This is SOMEWHAT a studio version - they more or less were redoing this song to showcase their new (at the time) drummer, so this does have some of the studio magic there but this band is 100% set to kill when it comes to truly live shows. This is the "break-in" song for them and is one of their more pop-centric ones.
Exactly this - it was intended to show off the drummer, so they polished the sound a bit and included that mix belt she says she’ll skip in concert. But 50 plus million views people don’t give a f**k about the drummer and just forensically examine her singing style. EDIT: if you need “evidence” of her vocal capabilities there are concert clips, and she does sing/scream all of it, but yes there is polish - normal music production, no trickery - here
the best part about this particular song is that this is NOTHING compared to the technicality and the brilliance of the band and Tatiana (the vocalist) They have so many good songs and she can even do this in a real live performance on a stage and most times they’re even better than the studio versions! They’re one of the best live bands I’ve seen in years I highly recommend Perennial at Wacken for a live performance☺️ BUT if you want to hear real heavy Jinjer, I say check out Sit, Stay, Roll Over! and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed
I'm personally a bit partial to teacher teacher and Judgement (& Punishment). the latter of which is just so much fun with the whole reggae thing it's got going on.
I think Eric's initial reaction (first pause) is the first time I've seen someone sense the power in her voice even in the "soft" part - then comes the moment of truth! hehe
They are from Ukraine and the guys just got cleared to leave and get back to playing shows as ambassadors against the war. Their song Home Back was written after Russia initial invasion of Donetsk Ukraine back in 2014. It's an absolute power house of a song. It's ridiculous what the guys do with the music and you get a taste of Tatiana's lowest growls.

Ohhh finally diving into Jinjer. They are AMAZING live. I saw them at HOB in Cleveland last November and they sound just as good as you would expect. The usual rabbit hole videos are: Perennial live at Wacken, Who is Going to be the One live, Teacher, Teacher official video, Judgement and Punishment one take. Others I’d definitely recommend are Home Back official video and Vortex official video and I Speak Astronomy. For something softer Wallflower or Bad Water. Enjoy the journey!!

Hated so much I had to sub. ;) Such a great band on all counts. Perennial is similar intensity but on stage. Judgement and Punishment one take and Teacher Teacher official show her doing some other vocal styles. Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev (Kyiv) and Who Is Gonna Be The One official live she takes her growls lower. Home Back is a powerful anti-war song about their hometown in eastern Ukraine getting caught in the 2014 war. On The Top live in Kiev is an incredibly well rounded song with lots of belting and a strong hook. Too many more to list. If you want to deep dive Arte Concert has the full set of their recent Hellfest performance with great video and audio quality.

Great reaction guys! I won't come back on how this band is f*****k great. I will just advise 2 songs: Pit of consciousness live in Kiev (absolute banger!) and Home Back live at Hellfest 2022. This last one just happend few days ago and it was very emotionnal: Jinjer is from the Ukraine and this song is about war, not the one that is on going but the 2014's one, during which the band members have to run away from their homes in the East of Ukraine and found themselves homeless and refugees in their own country. And after these 2, pick up whatever song you want, you will always find something new and mind blowing. Slava Ukraini 💛💙

Every single song from them is an absolute banger. I am 60 yrs old and was a young teen when heavy metal was born back in the 70's, and Jinjer has become my all time favorite band. They are simply flawless imo. Cloud Factory omv is one of my favorite early Jinjer tunes. They had a second guitarist who was a founding member, and, it was a different drummer than the one they have now. Fun fact: Not one current member of Jinjer is a founding member. Tatiana is the senior member but not from the original lineup.

