Carmela unleashing her inner mob boss! She “taxed” him, exactly how Tony or Carmine would “tax” their guys as punishment whenever they did something wrong. She let him know, too, with that nail, exactly what was going on - and in that last scene, by mutually *not* bringing up their grievances with the other, they agreed that, to quote Carmine Sr., “it’s settled, John.” In some ways it’s the inverse of the scene in the fifth episode of the show, when Tony tries to dunk on Carmela for letting Father Phil come over, only for her to retort by revealing that Dr. Melfi called her at the house.
6.5k on the painting, another 3k on the Janice intel. Roughly 10k all in, the amount that Carmela requested for the stocks and he told her money was tight. He didn't even spend it on sex, which he could've got for free, he just needed to feel good about it. 😂
Also remember whenever Tony brings up the 40k from the bird feeder, he had Sil give Irina SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS when he broke up with her because she was depressed.
Yes they have to notify the IRS at 10k but that’s why Carmela was putting 9.9 in different accounts, the IRS won’t get notified. The guy at the bank was intuitively pointing out the difference
I love the interaction that Tony knows Carmela knows that Tony knows that he had money and there’s another girl and they’re just both tiptoeing around it😂
I’m watching this show for like the 5th or 6th time, and call me dumb, but I always thought when the lady said “she doesn’t always put her teeth in” it was some kind of expression like she doesn’t put in her part or something. For the first time today it occurred to me that she literally meant she doesn’t put her teeth in her mouth when talking to people and I bursted out laughing. This show always has something to catch. Oh, and that ending scene is one of my favorite of the whole show, literally a stare down. They both know everything, but neither will bring it up. It’s so good, so tense, so much subtext.
That’s a really cool observation! You’re right it’s almost like “if he doesn’t respect my emotional needs for validation in this marriage, at the least he can respect that I do not like this one thing being done to me.” Then he can’t even see why she’s upset that he did it, AND immediately after, to make matters worse, he’s slipped up and made it obvious to her that he had been with another woman recently.
Because Tony is an upgrade on Ralph; more money, higher status. Valentina is monkey branching her way up. Plus, she's probably fed up of Ralph ruining her cheese grater!
1:17 he blocked me on Instagram lmaoo I said something in one of the posts that was political and he got all bent outta shape and blocked me anyways RIP James
Tony passed out covered in chips with dark side of the moon on full blast will always be hilarious to me

What a mellifluous comment
🤌🏾🤌🏾 awesome observation
Fun fact: Tony had the movie The Fugitive playing in the theater room which has Joe Pantoliano in it aka Ralph Cifaretto lol
Lol what an Easter egg!
The end to this episode is such a perfect encapsulation of Tony and Carms relationship, amazing scene

Lmao Tony math is crazy 😅

"My mom said you can tell everything about a man by the way he treats women"
If only she would've taken her advice.
That's an interesting line given that we know her mom hates Chris.
Ohhh the irony 🤦🏽♂️
We’ve had a little bit of a slow burn of episodes this season, BUT NOW we get to the Best episodes of the season coming
Bring it on!!!
oooh next up, Season 4 Episode 9 is one of my favorites of the whole series....
5:53 HUD - Housing and Urban Development--HUD a movie starring Paul Newman

Carmela was humming the ethnic Italian song from Furio’s party in the shower
If he wasn’t a cheating bastard, Carm would have been ok with the water

@@atree5688 Exactly. Too many new and probably original show fans feel like Carm asked for this and should shut up and enjoy the life.
$40,000 from the bird feedorrrr
You sound demented!
I've always thought Tony's luck with women was contrived for the show. Ralph's woman throws herself at him. Why?
Because Tony is an upgrade on Ralph; more money, higher status. Valentina is monkey branching her way up. Plus, she's probably fed up of Ralph ruining her cheese grater!
Besides that, he’s well put-together, confident, and charming. He’s the boss for a reason - Tony’s got people skills!
Carmela pulled a "Tony" on Tony in that last scene !
Turning the tables!
