It's a good thing you're not endorsed by The Catholic Church. Because of you trully new ANYTHING about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, you would know that truth is that we know and practice The Bible, and we abuse by its teachings so long as it is translated correctly. And THAT IS THE TRUTH. We know as well as any other Christian Faith. Lastly the TRUTH IS we are NOT MORMONS. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Short for calling us Latter-Day Saints, and THAT IS TRUTH. We are not Mormons any more than Catholics are Lutherans or Baptists are Methodist. The Ancient Prophet Mormon abridged and compiled the other books in The Book of Mormon. God does not call His Church - The Church of Jesus Christ of Mormons. That dear folks IS TRUTH.

Prove that the Catholic Church hid the bible. Give me some facts from now on to back up your overzealous claims.
The Catholic Church never hid the Bible. Rather, the Catholic Church made the bible, copied the bible for over a thousand years, and translated it into different languages. The Church also taught the bible to people, quoted it often, and even taught it in seminaries to priests, like Luther for example, who was commissioned to teach the Bible by the Catholic Church when he was a priest.
Also, the Catholic Church is not a pedophile club lol. That is just ignorance. Pure and total ignorance. Which is why I made a video on the topic for uninformed people like yourself who has not studied this topic. ruclips.net/video/4GK2Z6lTdAo/видео.html If you are going to make claims, start giving facts. First off, I’m not Catholic. As someone who was born and raised in the Mormon world for 56 years, I’ve never heard it all stated more perfectly and more hysterically! All true! I left the church after a lifetime in it for a lot of other reasons 14 years ago. As this young man is stating, he could go on and on, and he indeed could. And it’s not to be mean. The Mormon people are basically fabulous people but that’s the problem. Their deeds and their kindnesses, and with some, their wealth is all quite impressive but that’s the problem! All the far out things you must do, unfortunately, are not going to save them, but it “feels” like it especially if you’re living all those rules. You develop a sense of entitlement and feel special because you do all those right things. Understanding the word of God, venerating him and giving him your heart, and simply loving others as he would is Christian and way too “simple” but is what it takes, yet it’s very difficult for them to see since they are so busy “working.” A confusing, exhausting, religion that will take everything you have from you, along with our Savior, Christ himself, which is the saddest thing of all.

I became a believer in Jesus at age 22, after years of Catholic indoctrination. Over 15 yrs. of Cath. education, and never once was the substiutionary atonement of Christ mentioned. Instead, they taught that because you are a sinner you made Jesus suffer and die because of your sins...therefore you need to do tons of things to attain salvation.....sacraments, confession, make someone else a Cath. who isn't one, go to Mass, etc. So I was overjoyed to discover i didn't have to worry about those things anymore....Christ took the penalty for sin upon himself. I liken Catholicism to what's spoken in Romans 7......all the terms of the law cannot justify you before God. And that's what Catholicism taught all of us......blind obedience to terms of the law. There are some Catholic believers, like me now, but possibly stumbled onto the gospel by accident, like I did.

As a son of a mormon mother. I need to correct you in a small detail.
Coffee and tea are not allowed. Yet drinks with caffeine in them are allowed.
The church never "upgraded" the "laws" to include cafinated drinks.
Joseph Smith claimed that God told him that coffee, tea, and tobacco were bad.
Yet it took a couple of generations to eliminate them.
Historical records show that Joseph Smith, among many others, still ordered coffee for their trip out of N.Y.
The younger generation, however, was not allowed to partake.
As for these days. The Mormon church claims that it has nothing to do with caffeine.
It is all about doing what God tells us to do.
Therefore, coffee is not allowed because God fobid it.
However, God does not forbid redbull, or many types of chocolate that are high in caffeine.

I think it has to do with booze. Back then they put booze in everything. He's not correct about the caffeine thing either. Its hot drinks which Joseph Smith said were coffee and tea. I'm on a personal journey to learn more about Jesus. I'm talking to Mormons weekly now. They are super kind and very caring about me and my family. Atleast appear to be. They want me to attend their church and be baptized. I'm not sure about it, as I attend a Baptist church already & was baptized there. I have no intention on converting or anything like that. I just enjoy talking to them about God and they make me feel better about myself. I've been in recovery for about 7 years now and trying to strengthen my relationship with God and teach my kids about Him also. But anyways, yes, i find them a little strange but I feel as I'm helping them feel like their mission isn't for nothing. I'm sure they get turned away and shunned on a regular. So I talk to them and allow them to visit and pray with me and for me. I text them throughout the week and let them know someone cares about them. I have seen videos on how they are treated and sometimes looked down upon if they aren't doing enough of this or that. I feel extremely sad that this happens to such good young people. I figure they don't realize what's going on in their church at such a young age (as they are about 19 or so).. but anyways, I'd consider them a friend. As they grow, they'll become more aware and probably leave anyways..as many already have. They aren't pushy about anything in my experience with them.. they just seem genuinely good-hearted & loving. I wish the best for them and hope they have a good future. I pray for all that are lost. Much love - from a stranger in WV. 🙏✝️❤

