      Union rules govern overtime pay. If the budget for paying union workers is limited, then the amount of work done for safety is required to be limited. It's not a question about safety of the astronauts or mission success, but about doing what's right for the union employees. That is job #1.

    Starliner crew stranded in space, shameful. The physics of space travel has not changed since the 60's and 70's so what is it? The difference between generations.
    There was a generation that saved humanity then came home to send people to the moon. There was no such thing as acceptable failure to them. It was the Soviet Union that pretended something was not a failure or that it did not happen at all.
    This generation, failure with phrases like unscheduled rapid disassembly to compensate for ineptitude is ok because at least you participated, and you are entitled to something. This is the same generation demanding communism in this country as they applaud and cheer total failure.
    Then Generation - “Failure is not an option”
    Today’s Generation - ‘We are not afraid of failure”

    “Why NASA chose SpaceX and not Boeing to bring back Starliner crew from space…” The Starliner was on its first manned test flight in space. The Starliner could be a potential death trap on reentry! NASA is going to send it back empty.

  • @DaHaiZhu
    @DaHaiZhu 17 дней назад +2

    If any thruster fires too short, too long, or at the wrong time, or the wrong thruster, or even a leak occurs during re-entry alignment, Starliner becomes a blast furnace inside and everything melts or breaks apart into little charred pieces. Boeing is naive in thinking its "Good Enough" to get those astronauts back (alive). Thankfully, NASA, has grown some brain cells and now knows better than to roll the dice.
