3 year old Supra owner here. I beg to differ about the 5 must have. 1. XHP - this should be the first mod on a Supra. The tranny tune makes the Supra feel like a beast. 2. Aftermarket steering wheel - the stock one is super skinny and uncomfortable. 3. Magnetic shift paddles - the tactile feedback is worth its time installing them. 4. Downpipe - enough said (should be teamed up with a tune or jb4) 5. Wind buffeting deflector: 😂😅😢 (should be technically 1st mod). 5.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am glad we agree on the Downpipe. I have a video coming for both your #2 and #5, those are both great points. As well as jb4. I have always felt that the trans tune was unnecessary, but I’ll look deeper into it. It isn’t a dct after all.
One caveat I'd add about the catless downpipe: It will throw the CEL, it will drone, and it will smell awful. I started with the VRSF catless downpipe too and I thought I'd be fine with all that, but it really kinda sucks. Always having a CEL made me paranoid that I could be missing real problems, the drone is annoying at highway speed, and the smell was so bad in my garage or sitting in traffic. I switched to the CTS Turbo high flow cat downpipe and it still sounds about the same but a little less drone, no more CEL, and no more smell.
@@CodyDBentley Thanks for mentioning those important points Cody. The smell and drone I can live with (#racecar lol), but the cel is the one kicker I have. I agree, not knowing if something else is going on because the cel is already illuminated is sketchy and makes me uncomfortable. Thanks for providing a solution with the CTS downpipe. How is the sound compared to your old VRSF?
@@Mk5_Matt I would imagine that VRSF's high flow cat would probably yield very similar results, I just happened to catch the CTS downpipe on quite a significant sale! As for sound, I would say they are very similar. I was hoping the cat would make it quieter for my neighbor's sake, but it really didn't lol. It's about the same volume, similar tone, but highway drone is just a bit less. I can still hear the turbo whistle in the exhaust at low/idle RPM, but the catless was for sure a bit more noticeable.

Xhp stage 2 is def required! Honorable mention is powerflex street engine and trans mounts.
@@Mk5_Matt zf is better than a dct. There is a reason why a lot of high performance cars are using it.
Sick car dude
@@ThatSubaruDude thanks bro. I love the wheels you have on your Brz!
Simple videos like these 🤌🏽🔥
More to come!

Looking good. I have a 2024 Renaissance Red Supra. Is yours wrapped? It looks really clean and I noticed the roof is black
@@MikeaZone thank you! I bet your 2024 is nice. My red is factory paint, and the roof is indeed wrapped in gloss black.
@@Mk5_Mattnice! I think after I get a spoiler wrapping the roof will be next on my list. That is a cool look
@@MikeaZone you should make a video on it when she’s done! Enjoy your Soup.
@ hell yea for sure. Enjoy watching peoples mods on this car it’s such a cool car to customize
Looks great, minus the front (racing) tow hook. Pointless to have on the street.
@@richardburns9772 haha thanks. Yeah, the hooks are a wee bit rice lol.
