In the rail industry, these are often known as Western Region Barriers, as it was the British Railways Western Region that installed them.

That's correct, however there were numerous exceptions: I know at least a dozen crossings in the East Midlands (mostly LNE region) that historically had them as well!

uk level crossings come back to that crossing in 6 months thats when it will be upgraded
