2019 Durango. This method doesn’t work. As soon as I press both buttons, it raises the temperature setting on the climate control. Any suggestions?

Would this help when the radio (FM) becomes static? It just started to happen where the FM stations are static and only white noise plays. AM is ok and my satellite radio is ok too.

On my Uconnect, it required the up, down temp, and the front defrost to access the menu. When it did access, it was information only, and did not allow any changes or reset. My Nav system shows me in the middle of no where, no roads. At least I am now in he correct state, as I started out in Texas.
Same on mine but there are(at least) two menus. One is the "Engineering" menu and the other is the tech menu.

The local dealer bricked the whole system. I had to have the entire system replaced. RAM covered it for me (2018 model year). I think there is a problem, which is why they covered it. @@moomarkel

Doing it in a 2013 ram. Hold temp buttons and front defrost for 5 sec. Then it'll go to dealer mode. Scroll down to modem rest
Hmm, this did not work on my 2017 Challenger. I pressed the two buttons but no menu came up.

Hi, I did this on my Grand Cherokee 2014 and worked but the original screen changed and now look like an SRT interface without some features like the heater or fans controls/buttoms of the seats. Any help?

2013 Dodge Ram. Radio keeps showing updates. When we did the update the screen went black. Unhooked the battery and now the fob will not unlock and lock remotely and the radio is still requesting updates. Help?
Go to uconnect.com download the recent version on a USB and go plug it in the truck with it in the full power on but not running and upload the update may take 15 mins so make sure you have some way of boosting if needed
Bluetooth connected on uconnect but music not playing from mobile
Every time i get in my car there is a static and crackling sound. It only does it when I get in for the first time or after I’ve been out of the car for long enough for everything to completely disconnect. Anyone else have this?

I have a chrysler 200. My Uconnect will not try to connect to any phone.
So when ever i use the gps or map on my uconnect it stays bright how can i switch it to night mode to see the map at night
The only way I could get mine was to go to display settings and put the whole uconnect in night mode. I couldn't do it under GPS settings.
FYI this was on a Dodge Journey not on a Durango.

I was able to pull up dealer menu with hot and cold buttons plus front defrost but there wasn't anything useful in my menu. I have the same unresponsive touchscreen issue. Were you able to fix yours?

imma try soft reset when i get out of work on my 2020 scat pack, but what these videos don’t tell you is that the car needs to be in accessory mode. everywhere i looked says leave car in run but my car wouldn’t reset or pull up menus like that. will try and see but i think that was the issue for it not working

This worked for me. However I lose the apps section of the uConnect. Which means I lost the SRT pages app. No biggy as I’ve only used it a handful of times.
I know this is a late reply, but I'm posting to help anyone who comes here in the future. My experience with the uConnect reset, is once you reset it, it defaults to basically a base model, regardless of your actual package, until it talks to the BCM, and "relearns" the vehicle. It does take a few times for it to "lock" the features back in. So after a reset, on each boot up, it slowly relearns the options. It quickly (like 2-5 minutes) will show, and allow you to use the options, but to actually "save" the options takes a few days. It really threw me off when I had to reset the radio after Autozone bumped the battery a couple times while replacing it, which was causing weird bugs in the radio. (They would make and break the battery connection multiple times while trying to remove/install the battery, and I didn't know about the sketchy looking OBDII power injector then)

You can't unlock GPS yourself, you need to pay dealer, have them give you unlock code

I found out that if it's not in a Menu, just tape on the time. I think that's how I did it.

Pull out the HFM ( hands free module ) fuse located in the fuse box passenger side while car is off. That does it for me usually.

Ok, I have a beats sound package on my 2014 charger r/t. The stupidity of it not working, as in not coming on in anyway. I tried to replace the screen then lost the compass, it was intermittently coming on and off so I started looking into replacing the unit. Well when I finally get the unit out of the car, the language goes to Austrian and it makes me crazy. If anyone can tell me what to do, that would save this crap from finding the freeway as I hit the governor... PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!!

Peter Rebristy I've tried everything, I have done the battery hard reset, still nothing, I just want it to work. I can't deal with this thing for much longer...
If you did factory reset and hard reset then you have a bad headunit my friend.
I would say put it back in the car, take it back to dodge, have them look at it, if you local dodge dealer is decent one, they may replace it for free under factory defect warranty, worst case they tell you you have to pay for new unit, then just shop online, you can probably get better deal that way, but give your dodge dealer a try first.

if im not mistaken you have to hold down the front defrost button and the hot and cold arrows on driver side all at the same time until screen pops up
Randall Santana I spoke to tech support. They told me to reset Gotta press the Push button twice with your foot off the brake, then hold VR and Green Phone Button On Driver Wheel For 30 Seconds And It'll Shut off. Open the door for about 30 seconds. And then close it and start it up again. It worked. But it didnt fix the issue. They needed to send an OTA update. The previous one they sent had all the 2018 Durangos Screens going black.
