@@madhavsirohi2225 I also have tourettes and for me it sometimes is like hiccups in regards to how it's involuntary, but for me at least there are usually social triggers to my tics so I have a decent idea of when I may do so in a very inappropriate manner, so I guess it's a little more predictable than hiccups

One of my buddies has Tourette's and he described it as having like an extremely bad itch that will drive you insane and cause pain if you don't scratch it.
I can confirm that is basically what it feels like
Pretty much. Imagine getting a haircut and your nose starts to itch, that basically sums up what it's like. It's distracting, makes you anxious, and the "ticks" come and go with time. Think of it as a much more physical form of OCD.

I would try to describe colors as emotions
Red: warm, passion, and even rage
Blue: cool, calm, but also isolation and loneliness
Green: Nature and life. Nearly all plants are mostly green
And so on
I would try the same and also associate it with specific objects or place like you did with green. Red: firetruck, Blue: ocean, Green: plants and tress. Yellow: the sun, and so on.
The thing is for green, green is more difficult since green is most likely nature when people describe green, to me for a better term, green is more of a taste since you can't see nature, green is the smell of wildlife, or the smell and taste of plants, the taste of disgust, the sense of disgust or the feeling of life.

I was diagnosed with Tourettes and the best way I can describe it, is that when you are going to tic, it feels like a sneeze, you cant stop a sneeze, and when you do stop a sneeze, it kinda hurts, now imagine it, ALL THE TIME
I can sometimes, but very rarely, experience involuntary spasms right after socially tense encounters are finally over, or when I happen to think of such events from the past. These always happens when I am alone, so I guess they have very little in common with tourettes. Or is there anything in common? Do your tics increase with anxiety and are they worse when you are by yourself?
@@Censeo Tics do increase with Anxiety, but you can get this thing called a tic attack which is like a anxiety attack where it happens under high stress, it can last anywhere from like a few minutes to mulitple hours, where you just constantly tic and you cannot stop it, no matter what, they suck so much
that sounds so annoying, props to you and everyone else diagnosed for being able to deal with that

My best friend from high school has Tourette’s. He’s gotten a lot better with it by now, he just like twitches or blinks funny or sometimes makes a little whistle noise, but he used to twitch a lot mor violently and suddenly, snap his fingers, and make goat-like noises. Somehow through like sheer willpower he managed to reduce it to the point it’s not noticeable unless you already know he has is, or you have been around him long enough to notice it.
This is like yelling at a deaf person expecting them to hear.

To answer your question as to why some people with Tourette’s cuss: There are particular tics that are purely verbal; When I was in middle school, I used to say the word “watermelon” uncontrollably 😅. Sometimes the tic would manifest with certain curse words.
I wasn’t particularly an aggressive kid; so the hypothesis that of “over aggression” is the cause, just doesn’t make sense to me.
To be honest there is no real answer as to why Tourette’s is a thing, though there are medications that can prevent or mitigate symptoms-some how…
i think the hypothesis was saying that the tics can or tend to be aggressive in nature but not that the person with tourette’s is aggressive.
No it’s just that since Tourette is caused by the area of the brain that is associated with agressions or insults the words that comes with tics are like that doesn’t mean that people with tics are agressive
I’m not sure if this happens with anyone else that suffers with tics… Im pretty sure I don’t have Tourette’s, but I’ve had tics almost all my life. I used to have verbal tics and those started from things I would frequently say or noises that I would frequently make. When I was in kindergarten I had a cold once and then for a while after, I developed a sniffling tic. If this same thing applies to others, these tics might develop because they commonly use sweats and got into a really bad habit of it. These are just my thoughts, I’m probably wrong..

My younger brother has Tourette’s and it sometimes changes. He’ll sometimes make popping sounds or he’ll jerk his head and rapidly look up. His though was a side effect of his chemotherapy and my mom tries to give him more organic foods to help with it (definitely not a cure for Tourette’s and I haven’t read anything about the effects of organic foods for those with Tourette’s but at least he’s eating healthier? Lol) Tourette’s sure is strange

For some reason someone that looks "intimidating" or is large, whenever they are wholesome feels more wholesome than normal.
So many huge body builders like that are super nice too. Pretty much all the biggest dudes at my gym are also the nicest, most welcoming people. Guy sees me hit a new PR on bench that is 1/5th his, and he gets all excited, lol. There are some jerks, but honestly most body builders I know have been the greatest people.
I heard the term for this is called ‘gap moe’

I'll explain why, I'm not as big as that guy but I'm 6'2 and 105kg. People who are rude/Karen's etc, that all stems from insecurity. If you feel bad about yourself, you want to make others feel as bad as you feel.
But most people with good bodies, they aren't that insecure. Maybe they started that journey out of insecurity so they know how it feels, but usually they're just content with things.
The rudest and most unhappy people are those who hate themselves.

I would discribe colors as textures. There are ones that feel smooth and nice, and there are ones that feel rough and unplesant. You can also discribe mixtures of different colors as combinations of different textures. For example, trying to explain complementary colors would be explained by textures that go well and suit each other.

He doesn't have sight but he has his other senses. What I would do is get data on what each color normally makes people feel, and then look at what smell, taste, touch and sound produces the same feeling. Then give him those other sensory inputs as a description of the color.
The body builder guy seems really nice. I remember when i first started out going to the gym when i was quite overweight i was terrified that muscle dudes were gonna judge me, but honestly i've found that the beefier the guy the nicer they are often tbh

Ticcing is a really hard thing to describe but for me personally it feels like a really quick rush of energy and then my body does something. I have the classic swearing tics that is always betrayed in media and what people come to think that Tourette’s is when in reality it’s not. I also have movement tics and other types .
You don’t always feel them coming I cannot count the times I’ve scared myself to death my suddenly shouting or hitting my head for example
I personally always when when I tic I’m not sure about others but that’s just my own experience

If you mean by how loud they are definitely not I can be shouting one minute whispering the next.
If you mean how often Tourette’s usually go up and down in frequency some days I’ll be pretty good that I can feel I can leave my house by myself and not be scared other times I will be huddled up in my house for weeks because I’m too bad I won’t what to go anywhere because I feel I can’t enjoy myself
Sleep for me isn’t too bad but for my mum (who also has Tourette’s and yes it is hectic in my house) has real problems with her sleep
she probably seemed tense because she was. She looks like she’s trying to suppress her tics which can be both a conscious and unconscious thing. For example you could be like in a shop and not be ticking or ticcing less and then as soon as you leave you like feel your muscles like relax and your tics become worse.

I would say: we need light to see like we need voice to hear. Volume in voice is brightness in light. Higher frequency in voice is the more yellow (annoying, catchy, energetic so happy, hot, high tension). Lower frequencg is the more blue (calm, cold, relaxing, no tension). Between them to yellow is red (warm, interesting) and to blue is green (cool, peaceful).
I feel like the best way to describe color to a blind person, is that every color represents a certain temperature. Red orange and yellow are hot colors. Blue purple and green could be described as cold colors.

Exactly what I thought. That would be the easiest because the colors would be associated with a physical sense. Another way could be using smell, temperature and sounds found in nature such as soil for brown, and the smell of pine(or whatever tree/green plant) to associate with one of the uncompromised senses.
But if they've never seen color then maybe they don't associate any feelings or temperatures with color. Even if they did they could associate what we see as blue as pain so there really is no way. It's like describing a brand new color to people who see.

Those color associations stem from things we can see that are hot or cold though. Like ice and fire.
