NUX Mini Studio brings 8 speaker cabinets into pocket size now. Each impulse response (IR) file captured from it’s own original source, processed with the state-in-art audio technology. At the end of the signal chain, Mini Studio amazingly produces a musical sound and tastefully enhances the audio signal.
Built-in Speaker Cabinet Models;
JZ120 Roland Jazz 120
DR112 Fender Deluxe Reverb
BS410 Fender Bassman 410
A212 VOX AC30 212
TR212 Fender Twin Reverb 212
1960 Marshall 1960A 412
GB412 Celestion Greenback 412
V412 Celestion Vintage30 412
Load Your Own Favorite IR File
It has 8 well-known speaker model presets and each preset is also a memory spot that you can load your favorite IR files. It delivers the signal from input to output with ultra low latency (1.2 milliseconds), in 24 bit 44.1KHz audio quality. Mini Studio’s sampling length is 1024 points, which means you will get a high resolution audio with a powerfull speaker sound.
Tone Density
NUX Mini Studio has a Space knob to adjust the simulation of the speaker cabinet's room size. It's quite useful to simulate your tone like it's mic-ed in a small or big room. When you increase the size of the room, you can feel the reflection decay as it happens in the real room.
For all the people asking. This pedal is mainly for people that have a ’no amp’ setup that want to gig with only their pedalboard straight to a PA system (like I do) Also works for home recording if you prefer buying pedals instead of plugins
You sir are so good at flowing with your guitar. Great work. Thank you.
Mike Roadblock Thanks so much?
I love the songs you have for the demos........i watch so many of your videos because of them.....
white rhino Thanks! This is my take on Jimmy Cliff’s “Sitting in Limbo”
Nux have some good pedals. I have several. Great playing sir!
Sennstrato Sennstrato Thanks! I do like their pedals!
What is the signal chain? Kind of important, no?
Pedal is great but the string action all across the neck is surreal for me.
And no fret buz... Amazing.
Where's the magic is the guitar or is in the setup guy?
Nice take on "Harder they come" :)
5:00 Can IRs simulate the amp overdrive ? I thought IRs simulated speaker cabinets only. Or is there an overdrive pedal used at. 5:00 ?
sounds like a TV theme song from the 70s
Thanks for the demo. How does the switch work? Do you need to engage it each time when you connect the pedal to a power supply or is it a latching switch?
A fair bit of room reverb even with the ”space” knob at min, I think?
I use the headphone out for quiet practice but somehow it gets very noisy when the overdrive pedal is engaged (joyo ac tone). Will this be the same case if i plug it into a mixer and out to PA?
This simulates the amp and the cab ?
@Mike Hermans... loved the video anyway.... but may I know what package (or plugin/package combo) you used to get that animation effect please? Seems like a perfect fit for ugly folks like me :-)
Do i need preamp for this?
Nice pedal and great and very tastefull playing
I like the mini pedals for fly ins man
Hi! What’s the best, Solid Studio or Mini Studio?
So, this pedal is the pre amp, power amp and speaker ir? So pedal board into it and Di to desk for a direct tone with full amp simulation? Would be great as a back up should amp or modelling device fails. Very nice tones
Scott Mac Just an IR. I used NuX’s version of the Klon as a preamp for clean tones...other than that it was direct... some reverb and delay from my DAW
@@popintothechemist No power amp sim? Is it fine without that?
A latência é grande?
Will I still need an amp sim aside of this one?
Can we load our custom ir on this?
Yes.
@@FvtvreClvb No, software if bugged and new firmware is not good, i can't load any other IR's.
i have a tascam 8 digital multitrack..really digging getting away from the PC -tho, it is a bit more fiddly..i think it sounds better ....so gear like this is part of that more organic approach.....
See now this seems advanced to me. Organic would be mic’ing up a cab and moving the mic and checking phase for an hour.
How does this compare to mooer radar?
I'm looking to solve the problem of piezo "quack" with my acoustic guitar through my audio interface...would this help with that? Also, just to clarify, I can load as many IR files as I'd like? Thanks!
Chris Scian Fishman Aura Spectrum
@@thelolguy007 Thanks. I went with the NUX pedal and it seems to do the trick. For the most part, anyway.
Chris Scian this particular one the mini?
@@thelolguy007 Yes, the mini pedal. It's been working well as far as the acoustic presets through my audio interface goes, which is essentially what I needed it for.
Chris Scian cool I was looking to get something to work alongside my Harley Benton British Truetone. Something that might take it closer to that real amp/cab sound. You could recommend it?
So is this instrument level out? Line level? I'd love to hear opinions on how it sounds next to something like the Iconoclast or CAB. Too bad it doesn't do stereo, and that it's no higher than 44.1.
ruclips.net/video/5dWO8_-5Wuk/видео.html
44.1 is more than enough too reproduce what a guitar cab does and you wouldn't notice a difference if it was more than that. I suggest you to check the Brian Wampler (from Wampler pedals) video where he explains that with details. But i agree that it would be nice if the unit had stereo ins and outs.
Hi Sir i cant connect my nss3 to windows. It says no device found. Please help me
is it possible to plug my valve head into it (like the nux solid studio)?
Great demo! Cheers!
No. Power amp modelling and the ability to take a speaker level signal are the extra features that make the Solid Studio more expensive. Personally, (and I already have the Solid Studio) I'm looking forward to buying this product and pairing it with a Two Notes Captor that does reactive loading (Straight through, -20db, or completely silent) to get close to Torpedo Studio or UA Ox utility for about 1/4 of the price. The fact it has inbuilt IR's for my amps (Marshall Silver Jubilee & Fender Deluxe Reverb) means they'll still sound 'real', even at reduced or zero volume through my IEM's or FOH :-)
@@MikeSadlerAU Did you ever get this setup? I'm running an amp sim on my Apollo with no latency but the included IRs aren't the greatest. I am thinking of bypassing the IR of the plugin, send it to a line out and into this NUX then back into a line in to monitor my amp signal going through my own cab IRs in the NUX. Also for me, this is a cheaper alternative to going the Two Notes route.
@@FvtvreClvb : Yep... all worked fine. The Captor was an 'essential' part of the setup in my case because I wanted to use my real amps. In your case, I suspect there's other (better) ways to deprive the feline of their dermis. Sending a signal converted to digital and back again twice is likely IME to add delay and remove 'immediacy' from the end result. If you like the IR's you have/loaded in th NUX, you can load them into *any* IR loader in software and plug it into your DAW. Logic now comes with an IR loader I think, some others might, but there are inexpensive loader/editors out there that are w-a-y better than the simple ones that usually accompany IR boxes like the NUX.
I got 'Impulsive' from 3Sigma Audio, which does some groovy things and was $20 USD. Check it out at www.3sigmaaudio.com/impulsive/ where they have a good run-through anyway. BTW, I use the 3 Sigma Acoustic Guitar IR's in the NUX Mini-Studio to play acoustic live. Though I have a J-15 and my wife's old Southern Jumbo for recording, I'm always scared to take them out to play. Now I use my daughter's inexpensive piezo Yamaha and the NUX pedal with the J-15 or J-45 to get 95% close sounds live... could even potentially work with an electric guitar, but I haven't tried that. Ping me if you need further help, by all means. Break-a-leg :-)
Is that a preamp, too?
No, it just cabsim/IR loader. Hope it helps
Hi, does it make sense to use it connected to a real guitar amp?
I think so
Cool
Perhaps difficult but looking for non Chinese made stuff
mooer radar
two notes torpedo CAB
А как в это подключаться? Что ещё нужно, кроме гитары?
