It depends on which angle you look at it. S. Korea's defense budget is 10%, compared to Europe's 1%. We have North Korea, so we have no choice. Also, with a declining population, there are fewer people to pay taxes, so they can't spend as heavily on welfare. On the other hand, healthcare and public education are excellent. For example, Dental cleaning is $10 including x ray and examination. Doctors and pharmacists visit the home of the elderly and treat them regularly.

This social system in Korea is just a consequence of living without Christian values. When people do not have God in their lives, they begin to worship other idols like status, money, and ego. Despite all their hard work, they are still unable to live better than people in some Western countries, which are based on Christian principles. For these poor and abused children, I would seriously recommend reading and learning the Bible, because only a true relationship with God can show them the real meaning of life. I also suggest they consider immigrating to a good Western country, where they will not be bullied by the cruel and senseless system that treats them as replaceable parts in a soulless machine, rather than as valuable human beings.

@habibthephantom7040 To understand the concept of God's Trinity, consider an egg. An egg has three parts: the shell, the egg white, and the yolk. You can look at these parts separately, but together they form one egg. Similarly, the Trinity-Father, Jesus (the Son), and the Holy Spirit-consists of three distinct persons, yet together they are one God.