I am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I have heard others talking bad about our church and this man is no different. I do not like to hear others talk badly about the LDS or any other church. I feel that if someone has a love for others they respect others. I don't believe that the Catholic church or any other church for that matter is free from being attacked by someone with hate in their heart. Let me say some of the things he mentioned in his assault on the LDS church are true but twisted to distort the truth. I have read the Book Of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ and have found it to be the word of God. If you really want to learn about the church don't listen to haters but find out for yourselves. Many of the comments that have been shared are from people that are looking for their Heavenly Father, my advice is to find out for yourselves and not take the word of someone that is laughing and insulting someone else"s beliefs.

Telling the truth about another religion is not the same thing as talking bad about them. I actually love Mormons and loved all of our dialogues and meetings. I’m extremely familiar the doctrine the church teaches. Everything that was said in this video has been falsely said about the church and it’s belief for years, this guy just read a bunch of Anti Mormon books and is regurgitating them. He has not actually studied what members of the church believe.
As an actual member who knows what’s taught and believed in the church, almost everything that was said is either completely misrepresented or is false.
As a member of the church I have a very personal relationship with my savior Jesus Christ, I am often influenced by the Holy Ghost which influences me to want to do good and serve others like Christ served. I believe it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that I am saved. I have felt the guilt and shame of sin washed from me because of my faith in the Lord which faith has lead me to repentance. All the blessings I enjoy in this life have come from my Heavenly Father and my Faith in my Savior has come to me because of the doctrine that’s taught in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I'm not alone you can't say that everything was wrong. In fact, many Mormons and former Mormons have all said the things in his video were true. We're mostly true but with a few understanding. That's more accurate than your extreme position with shows you probably didn't even watch the video. Another thing, the Mormon website says that the father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three separate beings and three separate Gods. We stated that in the video. So again, everything in the video was wrong. They were correct, with the exception of maybe the caffeine one because you like everything else the Mormons have changed at this also subsequently.

@@CatholicTruthOfficial Your exact words: "They actually baptize people who are already dead." Really? We baptize dead people? No, in the temples, baptisms FOR the dead are performed by proxy. There are millions and millions of people who lived on the earth and never had the opportunity to hear the gospel, and many didn't even know of Jesus Christ, the Savior. Our Father in heaven is a loving, just God, and He wants everyone who ever lived to have the opportunity to hear the gospel and have the chance to accept or reject it, so if they didn't have the opportunity to hear it in this mortal life, they will be given the chance to hear it in the Spirit world after they die. And in reference to your comment about an atheist; just because someone does the proxy temple work for someone else who has died does not guarantee that he will be saved in the Celestial Kingdom. Only God knows our hearts, and if we have the chance to accept the gospel in this life and fail to do so, well good luck with that! But God is our final judge. It's not for me or you to judge who goes to the Celestial Kingdom (heaven, if you like that word better) or not. But, again, everyone who didn't have the chance here to accept the gospel in this world will have the chance in the spirit world.
The Bible makes reference to "work for the dead", in other words, proxy baptism. 1 Corinthians 15:29 in the New Testament says, " Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

