after having an upper gi bleed, i was recommended by surgeons to have an HH repair and a CTiF. I had both procedures at once last week. Unfortunately, during the TiF, the surgeon sutured through a blood vessel which caused me to have a near fatal stomach bleed. I collapsed in the hospital and required a blood transfusion and a stay in the ICU for 5 days, plus two more endoscopies. How common is this possible outcome during these procedures??
