My dearest friend killed himself and I found him minutes later. It was immediately obvious that he was gone and not coming back. For months afterwards I would see someone who resembled him and feel for a moment that I was about to see him again, that somehow it had all been a mistake, that I would get to hug him once more, even though I had seen what I had seen. And then I would be sobbing because I drove past some guy in a hoodie. I cannot imagine what having a missing loved one must feel like. Thank you for reminding us to be respectful towards the loved ones who are suffering.

That was his spirit coming to you through others,,, my Daddy passed in 1999,,, I would get a glimpse of a person and see him,,, and one day i saw a man, i saw the back of him walking,,, just like my daddy,,, he turned around and LOOKED AT ME AND SMILED HIS CROOKED SWEET SMILE, IT WAS MY DADDY FOR JUST A MOMENT,,, , and then he turned away and walked on,,,, I followed him and it was a man that looked like my daddy,,, but for that moment it was him.

Alaskan here… I am blessed to get to see the Northern Lights from my own bed every time they’re out. There is nothing like being able to be out and about in our beautiful country. There are many reasons people would be out and about hunting, and doing research, etc in the wilderness. What a good soul this man has and a smart dog( own a husky myself). You need to realize that our state is huge and wild. Anyone who lives here knows this and understands that there are inherent risks to back country activity. It takes just one thing to go wrong to cost a life. Jake, thank you for serving our country and for being such a good guy to help bring this woman home. I’m glad you were able to reconnect with family, etc. and got to experience the connection with our unique home. God bless.

@T Raybern That's a rather snide comment. He was not hiking. He was less than 50 yards from a parking lot and he was with a friend His friend was loading gear into his truck and went back to get my grandfather. They were never out of ear shot of each other and they were separated for less than 5 minutes. My grandfather needed assistance to walk back to the truck. When his friend returned to get him he was gone. He was unable to wander off and no tracks were found by searchers or dogs leaving the place he was last seen.

Thank you for telling the story!
Jake was used to find this woman and help return her to her family and friends, and should feel good about it, even tho he is probably shook up over the experience.
Although the experience is a nerve racking one, finding a deceased person isn't something we can train for, nor do we hear too many stories of it happening, and isn't something we ever expect to happen, we do get called to perform the duty of finding and helping to return a deceased person to society for proper handling by the authorities.
We have to understand that we sometimes channel another power which sends us where we normally never go and causes us to be used in finding a lost souls remains in order to help with closure for their family and friends. And if and when it happens, we need to relax and not get shaken up over the experience. Letting go of the guilt and sorrow over the experience takes time, and talking to others about it helps.

Ironic that if he hadn't chosen that isolated life and then decided to explore that area she would still be there, .I can't imagine how her family must have felt upon getting that news, sorry for the family members of the rest of the team that haven't been found, that's horrible. She was found above the tree line which I hinted at in the video and honestly I have no idea how she stayed there that long.. but I do know the area of Alaska was north of Nuiqsut. She was actually found frozen in what we would call a glacier. Honestly this was a very hard case to cover because I had so chage certain things but also wanted to keep it as close to what really happened. Thank you for watching you and you feedback🙏

@@bawattsyl that makes more sense. I lived in Fairbanks for a long time and I suspected it was further north than that in a remote village. You did a good job of changing the facts, while it raised some questions in my mind as a former (well now 2nd home) Alaskan because summers in northern Alaska can get up to 90 degrees F and winters can get done to -75 degrees F. And yes glacier areas will not thaw even in those temperatures.
I hope “Jake” is doing well and living a happy and blessed life. I hope the young woman’s family has had closure, found healing and are at peace with what transpired. Alaska back country is a beautiful but also deadly place. It’s not for the inexperienced that’s for sure. I was a first responder up there and the amount of people I’ve seen lost in the vast wilderness is uncountable. I take my son back country camping up there every year so he learns the survival skills he needs to survive anything. I’ve taught him everything from basic back country camping to bare bones survival camping (with our real gear if needed obviously). As much as I love Alaska I had to get myself and my son out of there because I was isolating us there and it was time to move on. I still have land there and we spend a great deal of time there and it’s precious and sacred to us.

@@bawattsyl I am glad you answered that, because I was about to call you on this story, because up here it does get thawed and hot and dry. Also these animals here will have you eaten in a matter of days in a situation like this. One other thing, there seems to be a miss understanding about wolves up here. These wolves don't think twice about taken a person out, they will attack at any chance they get and will boldly come right at you. They are about three times the size of the wolves in the states and are not afraid of anything, I have seen it for myself !!!

But u, Brian, are one of those genuinely good, kind & caring folks who seem to spread positivity & optimism in all u do. Please don't ever change!! Your incredible thoughtfulness & desire to respect all those involved in the cases u cover is so touching; anyone can tell how very much u care by the loving sentiments & obvious sincerity in your videos. THIS STORY IS A COMPLETE LIE. DOES ANYONE ELSE WATCHING THIS HAVE THE ABILITY TO REASON OUT WHY IT IS FALSE? In Alaska there is something called summer. It comes every year and so this women would have thawed out every spring and the birds would have eaten her. She would not be "frozen in time" as this guy said Trees also do not grow in perpetual winter. They have a growing season. The title suggests that she was found frozen after 8 years. come on people. If you fall for this then you may believe MSM as well.