I tried to tell one of them that there was something in one of their trees he would not even acknowledge me. It has been up there for 7 days and they have children. If it is heavy I hope it doesn't fall in one of them. Also a year and a half ago this neighborhood did not have any Mormons in it. They started moving in after I found out that my husband was having an adulterous affair with a much younger Mormon woman. He doesn't live here with me now, but this young hussy has changed the house she stays in 5 times since the affair started. He, my estranged husband lies and says she doesn't exist, even though she and all her protectors drive by my house at least 20 times a day. They hacked my phone and were stalking me until I was left without a car by my oh so rotten SO. He has lied to our grown kids too. Playing innocent. Even though his colleagues at work and security have seen her daily with him
They also team up to sneak him into her "home" nightly and out again the next day. His little jezebel has a license from the state to counsel people who have mental health issues. Imagine that. Also she is from the Stclair family, part of the Sinclair family. Money. He made sure that I have no money, no car and am living in a house that should be condemned trying to blame me for it. I do not know carpentry. The roof has been partly gone for 5 years. Have to empty lots of buckets when it rains. Mold is growing and I cannot get any help. I called the local law enforcement when this all started, they are no help, in fact the female cop showed up and the only question she asked me was "does Dementia run in your family??" Are you kidding me. These people have had me terrified on lots of occasions. They feel that it is ok to harass and scare a 65 year old woman who has no resources at her disposal. The mormons do not care. I cannot talk to anyone at the local morman churches, or at the Temple in Salt Lake City. They are the most ungodly people I have ever known. They all are driving new cars now, hell I would love to have a used. car. I cannot get to the grocery, my daughter and her sperm donor go. I have been out only about 10 times in a year if I can find a ride and I have to pay someone. I gave every dime I had to our family and did everything for everyone. But no one stands up for me. He is in debt as am I but he has a retirement account. We had to use mine so it is gone. We bought a house after we married using my VA loan but the house was foreclosed on after he lost his job. I still have $10,000 to pay on the house..We are behind o doing taxes by 16 years. He never does anything to fix any of the messes. But blames me. I gave up. As an ex-Mormon who used to be a missionary let me correct you on some falsehoods. Do mind that as an ex-Mormon I have no love for that church but if there is anything I believe in as someone who doesn't believe in any god anymore, it's accuracy and honesty. As much as I agree with you that Mormonism and Catholicism are not the same, when I was in the church I never professed that they were similar. So this also depends on the member I would say. So let's look at the points you try to make and I will give some comments:
    1) Mormon Doctrine does NOT call the trinity three gods. They do say they are separate entities but since you need to have had a physical body first and have a minimum of one eternal marriage, it's impossible for the Holy Spirit to be a god at this stage as he is a spirit being and has not had a chance to have a body yet etc. So by Mormon definition the Holy Spirit is currently not a god. As for Jesus he might have had a body in this world and he may have temple endowments done but he is not considered god as he will be god to his own children and not his father's children. Christ is considered an older brother to all of us in a rather more literal sense. Christ is called the only-begotten however because of the immaculate conception being unique. They do believe that there are many gods but each one is the only god to his children. This still means that in Mormon doctrine God the Father is the one true god. Jesus plays a role as his representative and mediator between us and god the father. If Mormons told you that they see the trinity as three actual gods, they do not understand their own doctrine.
2&3) Here you show another misunderstanding. Mormons believe that we are literally children of god. All of us. So in the pre-existence (time before we came to earth), God and his wife or wives had many billions of children that were born in spirit. Then the plan was presented that we could come down here and earn a body that would then be exalted afterwards if we merit it. If we do and have one or more wives then we can start our own spirit family and do the same for them. That also means that the God of our God is our grandfather, literally. It's not some random other god. This also explains why Mormons are so family oriented because at the core this is one big family thing. And an eternal family as such as the family continues forward eternally, it also goes backward eternally. There is no first god in that sense but an eternal family. The reason that we only speak of god the father and not the mother is because of the priesthood being the role of the man. This is actually something that is very catholic also. So god essentially to the outside is the person but the role of the mother is also very important in that equation so it's a shared responsibility in which the man and wife or wives have separate roles.
4&5&6) The pre-existence as I mentioned already is the spirit world that they say we lived in before coming to earth. Not only were Lucifer and Jesus brothers, they were our brothers and the eldest ones at that. Again they are seen as our literal brothers. The bible does have references to the war in heaven as it's called when Lucifer took off which one third of the angels, which in Mormon doctrine means a third of the children of god and his wife (wives). The mark of Cain being black skin is something that needs a bit more context. It is true that this is the doctrine and it's why black men were not allowed to hold the priesthood. However, it has to be said that in the time that the Mormon church was founded in the 19th century this was actually a more common belief and as their church was founded in that period it became part of their doctrine. Also other faiths subscribed to this idea but as their doctrines were set already before it wasn't added or seen as needed as an addition. So yes, they do believe it but I also believe this to be a Zeitgeist element that coincided with the creation of their church. Unlucky you could say but it wasn't until the 1970s that they rescinded this saying god had forgiven them and from then on they could get the priesthood.
Railing on polygamy is disingenuous from your side since polygamy and having concubines was normal in the Old Testament and prophets of your god participated in this, so I'm not sure why this is an issue for you. The Mormon church still has polygamy in the sense that if you get married in the temple (which is for eternity) and your wife dies and you remarry in the temple, both marriages count for the afterlife. You will effectively have two wives after your death. But again it's rather disingenuous to complain about a practice that is normal and ok for prophets in the bible.
7&8) There are indeed three degrees in heaven but also within the celestial level. So you can be in the celestial level as a single but only get the highest grade if married.
The caffeine thing is false. Joseph Smith at some point wrote down what is known as the word of wisdom, which later was changed from advice to church law. In that law it is said that hot drinks should be avoided as they are considered bad for the belly. This was later interpreted as tea and coffee. This caused a lot of members to believe that the reason for this was the caffeine but this is not doctrine. In fact Coca Cola won a lawsuit about that and the church has been careful about this. But from a doctrinal point of view it's not forbidden to take caffeine like in soft drinks, just tea and coffee. This is of course ironic because they will drink herbal teas for example and the reason for this advice was probably just to not drink your tea too hot because that is bad for you. But caffeine itself is not forbidden by church doctrine. Any Mormon who says it is, again, doesn't understand their own doctrines.
    9) Baptisms for the dead are a thing, as well as performing marriages for the dead. However, it must be noted that this is a matter of law to them. Everybody who ever lived should have the chance of accepting or rejecting what they see as the true church. So these temple rites are performed to give the deceased the opportunity to accept OR reject them. Therefore it's not that people are automatically saved or members of the church by these baptism. As far as I know baptism is also key for Catholicism as they do baptize newborns (which Mormons don't). This is their way of dealing with the question of: what happens to people who never had a chance in their life to embrace the true faith? I could ask the same of Catholics and if the answer is that they don't need to be baptized to be saved, then what's the point of having baptisms at all? Strange as the whole concept may be, it does fit within the logic of a religion that hasn't had the chance to reach every person alive ever.
    10) One of the reasons Mormons believe John is still alive and never died is because of John 21 (verses 21-23). I'd like to hear your interpretation of that. However, if god had indeed decided that John would stay alive till the return of Christ on earth as it seems to say in that bible passage, then why would there be sightings and news reports? Is god not all powerful? So you're actually questioning the ability of god to do this. Also please note that there are NO records reporting that Jesus existed during the time he was supposedly alive. None. It's all AFTER and it's all based on what the early Christians wrote down at least 50 years after Christ supposedly died and resurrected. But no one reported this at the time. Also there are no historical references for King David, Abraham etc. So why rail on the Mormons for believing someone was alive but have no sightings when most of the players in the bible are historically unconfirmed. That should bother you too.
Listen, you don't like the Mormons. That's cool. I don't either. But then I don't like Christians over all because they all believe weird things that only have become normalized in our society because it was forced down people's throat with violence if needed. The Mormons added a book to the bible. A lot of Christians hate that. But these Christians forgot they did the same with the Jews. The Christians took a translation of that Tanakh and added some things to it and made some interesting translation and punctuation differences that actually changed the meaning of certain things and even changed the order of the books. Then it was called the Old Testament and a New Testament was added. In essence you took the Jewish faith and said they were wrong and you knew better and added stuff to it. So with all due respect but all you Christians are crazy to believe what you believe from where I'm sitting. Also your bible says judge not lest ye be judged and you seem very interesting in judging others, particularly Mormons. I guess the end justifies the means? It's things like that why I can't take Christianity seriously. But if you must insist on ignoring the wise words of your bible, can you at least be accurate with your accusations and play fair? I have demonstrated mistakes in what you said and it's also clear that you accuse them of things that your own faith also does. I think that it's rather a case of the pot calling the kettle black in that respect.