I’m amazed you’ve never heard of Jinjer before. This was from 2016, they are a pretty big band now. Glad you eventually found them, they are phenomenal if you like technical music. There earlier stuff, which I suppose this actually is as it was off their 2nd full length album and they have 2 more after this + an EP and live album and there is a very early EP that’s worth a listen. A very talented band (a few line up changes over the years but always had something special that’s being recognised now)🤘🤘🤘🤘

Though I want to give credit to the musicians for pulling off a very intricate sound, it is almost repetitive but not in a bad way and if I were to visualize it it's almost as if the notes are circling each other... makes me think of two fish chasing each other in a tight circle... Which is so cool cause that very much fits in with the Pisces theme here.
In case no one else said this in the other 348 comments.. the band is from Ukraine.. Tati writes first in Russian and then translates to English. One of the most comfortable interviews I've seen with her is at the Charismatic voice channel.. Elizabeth is all about how sounds happen in the throat.. it's a cool interview.. tea time with Tati. I wanted to hear her speaking voice so that's where I ended up.

The western side of Ukraine already spoke Russian as their first language.. since it was part of Russia for a good while. Parts of Ukraine used to be Poland too.
Not saying she's got mutant superpowers, but she was born only 11 months after, and less than 500 miles from a certain "accident" at Chernobyl...🤔 P.S. So was the bassist. In fact, they were born in the same area (Donetsk, Ukraine), and he's only 9 days older (Eugene 6 March 1987, Tatiana 15 March 1987). No idea if they knew each other before Jinjer, but if not, that's a fvcking small world right there.😮 Hope it's still there...😔🇺🇦✊

Hated so much I had to sub. ;) Such a great band on all counts. Perennial is similar intensity but on stage. Judgement and Punishment one take and Teacher Teacher official show her doing some other vocal styles. Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev (Kyiv) and Who Is Gonna Be The One official live she takes her growls lower. Home Back is a powerful anti-war song about their hometown in eastern Ukraine getting caught in the 2014 war. On The Top live in Kiev is an incredibly well rounded song with lots of belting and a strong hook. Too many more to list.

Great reaction guys! I won't come back on how this band is f*****k great. I will just advise 2 songs: Pit of consciousness live in Kiev (absolute banger!) and Home Back live at Hellfest 2022. This last one just happend few days ago and it was very emotionnal: Jinjer is from the Ukraine and this song is about war, not the one that is on going but the 2014's one, during which the band members have to run away from their homes in the East of Ukraine and found themselves homeless and refugees in their own country. And after these 2, pick up whatever song you want, you will always find something new and mind blowing.

I am 60 yrs old and was a young teen when heavy metal was born back in the 70's, and Jinjer has become my all time favorite band. They are simply flawless imo.
Cloud Factory omv is one of my favorite early Jinjer tunes. They had a second guitarist who was a founding member, and, it was a different drummer than the one they have now.
Fun fact: Not one current member of Jinjer is a founding member. Tatiana is the senior member but not from the original lineup.

I’m amazed you’ve never heard of Jinjer before. This was from 2016, they are a pretty big band now. Glad you eventually found them, they are phenomenal if you like technical music. There earlier stuff, which I suppose this actually is as it was off their 2nd full length album and they have 2 more after this + an EP and live album and there is a very early EP that’s worth a listen. A very talented band (a few line up changes over the years but always had something special that’s being recognised now)🤘🤘🤘🤘
Her voice is AMAZING and your reactions were delightful. Though I want to give credit to the musicians for pulling off a very intricate sound, it is almost repetitive but not in a bad way and if I were to visualize it it's almost as if the notes are circling each other... makes me think of two fish chasing each other in a tight circle... Which is so cool cause that very much fits in with the Pisces theme here.

In case no one else said this in the other 348 comments.. the band is from Ukraine.. Tati writes first in Russian and then translates to English. One of the most comfortable interviews I've seen with her is at the Charismatic voice channel.. Elizabeth is all about how sounds happen in the throat.. it's a cool interview.. tea time with Tati. I wanted to hear her speaking voice so that's where I ended up.

@@vangarus Well, in 1922, the Ukrainian Bolsheviks established one of the founding republics of the soviet union, the Ukrainian soviet socialist republic.. which though wrestled about for most of the century, was until 1991, part of the USSR. The western side of Ukraine already spoke Russian as their first language.. since it was part of Russia for a good while.
Parts of Ukraine used to be Poland too.
