in your video, when you're showing the camera mode. there is no multi-expo which my phone doesn't show that function as well but when i checked others they all have the multi-expo and a lot more function in camera mode.. my firmware is 1.77. my phone is s20plus. Do you have any idea why the function is much less than the others or why there is some missing?

The app doesn't pick up the device on Samsung note 20. You can connect it by pairing it with Bluetooth but you can't use the device since you need the app to connect. It's really frustrating. Any tips as I've tried everything
The Smooth 4 does not do 360 degree panning like the Smooth Q. It also doesn't roll since it has no joystick and roll is locked even in follow "all" mode. Basically 2 important Smooth series functions are crippled on the Smooth 4, it doesn't say these limitations on the box, is advertised for mobile film makers, and also sold as an upgrade/replacement to the Smooth Q. This is a downgrade from the Smooth Q.

depending on whether your device is supported by zhiyun will determine how well the app works with your phone just because some fetures dont work does not mean the app sucks it just means that your device is not fully supported for some of the fetures

I have the Smooth-Q it is a great equipment but the Android App is terrible. My cellphone is Galaxy S8 and many features not work like Panoramic mode, slow motiom mode, Gallery not save the shots, I not allowed to make videos in 60FPS. It's sad because I like my Smooth-Q but without a good App the gimbal became not so good.
@@rainerlein Just bought it, tried using with the LG G6. Pretty much the same as in the review. I got much better results using the built-in camera app.
It doesn't matter what cellphone do you have if it is android, the only problem will be, is the nicest features are working with IOS or iPhones if you want, But if you not going to use the zyu app or film pro, works perfectly with the Samsung built in camera. That's why i purchased both, the zhiyun smooth 4 and the DJI Osmo mobile 2 for the features
I wish I saw your review before I bought this. All the ones we watched, none even mentioned any Android compatibility issues. :-( We will try it and if it doesn't work, send it back.

Great review - just watched your DJI Osmo mobile 2 video. I'm sad to say I bought the Smooth 4 only 2 months ago, but didn't use it much until now. Also I'm not sure if anyone else has this, but I've noticed the top connectors above the handle seem loose and they clack if you move it back and forward and you can hear it in your videos. Product quality is low! Motion tracking seems to work a bit after updating to the latest firmware, but I think I'm going to buy the DJI Osmo instead. Buyer beware.

The app is different for each model. You should check the website for compatibility and limitations

Nope it was on the Gimbal.. It was shot on the osmo 2 wait for the video in a few days.. Post only y used stabilozation.

Dji osmo mobile 2 works on both the Android devices..
You should mention that it dosen't work with every android phone. Dosent connect to the zhiyun app on my moto G5s.

Well they don't advertise that way. They say its for smartphones. And the osmo mobile 2 works well on. Android. Check the other video