Well, not exactly. Matthew 5:48 King James Version (KJV)
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Jesus does not here claim to be perfect. But on the cross, he declared, "It is done". Later, after his death and resurrection, he says, King James Version
"Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." but later he has Thomas feel his wounds which presumably were maintained for this purpose. Thomas, Jesus does not go through any changes. Jesus is God, the very eternal wisdom and power of God. Therefore, He has always been and always will be perfect. The Bible even says: "Which one of you can accuse me of sin."
      He was perfect.
However, He emptied Himself of His glory and became a perfect human for our sake. However, He ascended back into heaven into his former divine glory. There were no state changes going on, and the Bible doesn't really subscribe to this.

He completely changed his life, abandoned his whole lifestyle and was rejected by his partner and family as a result yet continues to press forward. The doctrine of the church is true because it works. It produces a people with the highest sense of well being and happiness which is the principle purpose of life and the promise you are given if you live the principles. This is scientifically proven as well in massive studies that have taken place at UPenn and elsewhere that I read and converted me and other atheists to that way of life. OK, I'm an older Mormon/LDS. It is my desire to understand and try to follow what the Lord wishes me to do. With that said, here's the real deal with caffeine. Many LDS think that since coffee and tea are currently "forbidden", it must be because of caffeine. Dumb, easy, incorrect reason. Maté which is drunk in South America has more caffeine and is not counseled against because of the caffeine. It's because everyone sucks on the same drinking gourd. The original statemen in the "word of wisdom" was about "hot drinks". Drinks that burn the mouth are known to cause problems. Early Mormon pioneers drank coffee and tea made with buffalo's left over water, while on their wagon trips to Utah. Boil the water, kill typhoid, dysentery, etc, add tea or coffee, let it cool then drink it. The counsel says it is "for the weakest of the saints or those or those who would be called saints." That would be youngsters and those thinking about joining the church. Christ is saying, "Here is something tangible you can do. Here is an easy way to begin to know me. Also you can read the Book of Mormon. You do your part, I will do mine. Follow me, I will help you". Most if not all who are thinking of joining the church will probably be using coffee, tea, alcohol or tobacco, the things specified in the "word of wisdom. They are things specified by the Lord so that He can provide blessings to those who wish to begin a relationship with Him. It's not caffeine, it's "Hey, there, here is something you can do to follow me. Want a hug? Try it."

