    Great video, I especially like that you gave detail of the trees in the environment. I didn’t know the difference between the more pointy leafed Birch and the more round leafed Aspen, thanks

    They're delicious - much firmer than L. scabrum but go black when cooked like orange birch boletes. Maggots love the stems though!

    Have found a lot of Boletes this week - particularly what I thought were red cracking boletes. I didn't think red cracking boletes turn blue on cutting but I've found they have, slightly. If it blues, is it a red cracking?

    • @russellharris5314

      could be a Scarletina Bolete. This channel has done a video on that one in perticular that mentions how to idenify it and what lookalikes you need to watch out for

    • @WildFoodUK1
      @WildFoodUK1  Год назад +3

      There are several different xerocomeloids that all look very similar and some do stain a bit blue. All are edible, it’s a complex group to I’d to precise species though. As Russell says there are also several other species that turn blue. We’ve done vids on the lurid, the scarletina and the satans too :)

    • @WildFoodUK1

      Sajnalatos modon en egyaltalan nem szeretem a kamera masik oldalat (Marlow abban "tevedett", hogy ez valami uj dolog, hisz sosem szerettem, ha fotoznak, de azt kulonosen nem, ha filmeznek, igy igyekszem ezt elkerulni. Ha nem latom a kamerat, meg csak-csak o.k., de egy mobillal felvett "short" vagy hosszabb video eseten ez eleg nehezen kivitelezheto). Ennek ellenere biztosan lesz meg egy par alkalom, amikor nem tudom elkerulni, hogy kamera ele keruljek ;-)

      Köszönöm a válaszát! Elfogadom az indoklást is. Kívánom, hogy sok-sok gombát találjon és ismertesse meg az érdeklődőkkel! Bár azt azért még mindig hasznosnak találnám, ha megmutatná önmagát és ezzel demonstrálná a magyar ember tudását ország világ felé. Ezzel szembeállítaná azt a negatív képet amit sok honfitársunk nagy erővel elkövet.
