- Police have arrested 34 people following a night of rioting in Dublin, Ireland. The violent scenes followed a stabbing at a nearby school that injured three children.

Ireland voted to join the EU, that means accepting a certain number of immigrants. America was made by immigrants. I went to grad school in Dublin back in the 70’s. Lots of the grad students were foreigners, as was I.

It's not a question of just building more houses. There's other services such as Healthcare which are on the brink. Immigrants are welcome but need stronger checks at border and a limit to immigration.

The guy who stabbed the kids in the park in France had been denied citizenship in Switzerland as he'd served in the Syrian Army. So he went through several countries before being given citizenship he should have never been given.

But I feel like a lot of countries need to just shut their borders down. Not that it helps here in America because ours are wide open. But we need to shut them down for a while and get all this mess straightened out. I don’t know how but it needs to be done. Because it seems like a lot of countries are suffering from the same issue.

@@yawningpheonix Government serves the purpose they were delegated by the people. Their power derives from us. I know the point you're making but government needs to stay in their lane. Border security is one of them and I absolutely agree you should still be able to protect yourself. Government will not and cannot protect everyone 100% of the time. It's inevitable government becomes an abusive arm of those with enough power to persuade them to do their bidding. The US government is no longer an extension of the people and they have proven to be an agent of someone or something else entirely. Unfortunately, this line of thinking will only make terrorists out of those who know they can't vote to bring real change.
