Jinjer "Perennial" Live at Wacken 2019 - amazing!! Experience Tati's full vocal range live. Then "Teacher, teacher" official live (hip hop'ish). "Judgement and punishment" Tatianna one take. Jinjer "Vortex" is new and awesome. I hope you and Crys continue with Jinjer, not a year in between
Perennial, especially their live at wacken 2019 performance is one of my top picks of showing off her ability to switch back and forth between her clean vocals and the death metal growls.. (this band is a nice change of pace for me as I listen to the even more hardcore death metal and blackened death metal where the vocals are 100% growls... )

I definitely recommend checking more of their songs out (Vortex and Teacher Teacher are a good place to start). And if you ever wanna check out another band like this I highly recommend Spiritbox (I'd recommend Circle With Me, Hurt You, or Rule of Nines).
Saying that Spirtbox is "like" Jinjer is an insult. No member of Spiritbox even comes close to the talent of Jinjer.

Currently Tatiana is safe as a refugee in the US but the rest of the band members are in Ukraine organizing aid for its people or preparing to defend the country. 🌻💙💛

The look on your girls face was priceless. Lot of reactors have gone done the Jinjer rabbit hole, and I recommend you should too. I’ve become a fan after listening to reactors to this song about 2 months ago. They have songs even better than this, and the lead singer is so versatile. Tatiana even sings some reggae in a song.

It is almost unfortunate that some people dont know just how much Tatiana is done for the metal genre and especially for women artists in metal. Not trying to discredit women by any means in that statement because there have been some powerhouses in the past. Angela Gassow I think set a tone for women back in the late 90s early 2000s with Arch Emeny when she was the lead singer (now retired). Imo she has been the bar for women. Then Tatiana came along and shattered all glass ceilings and has started a new type of vocalist for women in the genre. Tatiana has commanded respect in the metal community, which she has received. That is not easy. Tatiana is a new breed, the future. I am seeing it already. Not only is Tatiana shattering the "perception of women in metal" but what she can do with her voice that most women cannot do or goes against everything people believe a woman is capable of when it comes to singing and especially the screaming and the low gutturals. Tatiana, as well as Eugene, Roman and Vlad I cant leave them out either, are all next level talented and they are something truly special. Tatiana has changed the genre for the better. I have always considered Angela Gassow the Queen of Metal... Tatiana is the God(dess) of Metal. Like I was trying to say in the beginning it may be hard to know how truly different Tatiana is when you haven't heard many or any other female vocalists that scream in the genre. What has come before is nothing like this, Tatiana is a new vocalist and is continuing to set the bar. Anyways this was long lol. Check out Perennial Live at Wacken.... Teacher, Teacher.... It's a vocal style common in more extreme metal genres. If you do it right it won't hurt your vocal cords and you can switch between different styles of singing/screaming/growling. She's been practicing for a long time, she can do it with the best of 'em. \,,/

Jinjer cancelled a US tour to go back to Ukraine and help the cause. Tatiana was allowed leave and join her husband in California. The other band members are still there the last I heard.

Her soft voice is coming from he actual vocal cords. The growl she is doing is coming from folds in her skin above her vocal cords, they are also called false vocal cords. Apparently we can all use both, but the false vocals take training to do what she is doing.
Tati had very little to no formal vocal training and she doesn't do any warm ups before going up on stage. The fact you can't tell any damage is being done to her voice is insane.. it's evident when she switches back n forth, especially in the tracks "Teacher, Teacher" and "Perennial" (live at wacken 2019)..... and she can get pretty low in her growls too... "Who's Gonna Be the One?" live really shows that off too.

Arguably the greatest front person in the business atm. Her range is unmatched, and her personality on stage is incredible. Any time you post a Jinjer reaction, I will be reviewing it shortly after. You could do no harm by going down the Jinjer rabbit hole. Some of it you may not connect with, but I suspect at least 3 of their songs will connect with you, as the band is more than the amazing front person, and each member is a talented musician in their own right, mastering their craft. I build shows for a living, and this band is one of just a selective few I will pass on the work and instead pay for a ticket to see live.

She reminds me of Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth. Sadly for me, as I am a huge fan of growling vocals.... he has ceased doing them....he was pretty awesome in the death metal supergroup Bloodbath. (Eaten is my fave track by them)

The switch back and forth is surprising, not easy to do by any means and Tatiana and Courtney (of Spiritbox) are two women who have mastered it. But it is worth saying that some male vocalists also switch from harsh to melodic vocals within songs (Devin Townsend can for example). The primary surprise here is that a woman can "do" the harch growls, much less switch back and forth, and recently (Tatiana, Courtney, Alissa, Melissa, and many others) have demonstrated that superb degree of vocal flexibility. More power to them, because several of my absolute favourite bands (Spiritbox, Arch-Enemy, Jinjer, Aephanemer, Dark Side of the Moon...) feature female harsh vocals, I wants more.

@@marcobraak9835 I kinda knew she did cleans with her previous band... but I never thought Arch Enemy would include them...although I did see an article recently (to be clear the article was dated around 2016).... that said they would add cleans when they felt the time was right... what are your thoughts on it? I mainly listen to death metal where it's 100% growls....but I do like Jinjer for that change of pace..
