Yes he did. And the melody of this work is strikingly beautiful. Not that the others aren’t too, each is unique and so completely original. A few of his works he wanted destroyed after he died; thank God that didn’t happen (I think).
@@radamik Actually it's depressing to say that a number of his works were all lost or destroyed - Chopin wanted some to die with him and some just got lost :( I hope they all weren't as good as this etude, I hate to think about what I could be missing out on .
@@angen.7200 9 hours a day? That's insane to the point of being detrimental. I would say that you shouldn't do any more than 3 hours of practice a day.
lCaKeSl Took me 13 years of teaching myself to get to this level of playing. My suggestion... stay dedicated, and play multiple styles from several time periods. Ragtime especially, helped free up my left and right hands.
+lCaKeSl Some advice: Never be satisfied with your proficiency/progress at a musical instrument. Even when you achieve your goal, set another one and keep pushing forward! Good luck
Years ago I had a young Japanese student in my high school choir that could play this so I made her play it as a special music at all our concerts. So beautiful. Love it.
A wave of notes hits me like a harp. The wavy chords have come together in such a beautiful melody that the silvery waves of notes flow so beautifully. It's a perfect work.
Incredibile veramente!
Beautifully done. This étude figures as a solo ballet dance 💃 in “The Turning Point” at the end of the film. Sensitive, impassioned, fluid and sensuous.
Just watched the scene from Flying Dutchman, where Ava Gardner intrigues James Mason with this beautiful piece of music. It started me playing piano some 70+ years ago.
Got assigned this for over the summer and I can't even imagine when I'll be able to get it to sound remotely comparable to this. These arpeggios got me all kinds of fucked up
Great! I finished learning it already. It is pretty easy once you are able to play it up to tempo and get the flow and everything. But the learning process was more of a struggle than I expected.
Cortot corregía Las Copias con errores. ( hechas a mano.) No había Imprenta. ♥️
Chopin came from heaven, wrote down what he heard, and went back... too soon.
Eddie Hutchence Too bad...

You got that right....went too soon.

Rest in peace maestro, you will be remembered
He is remembered by every listen
Just started teaching myself piano a month ago, the day I can play this is the day I will have accomplished my one and only goal with piano.
lCaKeSl Took me 13 years of teaching myself to get to this level of playing. My suggestion... stay dedicated, and play multiple styles from several time periods. Ragtime especially, helped free up my left and right hands.
Good luck. It will be a long, hard road, but if you stick with it long enough, you can play anything.
What a gorgeous piece! One of my favorites that I got to start playing again!

+Carnage Inc. how slow are you? You must've played -27 minutes per day.
Finally learned this 4 years after first hearing it. Keep going! You can do it!

Pollini , the best of all on this piece.
The most beautiful melodic lines are very simple!
Yess it needs to flow more !! Perfect rendition
An untouchable performance. Bravissimo!
one of my favorites from Chopin! so lovely
This is the ideal, the dream I have in my mind, translated in sounds in the sensitive world.
can't stop crying while listening to this. Dunno why, but the harmonics are just...
the best version, ever!
Yeol Eum Son. Hard to believe but oh well...
Hands down...but Valentina's is definitely a close 2nd. :)
MusartJD And Idil Beret, the 3rd.
No. Cortot best.
Marzo 1,924. 🎶🎶Bravo.
A favorite. Played very well.
Love this piece, I enjoy it every time playing it (as I do with every Chopin piece!)