@@rosejladybugvideos I’m a devoted member too. None of these false accusations are true. I have a list of things Catholics don’t tell ppl or rather they deny it. Latter-day Saints never deny mistakes etc.
Some things Catholics don’t tell you:
Praying to Virgin Mary is not right
Intercession of saints seem more important than Jesus
They think Jesus is God and that he is some interchangeable being. Paganism corrupted the Catholic Church a long time ago and isn’t the original church Christ put on this earth. The Catholics have been known for burning many innocent ppl for standing against the oppression and even the corruption of pedophilia towards children and even homosexuality. Being homosexual or anything along that is a serious sin. Thou shalt not commit adultery! His Commandments still ring true to this day.
The trinity is the center of their beliefs even tho it’s not three in one.
Lastly, the pope declared sexual sin isn’t serious. Well let me tell you this, I will never leave the true church restored upon this earth. Joseph Smith was a true prophet. The Book of Mormon is true. Just as the bible is. Catholics seem to deny verses in the bible and cherry pick parts to bible bash Latter-day Saints. The trinity is false man made doctrine because Constantine and the Nicene councils made it up. Peter never went to Rome when he was alive but his corpse was moved to Rome and he was turned into some saint. Jesus is the Son of God and isn’t a baby. Mary is the mother of Christ not the mother of God. I have spoken the truth of Christ. Matthew 7:13-14 speaks of how few find and enter the narrow gate that has truth and life within it. Many walk through the wider gate that unfortunately leads towards lies, deception, destruction etc.
Most denominations will accuse Latter-day Saints of not being Christian. Yet did Jesus teach you to falsely accuse a fellow believer? No. So I will say, we Latter-day Saints are the few who choose the narrow path towards life and truth. We solely believe in the original teachings of Jesus Christ. I have spoken absolute objective truth. Opposition’s opinions are subjective and will be debunked without hesitation.
The Catholics have admitted somehow they’re Baal worshipers aka sun worshipers aka Nimrod and his mother being the center of attention. Jesus isn’t the Sun deity and Nimrod’s wife apparently became the “mother of god” to turn nimrod into her son. It’s twisted but true. For Jesus foretold that there would be false Christs who twist and pervert the gospel. I testify it has come true.
Nimrod is not Jesus but many don’t realize they’re worshiping the sun god “sola invictus” aka nimrod in the Roman dialect.

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I would never tell anyone that we are the same as the Catholics. I also want to go over the 10 things brought up by this guy in the video so you will get a perspective from a "Mormon" about what we believe about these topics:
    1. Are there millions of Gods? First off we do believe as Paul taught in 1 Corinthians 8:4-6 that there are gods many and lords many but to us there is but one God the Father and one Lord Jesus Christ whom we worship. Why would Paul say this? Because this is what the Lord also taught in Psalms 82:6. He taught that we are all gods. Some deny this and try to say that this verse means "judges" but Jesus reiterated this in John 10:31-36 when he taught that, "I said, ye are gods". You can't replace "gods" with "judges" in John 10 and make it work. And it was Jesus quoting Psalms 82:6 in John 10:34. So if Jesus believe we were all gods, then how many have people have lived on the earth? I would say at least millions.
He mocks us when we say that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are 3 separate and distinct Gods yet they all represent the one true God. What I can never believe that the Catholic Church teaches is that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are the same being. Where does it ever teach that in the Bible? The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are 3 separate and distinct persons and beings and each of these Gods represent the one true God who is the Father. They all 3 are united in purpose, doctrine, and glory. They all represent a single idea of God and thus they are all a representation of the one true God. Even Jesus taught that we too can become one even and the Father and Jesus are one. This also does not mean that we become the same being but that we too become united in purpose, doctrine and glory.
    John 17:20-23
    20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be cone in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
    2. Did God become a man like us? It is obvious that Jesus was God before the foundation of this earth. A simple reading of John 1:1-3, 14 tells us that Jesus is the Word of God and that he was with God the Father in the beginning and he also was God (part of the godhead). It was through him that the Father created all things. Anyone who reads or understands the Bible knows that God the Son became flesh and dwelt among us. Yes. Jesus became a man. He was perfect but still a man. In Genesis 1:26 it tells us that God said, "Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness" Who do you think these who are God are who spoke this? What it not God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ? Yes!! And the made mankind in their very image and likeness. God the Father is in the image of man and so is Jesus. They are mankind. In Paul's epistle to the Hebrews 1:3 he taught that the resurrected Jesus with his body of flesh and bones (Luke 24) was the very express image of the person of the Father. The truth is that man and woman became a man and woman just like God. They were both created in his image and likeness.
    3. Can man become a God? Would Jesus give us a commandment if we could never fulfill his commandment? In Matthew 5:48 has Jesus command us to be perfect even as our Father in Heaven is perfect. Can we be exactly perfect as our Father in Heaven and not be what he is? In John 17:20-23 above we understand that we can become one with the Father and Jesus even as they are one and receive the same glory. It states that we may be made perfect in one with the Father and Son. Can we truly do this without become just like them? We read in Psalms 82:1 that God judges among the congregation of the gods. Yes, we do believe that the purpose of God is that we become like him and actually become one of the many gods that Paul refers to in 1 Corinthians 8:4-6. If man can become a God then why is it strange to believe that God himself became what he is? If Jesus does nothing but what he has seen the Father do(John 5:19-20), then why is it so hard to believe that maybe the Father was once a Christ on his own world. Did Jesus see the Father suffer for the sins of the world? If God has his own universe and if we are become what he is, is it so hard to believe that we could one day have our own universe and kingdom?
Man cannot become a God without the woman the same as a woman cannot become a God without the man. Paul the Apostle taught the neither is the man without woman nor the woman without the man in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 11:11). In Genesis we also read that when the man and woman marry that they are to become one flesh (Genesis 2:24). Also in the the New Testament we are taught that through the priesthood that whatsoever a man seal or binds on earth can be bound in heaven. (Matthew 18:18). We exercise that right and seal a man and woman on earth to be eternally married in the heavens. We believe that man and woman are to be sealed in marriage for not only time but also for eternity and family members can also be bound together in eternity as a family. Yes we believe that just as Jesus is the express image of the Father we believe the Father also has a resurrected immortal body the same as Jesus. We believe that he has been sealed to an eternal wife which is our Mother in Heaven who gave birth to our spirits before we came to this earth. This we believe is the eternal purpose of man and woman.
I will comment on the other 7 later.

