    They sold the DD1 stem for $30 for Black Friday 2023, had no intention of upgrading but couldn't pass up that deal. Finally got around to getting the wheel side, got the $100 one. I used to not think I had any noticeable flex with my formula v2.5, until I tried with the QR2, it actually did eliminate the little bit that was there, but I don't think I would have upgraded at full price.

    Nice review! I am planning to upgrade to dd in the future. The quick release was the main reason to choose moza over fanatec. Now with the new qr fanatec has solved one of their biggest issues.

    I still use V2.5. The universal hub and one wheel are too old to upgrade to QR2. I've seen mentioned on Fanatec website that they may make adapter for base side to QR1. I hope so because replacing wheels and base would be too expensive.

      I upgraded from a QR-Lite on a CSL DD 8Nm. If you have the wheelbase mounted rigidly to an 8020 rig for example, it does give a better feeling yes. It's hard to describe but the ffb comes through cleaner and more detailed. Not a night and day difference, but it is there. If on the other hand your wheelbase is desk mounted like in the video, that's where most of your flex will be coming from, so I don't think you'd feel a difference.

      Yes I think that wheel is too old to be upgraded I’m afraid. There are some great newer wheels though that arnt much money if you want to upgrade of course. But if your happy with your current setup, it’s not worth buying a whole new rim just for QR2

    Unless you have one of the new wheelbases that comes with the QR2 preinstalled I don't see the point ( unless you deliberately flex your wheel in an unnatural way u don't notice it or you got a QR1 from the bad batch and didn't replace it ) I have both plastic and metal qr1 and they are both fine running the 6nm dd csl ( or whatever they call it lol )

    • @JCRacing57
      @JCRacing57  6 месяцев назад +4

      I’m not a shill, trust me Fanatec has its own issues, but Fanatec has a very large proportion of sim hardware sold, most people have had their DD1 / 2’s and CSL DD’s sense before Moza Racing even existed as a company. And this is a fantastic upgrade for those people, and a very rigid QR system that is one of if not the best in the sim market now.
