Ravens have lost 5 games by a total of 22 points. In those games Tucker has missed extra points and field goals totally 22 points. As a long time Ravens fans it’s hard to watch our HOF kicker lose his way. It kind of reminds me of a golfer getting the yips. He has no problem with distance. It’s all in his head. Time to call Dr Phil😂
You realize a touchdown is worth TWO field goals. Can't put that on Tucker he should have made them but the offense should also be getting in the end zone...not put him in that position every week
I've been saying this since last year and I felt like I was the only one seeing the obvious he had the same holder/mentor his entire carreer and when that changed his accuracy/confidence changed with it💯
Koch has been the assistant special teams coach for the Ravens for the past 3 years.. he should be able to tell Stout how to fix it, if that actually is the problem.
I posed that question in a conversation I had yesterday. I wonder how they* account for a move like this roster wise… It is certainly worth a conversation.
Koch has been the assistant special teams coach for the Ravens for the past 3 years.. he should be able to tell Stout how to fix it, if that actually is the problem. Has to be something else.
I feel bad for Tuck. I hope he can get this mechanics figured out or retire after this season before he ruins his legacy. Tucks the GOAT, but you never want to see one of your favorite players fall out of the lime light.
@@chieftron I feel bad for him, too...BUT...I feel bad for my Ravens even more...and Harbs going over there to hug him, ok, where were the hugs for Eddie Jackson and/or Marcus Williams? Dudes like that are outright released, benched, inactive! Where is the accountability for Tucker? The Ravens have lost 5 games this season by 22 points; in those five losses, Tucker has missed kicks for a combined...22 points! I will say this though, Tucker has PROBABLY earned the right to be able to ride out the season and then he should just retire.
@@TheJumpman2317 Jordan is considered the GOAT and he was meh on the Wizards. I don't see pulling that title because of a single poor performance (season vs season).
There could be a mental component to all this for Tucker. But I have a different take on the misses in the Eagles game. His last miss was right not left but...... If you look at the flight of the right miss the ball started right and stayed straight after that. Could be that Tucker adjusted his aim point to compensate for the left misses and then hit the ball in his normal flight. If this is the case maybe he's figured out the ball flight (back to what it normally is) and the last kick was an overcompensation not needed. Tucker knows a lot more than all of us about kicking so maybe he's closer than what the results showed against the Eagles. Let's hope so!
Imagine the fallout if we actually replaced Tucker only for the replacement to miss several game winning kicks. The question is: what are you more confident in, Tucker figuring this out and at least getting to league average, or some random guy off the street being league average. Even worse, if the problem is the holder is inconsistent, now you've replaced a highly accurate kicker who has holder problems with a below average kicker who has holder problems. Personally I don't buy the holder problem answer though. If that was the problem, we'd see them send someone else out there. No other team seems to have that problem.
KC replaced their kicker this season with someone off the street and they went 4/4 the following game. Considering Tucker is currently 32nd in the league, a “league average” kicker would be a huge upgrade
@@ScottsGuitar You're looking at a sample size of 4. That's not really going to tell you much. Also the average field goal rate is usually like 80-85%. The difference between average and Tucker's percentage is entirely the last game vs the eagles. He went from average to worst in 1 game. You're basically describing a "sell low, buy high" approach to kicker replacements.
It's because he forgets to thank God for the misses. In all seriousness though, I think it's a Jordan Stout problem. The way he handles the ball, his torso is more over top of it. He needs to watch reel of Sam Koch and emulate the way he does it. It's messing up Tucker's stride!
I have been saying that for a couple years now. His balls would go straight down the middle then he started hooking. He was practicing hitting from long now he gets in the bad habit of hooking his kicks. He doesn’t have that 65-70 leg strength anymore
I was just reading an article that show what is going on is the fact that Tucker is 35 now. And he’s not able to move as fast! He’s playing against players in their twenties! I thought it was Stout too! But they are saying it’s not!! I think Harbaugh should bring another kicker in as a healthy complement to take the edge off!!! In practice they could feed off of each other! I would love to have Belichick here as a head coach!!
The Raven's will allow him to continue to cost us game's out of some phony commitment to loyalty he's had time he's been missing all year time to 🔥 him😮
Well they have a bye week let’s see what they do and Ravens need to come off bye week ready to win the last 4 no excuses. The good thing is they got the tie breaker vs Denver and Chargers.
It's something unfixable with those three. They would have fixed it by now if it could have been fixed. He could make 50 in a row in practice it wouldn't matter. They are sticking with him bc of the contract. The only thing they can do is hope they figure it out and game plan and call the game around the weakness.
It is like Tuck kicks it, and he has no idea where the ball is going to go, and now it is in his head. He needs a sports psychologist more than a physical tune up, IMHO. Let's see how he handles his first adversity.
Ride or D!e with Tucker. He's been too good for us over the years ..Harbaugh has cost us more games than Tucker therefore he needs to go before tuck does
What about his holder??? Any chance there is some issues between those two??? I think whatever it is, it's very personal as in in the immediate area!!! Whatever it is, they better fix it fast!!!
Harbaugh let the holder go that Tuck has had for years because he wanted to save $500,000. I don't think it's a coincidence that the year we get a new holder Tuck starts missing kicks. I watch clips of Tucker missed hits in Eagles game and I specifically watched the holder. The holder had the ball lending to the right and to the left. I wish they showed the one he did make to see how the ball was.

As a Ravens fan I can’t help but notice this started after the AFCCG. He kind of got punked in warm ups by Kelce and Pat and hasn’t been the same since.
Maybe Tucker just needs the Trea Turner treatment and the entire stadium needs to give him a standing O next home game. The crowd actually booed him sunday and this we know actually has a more negative affect. just a thought.
One of the toughest schedules in football with the loss of almost all of our defensive coordinators from last year and a developing o line and struggles with our kicking. Can't expect them to be flawless
Well, they would be 11-2 if Tucker had hit all of his FG's, but no kicker is perfect, so let's just say 10-3. That's a big reason they're losing so much.
Even considering bringing in another kicker before at least trying to let someone else hold for him is crazy to me. It's like getting rid of your Lamborghini cause the key fob doesn't work.
Maybe it's the holder or maybe even the center's snap ??? Give the guys a chance to work things out before we hit the panic button. Tucker is still the man.