I'm an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While I don't speak for the church, upon watching this video, I felt there were a number of points that were either very misleading or just incorrect, and I would like to attempt to set the record straight for anyone who is interested. I'm really not interested in engaging in a debate on this, so please do not expect me to respond to comments.
There are millions of gods: FALSE
While it is true that the LDS belief in the godhead is that they are three distinct beings, there is no doctrine of the church that claims there are millions of gods beyond the godhead. While personal opinions among members of the church may vary, this is not something that I personally believe and should not be attributed to a position of the church.
God was once a man like us: FALSE
I suspect this is attributed to the quote by Lorenzo Snow, "As man is, God once was; As God now is, man may become." To clarify, the church teaches eternal progression including a progression of glory; something we all engage in as we evolve mentally and spiritually. This does not mean that God was ever mortal, a sinner, or that His terms of progression look anything like ours. It also doesn't mean we ever become equal to God.
God didn't create the universe: FALSE
Again, I believe this idea comes from an evolution of the above misunderstanding, but this is unequivocally false. The church teaches that God created the universe, and the laws therein which dictate the means by which one can receive salvation. Additionally, there is no doctrine of the church that teaches that "God worshiped another God" or anything comparable to this, and it is not something I personally believe.
We can become like God: TRUE
The entire principle behind eternal progression is to become like God; to inherit all the He has. To reiterate, this does not mean that we ever supersede or become equal to God, or that we ever stop worshiping Him. In much the same way that we are spirits and posses a physical body, likewise the church teaches that God is also a spirit and possesses a physical body, and we are created in His image.
We receive a planet as a reward for salvation: FALSE
I've heard this before and I don't understand the origin of it - I suspect it is a deviation of the teaching that we can become like God and thereby populate worlds. However, the specifics of what that looks like, or the terms with which it is engaged is not taught by the church. Personally, I think if becoming like God includes the power to create universes, why would I be concerned with inheriting a planet here? Women are not ostracized of the same blessings as men.
Preexistence (Spirit Realm) / Satan rebellion against God: TRUE
While I'm not a huge fan of the flippant way in which this information is delivered, this is basically accurate.
    Curse of Cain: MOSTLY FALSE
While it is true that God has occasionally marked people as a means to distinguish them from his people, the first issue I have here is that implication that those descendants who are "not white" are cursed as a teaching of the church, which is not accurate. The method of marking has varied, but has at times included skin color, which is passed on genetically. This should NOT be attributed to mean that those of any race are any less children of God, less valuable, or less worthy of salvation, as stated in 2nd Nephi 26:33, "... and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female..."
Cain committed the first murder and was rebuked for it. The church does not teach that he conspired with Satan when he rebelled against God (or else he would have been cast out with those who followed Satan). The idea that those born with dark skin were followers of Satan and/or aided in the Satan's rebellion against God is blatantly false. The church teaches that those who followed Satan were indeed sent to earth, but they are bodiless spirits - they were NOT born with bodies like you and I.
Polygamy was an eternal doctrine one must practice to get into heaven: FALSE
While it is true that the church practiced polygamy (as has also been practiced in the history of Christianity), the idea that one must practice it as a means to get to heaven is false, and sounds more like an FLDS teaching. When it was practiced in the church, it was a calling, and certainly not something one could aspire to, or choose to practice because they felt like it. There is no doctrine of salvation specifically surrounding polygamy. While I believe that Christ was likely married (Jewish tradition at the time also seems to support that), I don't know of any church doctrine that claims He was a polygamist, and that's not something I personally believe.
Various sects / turmoil within "Mormonism": MISLEADING
It is true that there are a number of offshoots of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I don't know exactly how many, but most all of them are very insignificant. I'm familiar with the FLDS, but their current teachings have little resemblance to that of the church. "Mormons" you see today are almost exclusively members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
    Three different heavens: TRUE
Not much to say about this - the description given is basically accurate.
    No Caffeine: FALSE
The "Word of Wisdom" is the law being referenced here, which dictates certain substances from which members should abstain. This includes substances such as alcohol, tobacco, green tea and coffee. Many have speculated that the reason green tea and coffee are included is because of their caffeine content. While I won't argue that caffeine isn't particularly healthy, there's no doctrine of the church that specifically prohibits caffeine, and many members do drink soft drinks such as Coke.
As an addendum, with regards to the missionary story and the coffee maker, I don't know any member of the church that would support breaking into someone's home and removing a coffee maker (or any property, for that matter), nor is that anything that would ever be condoned by the church.
Baptism for the Dead: MOSTLY TRUE
A few points of clarification: Baptisms for the dead are conducted by proxy (we don't actually baptize dead bodies). As many have come and died without having had the opportunity to accept baptism, the purpose is to give them that opportunity. This does not mean, nor does the church teach, that these people have accepted the church or its teachings.
John the Apostle living today: TRUE
This actually comes from the Bible, NKJV - John 21: 20-23. I wouldn't say that this is a critical point of doctrine within the church. John's whereabouts are unknown.

