Hello everyone. In today's video I'll be discussing a case that I'm petty sure none of you have ever heard about. it was kept out of the media because of the families.
I have changed all the names of the people involved and was told this by another search and rescue member who used to work law enforcement in CA.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all their friends and families 🙏
This story was told to me and many aspects, names have been changed. see below.

    Me (retelling the story)
This story was told to me this past summer while I was out west by some former officer that now works SAR. All the names and various aspects of what really happened have been changed. I do not know the real names, and yes I'm sure many will ask about court records and various other details. I just don't know and I'm sorry if this is upsetting but I wanted to share the case details as I know them with you.

Yes many details have been changed including the names of all involved.. so yes there's probably records on whatever John's real name is and his court case but I don't know it.. I'll definitely keep you informed if I get anymore info. Thank you for watching🙏

I must say, as a new subscriber myself, I'm finding this odd too. I doubt very much authorities would not allow media to know anything when 4 young people are missing. Not for the sake of one cancer stricken parent. Look at the massive search for Laci Peterson. Here we have not one but 4 people missing! Then 'we have a trial' which ended with 40 years for 'john' (no last name) and there's no mention of said trial and outcome anywhere. Interestingly Bryan says the names in this story have been changed. I thought this channel was great but I'm not so sure now. 🤔

Fascinating. Questions: *Did you say John is serving 40 years? From this I infer he was convicted of murder, but of these murders or for previous crimes? Aren't court records public information? If prosecution and sentencing happened after he was arrested--a year after he was found--where is the record of that?
*Secondly, how in hell do you prevent any word of a story like this from leaking via any one of a million internet accounts?
*Third, the timeline is weird: It sounds as if about one week passed from the apparent disappearances to finding John, with his greatly altered hair, piercings, etc. And in that time he had been able to dispose of three bodies, burn a car, steal another car, burn it, and then spend--what was it? two days? hanging around a gas station. John is quite the fast worker.
Color me curious. Love to have this cleared up!

Our parents and one other sibling have passed already in last 12 years. He was 34. So there was nothing in place. But luckily we agreed on everything. But we had said several times through this process what if we didn't agree. We would have had to go through legal routes. We can't even imagine what that must have been like for families go through. Especially if loved ones missing or something nefarious happened. Hopefully things will work out for the families. The wilderness and landscape can be a fragile thing. I work in Oregon and outside the city it can get very isolated quickly. I can see how things can go wrong very fast for some people. People go missing all the time around here. Legally law enforcement would NEVER keep things quiet on a missing person case, let alone 4 young college students. They wouldn't keep it out of media just because some family member has a terminal illness. THINK. If you can't figure out just look to the 4 Idaho students who've been murdered in Moscow, ID. It's heard about around the world right now. That type of news breaks like wildfire, no one could keep anything secret. You think 4 kids going to university, didn't have friends etc. who would wonder where they were? Let alone one of the guy goes to prison for 40 years. It's Illegal to keep that information from the public. This story is fake, it never happened, Even those of us into serious true crime, it takes less than 10 minutes to check out so many aspects of this story, regardless of him using different names. It's just hard to actually believe when I can't find any information about the "facts" that were given about this case. Nothing about a group going missing, an officer finding a car in the desert, or anything else mentioned. Not to mention, the fact that it's very hard to believe that a family would greatly decrease the chance of finding their child to prevent the father from *possibly* finding out about it.

This is a tough one for the families. What stands out here are: They were college kids and they were friends. Immaturity, lack of experience and not a high standard for friend.
I’m very thankful I survived my adventures with so called friends when I was in that age group. Learning experiences that made me wiser and very few in life that I call friend…

Glynn, when I was younger and naive, I always thought that if I admired someone and considered myself their friend then they felt the same way about me. Sadly was not true and I now realize that of all the people I have known only two were really my friend and one of those was my spouse. I used to love people and really enjoyed going to parties and meeting and talking to new people. Now I don't.
It's sad to learn about the true inward feelings of most people.

Hi Jerry, Thank you for your response. Precisely, when you admire someone you are a friend too. The saying is, you get back what you put out, but many times I didn’t get that in return. I’m glad your spouse is your close friend. With an approximate 50% divorce rate. It is risky too, emotionally, financially and especially when you love your children you are separated from. That was my biggest agony. I would still prefer to be a good person. I’ve always believed even in my worst times, when my faith was at a minimum. There has to be a higher power and accounting for how we conduct ourselves. Well, God knows the truth I would tell myself. That would give me some comfort as I moved on in life again. Discernment is a great asset. Take good care…

See how that could get really ugly really fast? Cell phone data should help with this case but also the data of family members.

Interesting story but I’m wondering why the families of the other three felt they had to get attorneys. You don’t need anyone’s permission to speak to the media especially when it involves your missing child. Doesn’t make sense.
