While I may not agree with a lot of Taffer’s personal beliefs, he’s absolutely right with this. There are many, many, many factors that can pull any business down, including bars, but the thing that will always sink one the most spectacularly and quickly is when the owner gives up. When you give a shit about the business you run, you can keep limping it through problem after problem, and you’ll do anything to save it. A second mortgage, pulling out retirement money, looking into government help for small businesses. Sometimes it’s not enough, and that’s a damn shame, but a potential of failure does not excuse giving up and guaranteeing it.
Never owned a bar or restaurant but I can tell ya. I’ve failed many times because of myself but self recognition is a thing and I noticed I was a dead beat nobody. Now I’m a somebody in a few peoples eyes making my own money living my own life with twins on the way.
I think a huge part of the problem with bars specifically is that a lot of the time, the owners have a drinking problem and think running a bar will give them an excuse to drink.
Pride can be such an evil thing that destroys many people and families! Love it that Jon Taffer sticks a mirror in front of their face! What an awesome calling he has! ❤
I love this show. You can definitely tell he genuinely wants to help these bars succeed instead of watching them crash and burn. Plus, he has zero fucks to give calling out the owners for the condition these places are in.
Not true. There is one episode where a guy takes responsibility. Jon even points out that no one else has taken responsibility like that. I don't expect him to remember every single exchange.
Thanks to bar rescue and kitchen nightmares, im more vigilant about the places i go and figure out whether the place is being run by someone competent or dumb.
That’s how people get into hundred and thousands because in their minds they think what they’re doing is right but can’t look in the mirror and blame themselves.
Bar Rescue is an awesome show
Facts, that's one of my favorite shows, watch it all the time
Once I start watching I can't stop. Everytime
@@adamjenkins190thats me with Kitchen Nightmares. Now I’m getting into Bar Rescue
‘the euro in Greece’ 😂😂😂

Why was it necessary to include this?

I embrace solutions not excuses.
Jon Taffer always keeps it real 💯

Don't forget the time they blamed a ghost
Oh that episode was hilarious

I can listen to this guy talk all day
His topics make you think
i love the way Jon speaks and how he articulates his thoughts so clearly, it’s inspirational seeing how much he truly cares :] /pos
Is it just me or is it weird to hear Jon Taffer curse without the beeping sound?
Would love a conversation between Jon and Joey Diaz
Taffer dropping F-bombs hits differently outside of Bar Rescue
He forgot to mention the owner who blamed his failure on a fucking ghost
Love this guy
It's weird hearing Jon swear without it being censored
Its so weird hearing him actually curse and it not be beeped because I’ve only ever watched him on tv lol Love his show

I’m so glad he SAID IT. Because I felt I was going crazy thinking it.
This is so true. With everything in life
Thats nuts man. I've seen people take accountability on Gordon Ramsays show. Insane nobody did on Bar Rescue
People with excuses love to be around people who make excuses especially if their excuse line up. Most don't like taking accountability
One owner claimed that a ghost caused his business to fail!!!😂😂😂

Long live Jon Taffer 🙏😌
Hearing him curse is so crazy cause they bleep it out all the time so I've never heard it
How is it possible for him not to be absolutely livid. I thought that was his normal behavior😅
Don't forget about the ghost. It's the ghost fault
Jon taffer reminds of Paul Heyman
Don't forget the ghost 😂😂😂

Blame is the emotion of a child, no matter the age.
When we grow up emotionally, we accept responsibility.
Gotta love Jon ❤