I grew up Mormon. I went to church every week growing up, as well as seminary class in my teens, and some institute classes during college.
Mormons call the Trinity the Godhead to emphasize that it's made up of three separate beings. I don't think that's strange at all. Actually, I think it's really weird that some religions think they're the same person. They're only one in PURPOSE. How could Christ pray to God when he was on earth if they were the same person? "Father, remove this bitter cup from me..."
I never heard of millions of Gods currently existing, only that we can become gods ourselves, which is a potential for millions or more gods in the future, which is part of God's plan. I see nothing strange about this.
I was only told that God became perfect and that's why he understands my trials, nothing about him worshipping other Gods. Actually, I always thought that I as a god, might inhabit my own universe, not just a planet. I don't think that's weird either since I'm a son of God and am born to have his potential.
I was never told anything about dark skin and blacks. Never heard it.
I've never been taught that I'll be REQUIRED to have multiple wives.
If he wants to highlight schisms as an example to doubt a church's validity, he should use Catholicism and Protestantism as an example instead of Mormonism and breakaway cults.
Celestial, Terrestrial and Telestial are different kingdoms in heaven, not separate heavens themselves. Those rewards are assigned according to our works in this life. This is not strange.
Strong drink is forbidden in the LDS church as the result of a revelation to the prophet. I have no problem with a prophet receiving revelation as in days of old, because.... they're prophets.
Mormons perform baptisms for the dead to give them the opportunity to accept or reject it on the either side. It's not a done deal, just an opportunity for them.
I've never heard anything about about John walking the earth.
By the way, I think it's really weird and blasphemous that Catholics pray to Mary as well as create idols of her.

We are only asking for Mother Mary's intercession. That why we say "Pray for us" to her and "Have mercy on us" to Jesus.😊 The statues are only a reminder of our Mother, the mother of Jesus, because we are humans, we depend on our senses, and it is with these statues that we are reminded of the saints in heaven.
Why don't you call out the government for the statues of national heroes? The images of a person in your coins and bills? Why don't you call out artists for making portraits of people? Why don't you burn or hide the pictures in your wall?
Idols. You mean like those countless gods of Hindus? Worshipping the statues of gods of many titles. Offering them their clothes, foods, possessions?
Mother Mary loves you. Jesus loves you. All praise and glory be to God.🙏

Latter-day Saint here. I can't cover all the points, but here is one: Actually, I think the reason we don't talk about some of those things is because we don't understand them fully ourselves. The important thing is the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that is what we want to convert people to. The deeper things, you can ponder later. I'll give you one example from the Bible: Revelation 3:21 "To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne." What does this mean? It sounds like we will all gain the same throne as Jesus Christ, through his atonement. Why don't Christians teach that one to new converts? It is probably because they barely understand it themselves. Yes, we do have scriptures about becoming like God (exaltation). But there is no detail about what this means, other than that it involves "the continuation of the seeds forever and ever" (having spirit children in the same way that God does, with references to the Abrahamic Covenant and God's promise to Abraham that his seed would be as numerous as the sands of the seashore. We get the same promise in the temple) and "overcoming all things" and general words like "thrones, principalities, powers, dominions" etc. I've never heard once in Church (or the temple) that there are "millions of Gods." This is an extrapolation of some of our scriptures, so it could be true in an obscure sense (although in any case there is only one God relevant to us and our universe). So it becomes a bit of a game of semantics.Respect for Catholics though! Keep up the faith.