I haven't heard anyone else could play this better than Pollini
Just watched the scene from Flying Dutchman, where Ava Gardner intrigues James Mason with this beautiful piece of music. It started me playing piano some 70+ years ago.
one of the few pieces/songs that made me cry. and the list is like 5 pieces/songs long of 2000 ive heard.
One of the best music works
Such a beautiful piece..
My favorite etude! Total goosebumps!
0:58-1:28 has got to be the best part. Well, it is the climax.
Beautiful piano playing :)
Thanks for the upload!
This is my next school piece! I am so excited to finally get it.
So beautiful , its come from heaven🙏
Stunning.....
Chopin and a human heart , the perfect combination
Chopin to najpiękniejsza spuścizna dla ludzkości. ❤️
I'm proud of U Pollini 💛
best part 0:00~2:14
Wow, what a solid performance by Pollini..
Technical and musically in top.
Just UNBELIEVABLE
So...
This is what Erik Maria Bark was trying to learn to play...
This is just heavenly
nobody plays this as well as pollini does imo
what about chopin?
have you hear chopin play?
rubinstein is amazing as well
@@RyanLee-bb7pk chopin would be mortified.
Ashkenazy
I’m currently learning Op. 10 No. 1 by Chopin and when I’m done that I will learn this etude and I will have accomplished piano.
RIposa in pace.
Pollini is just the best there is!
Wow this 'floats'. Between this performance and Rubinstein's I have sooooooo much work still to go polishing this piece
Sublime🥇🎶
Devo ripassarmelo ! me lo sono dimenticato ! TROPPO BELLO QUESTO STUDIO !!!!!!!!!!
Lay down, try not to cry, CRY A LOT
Amazing
Divinity come down from Heaven!
love this
im playing it after I think 5 years of piano
Sublime.
THE REFERENCE !!!
to what?
RIP Pollini
yes exactly! I used the metronome along with this recording and 140 it is but he gets off tempo at certain points
Got assigned this for over the summer and I can't even imagine when I'll be able to get it to sound remotely comparable to this. These arpeggios got me all kinds of fucked up
I Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove this 🎶
I suppose that not even Chuck Norris dares to dislike this. I'm already worried for the five people who pressed dislike...
Tudo que Chopin fez é maravilhoso.
yeah i agree. and it's hard too.
RIP Maestro Pollini 🥀
This is hard for anyone except pollini to play.
I love ❤️ Chopin 🌹🌹🌹🌹
Estupendo Pollini. Sobrio. 🌺🍀🌺🍀🌺🍀🌺🍀🌺🍀
Chopin discovered the language of piano! 🎹
look`s like a challenge!
hermoso !!
@Carlos Rodriguez When you do start practising this, I recommend the Salabert edition with commentary by Cortot. His advice helped me a lot.
1:03 fav part ever
# 1. Estudio Op 25. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🧚👏👏👏👏♥️
underrated in difficulty, and played so wrong by so many. roustikem plays it well, would like to hear evgeny bozhanov play.
thought this song was pretty easy until I realised how FAST IT IS!!! damnnnn
lots of notes
That is part of its beauty. It is deceptively facile to audit and beastly difficult to play and render well
Emily Russell SAME.
The Melody floats “effortlessly” above waves of gossamer sound, ending with a ruffle of gentle sighs
Noah Johnson but never “too many” (Amadeus)
RIP Big man POLLINI
Chopin is the best composer for piano in all times
ARPEGGIO
what the fuck it sounds so heavenly, how did he play it so fast but so gentle
@Dante121892 no this is Aeolian Harp aka Shepherd boy waterfall is op10 no 1
la miglior versione al mondo
i agree with OrangeSodaKing. It's also hard at the same time. I couldn't bring out the right notes or play as fast!!!! But I still luv this piece.
Stainway Spirio.
The Piano you want,
but will never be able to afford.
I tried learning this. I know it's not for now, but for later on.
Also, is the score a Henle edition?
muhteşem
Si es el # 1.
Can anyone suggest me a piece to play in preparation to this one?
Marzo 1,,924. Estudio Op 25.
Learning this piece right now! wish me luck....
how is it going so far?

Marco Roberts oh awesome :) good for you.
I want to tackle this etude pretty soon so wish me good luck ;)
Good luck! :P
Marco Roberts thx :)
Rubinstein is my favourite, but Pollinii is so good too
O.O Whoa... What did my teacher assign me?? SO fast...

recording of Alfred Cortot has 90 years what about Pollini in 2115 ? 😅😅
Wunderschön
So perfect..
