get much higher gpm
@@KiranPatel-fk1pg is your power 120v or 240v?
@@n01928 240v so we can get cheaper tool that are as powerful as higher end brands that are 120v. For example pressure washers
@@KiranPatel-fk1pg Yup that's what I was expecting. You get higher efficiency higher voltages. You can push double the wattage at the same amperage.
Great review! I use a Dewalt 4000 PSI for my channel
I hope I can get help from somebody. Today I got the same product RY142300 and I used for a couple of hrs, no complaint, but something very strange happened when I try the
15degrees tip or the blue tip. the machine started to stop and go every 4 or 5 seconds. with the turbo nozzle works very nice. I try a few times and the same result. Do I have
a defective tip? or should I take the machine back. Any comments will be appreciated.
I got the 3300 psi ryobi love the thing
Wish mine was put together, def was not.
Does this pressure washer take 3/8 inch hose or 1/4 inch house. I was going to buy a longer hose for the unit
Hose size doesn’t really matter so long as it has an M22-14 fitting on the end. You could also easily adapt it to a 3/8 quick disconnect.
@@aaronstestlab so this hose would work or would I need to buy extra stuff for it to work.

You would need the quick connect adapters I referenced in this video for that hose to work.
