There was another channel that covered Daniels story with a few more details and the fact that it reeked of a crime and the Whistler RCMP said there was nothing is suspicious means they know something and is a cover up by them. The RCMP needs to be investigated..Their was a mention that a tough guy scary dude met with Daniel at a pub and that scary dude was really pis sed, so prob a gang member and possibly related to the corrupt Whistler RCMP..

Barely Sociable did a very in depth look at this case and the more you look at the details the more disturbing it gets. One thing of note that wasn't mentioned here is that the witness at the bar knew of the Cody Lewis cooler before the photograph was released (supposedly the information was leaked prior in a social media post, but I can't tell if this was the same post where the witness at the bar recounted his experience or if it was a separate comment made by someone else). And finally the vehicle was removed shortly after Barely Sociable's video on the case was released.

lots of unanswered questions, media pressure, a profile from missing persons sites can help with procedures and witnesses coming forward. Going backward is essential to finding evidence in the case. Lethbridge could hold many answers to what happened, along with the school he attended and who he was communicating with on social media, students who are in forensics can take on some of the technical components to help find the guy, and answer questions as well. Cyber Sleuths usually have technical experts that can find social and internet information leading to the last people he had contact with. Where did the evidence go that was strewn around the area of the truck. The family should have access to that information. Was there a wider investigation going on tooo...Hope he's found for the families sake.....Great reporting, thanks.

Regarding the moving of the items found near Marshalls truck, it was most likely a bear who did that. Especially since the cooler had been dragged a bit but not taken. Bears are quite accustomed to our coolers and it would be the first thing they'd go for, followed by rummaging through every inch of the remaining stuff. This is probably the only 'not strange' part of both these cases. It makes it easier to put together a possible timeline of when the truck was burned out. A bear would not go near a burning vehicle or even a hot vehicle. And that fire looked like total destruction, as in an accelerant was probably used. These smells would keep a bear away for probably 2 days, at least, but would have been keeping an eye the scene while waiting for a safe time to go in for that cooler.
If that is what happened, and the bear moved things in those 2 days in between the hikers finding it and the RCMP showing up, then it seems logical that the truck had been burned out roughly 2-3 days before being found (could even mean that the hikers showing up is what scared the bear off without absolutely destroying that cooler).
It does seem like Marshall was up to something sketchy though. No Canadian would dump the safety of their truck in the winter in the mountains and hike off into the wilderness with any hope of surviving. He would not have done that purposefully, or alone, unless he was not in his right mind. There are a whole lot of other easier and safer ways to disappear if that's what he intended to do.
As for Daniel, unless it really was drugs making him act so erratically, my first thought was schizophrenia. It is not uncommon for this disease to make its first appearance during a young man's late teen to mid-20ish years of age. It's often misdiagnosed by family and friends at first because of its similar symptoms to the use of hard drugs. I wouldn't be surprised if that was what was going on with Daniel. But either cause of his behaviour could easily have led him to a sudden decision to leave his vehicle and cause his demise out in the cold. But he couldn't have made it much further from his truck and would probably have been found during the search.
I think there are a whole lot of possibilities here. Between the stuff the RCMP are not making public and the stories that have a tendency to go a little sideways on social media it's hard to nail any real possibilities down. Sadly, outside of bodies being found or someone coming forward, I have little hope that either case will be solved anytime soon. The only thing I know for sure, as a Canadian living nearby this area, is that neither one of these men would have willingly or in their right minds, hiked into the wilderness of the mountains in late November without prior experience and preparation, for any reason. My heart breaks for whatever those young men endured and for the families left behind. Tragic.

The most common reason you’d find a steering column removed is because the car was stolen. It makes no sense as a ploy to hide DNA evidence, especially if you’re going to burn the whole thing to the ground anyway. My working assumption would be that it wasn’t Marshall that drove the truck to the end of the road.

Not having a steering column, I'm not quite sure about. I do know about a truck burning up. My clutch was no good. I was stupid and had the brilliant idea of driving through my pasture. I looked in my rearview mirror and the field was on fire. I parked near by my truck, I t tried to put the fire out. Whether it's an accident or a crime. ??

Daniel’s story sounds like other young people who went on to be diagnosed with schizophrenia. He’s a little older but who knows what the health/MH care is like there or if his family were in the habit of regular care.
I’d bet the stuff unattended outside the truck for two days was moved by animals.

The RCMP was waiting for a box of donuts and laziness is what happens when you don’t cough up.

Having removed a steering column, twice, I can tell you its no simple process. Especially if you intend on it working afterwards. Between the facts that it is a time consuming process that would require a person to have very good reason to even attempt it in the middle of a forest AND that it was never located just screams nefarious. I mean, do they really think he just walked off into the jungle with an entire steering column...??
Theres no way this was a 1 person job. Or even a 1 vehicle job for that matter.

He was right to remove the vehicle im discusted cops didn't have it taken in as possible evidence

Both cases are very suspicious. Why were there different i.d. info in the burned out truck. RMCP did almost nothing. I believe these cases are connected. You may be right, perhaps they were working for law enforcement. Thanks for another intriguing video.

Or law enforcement know of drug gang in area & don't want to interfere for their own protection?

Idk, I think it's definitely possible that Marshall did this himself...to a point. I do like your theory, however, I think it would be worth investigating.

RCMP are not fit for purpose, sorry but over the years the amount of stories and cases they have bumbled and mishandled and not investigated is staggering.

From the evidence, in my opinion, this could very possibly be illegal drug activity. These two men could have spent the money from the sale of drugs without paying their dealer(s), which got them murdered. Or, If they were confidential informates for the police, and this information was discovered by who they were selling for, this could also result in their demise. Still this is a very sad situation for both these mens' loved ones. Thank you Bryan for all you do to help the lost be found. ❤

It’s such a shame that the RCMP has fallen into such a bad state. They are a legendary law enforcement organization. I hope the Canadian government can bring competence and integrity back to RCMP someday.