i know something about mormonism, i was raised mormon. and i'm here to say mormonism is a cult.
your "testimony" of the book of mormon is a lie. you're lying to all non mormons, and you may very well be lying to yourself. lies come as natural as a babies smile to mormons.
the big lie you're trying to advance is that mormons believe in the book of mormon and that tmormonism advances biblical christianity.
let's put truth to the lie. what you really believe is that there is more than one god and you can become a god too.
does the book of mormon teach polytheism? no. name one verse in the whole b/m that teaches polytheism.
so, putting truth to the lie, what is the big advantage you seek with the b/m. it's very simple. once you get people out of the bible, they're susceptible to any blasphemy the mormon church wants to present.
when exactly do you think the general populous will be ready for the "meat"?
i may be of assistance on that matter right here and now.
      embarrassing mormoisms:
adam is our god the only god we have to do with
god and mary had sex and that's how jesus came to be
the blood of righteous jesus does not cover all sins. there are sins a man must atone for with his own blood
there's no heaven and no hell. no hell, no need for a saviour to save from hell. there's 3 degrees of glory. you save yourself in a degree of glory according to your works.
if you keep all the commandments you become a god in the highest degree of glory.
polygamy is absolutely necessary to be a god.

It does say that we cannot be friends or hang out or eat together unless we are witnessing to you. My discussions with Catholics usually end with me quoting verses to prove my point and them quoting the interpretation(s) of the church which never have anything to do with the very simple topics at hand. It's like we both say we follow the teachings in the bible, but we are speaking a different language. These are English-speaking people with an Bible written in the English language.

If he can do this then he can appear to anyone else in different parts of the world. I really think it is nieve to think that Jesus would not make himself known to all of the people. I've been a Mormon in Ireland for 40years, served a mission and open minded. I've looked into the arguments and always look for rebuttal to every accusation.
    This seems sensible to me.
Videos by professor Dan Peterson,Fair Mormon or Jeff Lindsay are good starting points.
The Church of Jesus Christ.org is another excellent resource.
(Our dear missionaries are not that informed I assure you.)
The person making this video has decided on Catholicism and that's great.
But he ain't the source of Mormon doctrine ( Why would he be?)
    As a side note.
You won't find an anti Catholic video from Mormonism.
This just decides Christianity and in a world where we are increasingly losing influence we actually need each other.
There are far more non Christian people on earth than Christian.
The message of Christ does not come across in this video.

There is no anti-mormon sources. The church makes you think there are anti-morment site like people that want to burn down the churches and stuff like that and that's absolutely not true. All these people are doing are reporting on what your church has taught in its history and the history of how your church became an existence. But the men in Utah don't want you to know the truth in the dirty little secrets. You say you've been in the church for 40 years haven't you seen the changes that have happened in your church. Hasn't that ever made you wonder. Even the temple ordinances have changed which are supposed to be eternal.

“I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you."
"Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day."
"For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink."
"Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him."
"I am the true bread that came down from heaven."
"Anyone who eats this bread will not die as your ancestors did but will live forever.”
      (John 6 : 53-58 NLT)
Notice that Jesus repeats this over and over, and also in other places in the Gospel, but non-Catholics deny it is necessary for eternal life. I don't know how much clearer it could be. Jesus lost thousands of followers when he originally said this, but he never retracted it and said it was just symbolic in order to bring people back to his ministry.
This is but only one example of how evangelicals make up their own theology then change the meanings in the Bible to suit their own doctrines which they invented. I could give you a dozen examples, but that would take too long.

(1 Cor. 11 : 26-29) "For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. That would be polygamy. And yes Mormons do believe that you get to have your own planet and you get to be a God over that planet because I was taught that all through my upbringing and I was in mainstream Mormonism. Also they believe that God is not actually God God but the god that rules over this planet and he was once a man. Also Brigham Young taught the Adam God Theory to where he said through revelation that God came down and was Adam from Adam and Eve. And that was taught throughout the church 50 years after Brigham Young died so if the men of the church were receiving Revelation from God why would God let that slip for 50 years. And in your book of Mormon it talks about the light skin in the dark skin and how God cursed dark-skinned people in the book of Mormon and he lifted the curse later on and they became "White and delightful". So for you to say that the church isn't racist is a flat-out lie yourself personally may not be racist but the church is sitting on top of racist doctrine and has never taken accountability for it. And in fact because of the racism in the church and there was a priest hold band on black men up until 1978 and they only changed that and they claimed it was a revelation but they only changed it after they were getting pushed back from the outside world because of the civil Rights movement.
