Justin G said "If you want a good official music video do Teacher Teacher. If you want good heavy live do Whos Gonna Be The One or if you want something a bit softer do Perennial at Wacken." I said after (yesterday) Don't have much time at the moment, on break... but had to check this out since I seen you reacted to Pisces.... I second all 3 of those. Teacher Teacher is an amazing song showing her versatility in styles from growl to amazing melodic almost operatic singing. "Who's Gonna Be The One" is one of their top 5 heaviest, but in it you see how low the growls are that she can go, puts a lot of the guys who sing this way to shame. You also get a nice surprise at the end of it as well. "Perennial Live from the Wacken" is one of my favorites. A bit more like this one, more singing and less growling, and when she hits those notes.... chills. You will know if/when you check that one out. About type of rock... So many different types, hard to pinpoint (Nu metal, progressive metal, extreme metal, reggae, maybe a little jazz mixed in there as well)... One of her idols growing up was Amy Winehouse)... I think they are their own type of rock. LOL. Bit more time now, and wanted to add... Thank you for reacting to this. I knew the growling isn't your cup of tea, it isn't even mine before finding out about Jinjer. But this young lady has something unique about her and it is hard to pinpoint exactly what it is. It's also interesting that even if you aren't used to these sort of vocals, you can still understand most of what she is saying. She has more range in growling than most, as most use one tone or aren't able to change from low to high and everything in between like this lass. If it helps, should pull up lyrics in case you come to something that isn't easy to make out. Believe it or not, english isn't even their 1st language. Keep doing what you are doing mate, you do an amazing job and always love watching your videos. You have a love for music that is refreshing to see. If you are interested in something almost as heavy musically, but clean vocals I think you may appreciate NIGHTWISH: Ghost Love Score LIVE They are classed as symphonic metal and they put on a show like none other. 2 others if you were to like Ghost Love Score.... "Poet and the Pendulum" and "The Greatest Show On Earth". I sure hope you enjoyed yourself with this reaction. I know I loved it. Would love to see you react to more so you can see that it truly is her and how ridiculous and amazing her voice is. Thank you Thank you Thank you for everything you do. You never fail to put a smile on my face Psst... Sorry about the short novel. LOL

I just randomly came across this channel to get my daily blank reacts to Jinjer pick-me-up before I start work at 0030. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for selfless work, the long hours.. long days and weeks really, thank you for the time it takes you to decontaminate before you get home to family or before you relax what little free time you have, taking on what has stopped the world in stride while the world hoards masks and toilet paper, don't believe it, think it's opposite wing propaganda, or you can't tell me what to do/infringe on my rights people, hoard medicine,or believe it's smaller than it is like fucking idiots... Fun watching you react to this. Perfect interpretation of the lyrics and how she's using the growls. Not surprised though! This is kinda tied with I Speak Astronomy for 2nd and 3rd lightest full-length song that isn't some kind of musical experiment at the end of an album. They have a ton of great songs, if you do Bad Water (and Beggar's Dance also has no growls but is 2 min long - great piece of music though) > I Speak Astronomy > Perennial live at Wacken (very close to the studio, but more emphasis on the beautiful cleans) those are their lightest songs in ascending order. Teacher Teacher is somewhere in the middle of their hardness spectrum.

Members of Jinjer said in some interview a while back that they have many musical influences. Jazz was only one among many of them and the soft parts of this piece were very jazz/ R&B driven. I LOVE that they cross so many lines of different genres! And they are SO GOOD! This is a totally World-Class band because each of the band members are totally World-Class musicians at what they do. I was pleasantly surprised you checked out this awesome band. The singer Tatiana is actually a fan of rap and in some songs you can hear the influence. judgement and punishment by Jinjer. pit of consciousness by Jinjer. According to their official website Jinjer is a progressive metal band with strong hardcore and groove metal origins. The diaphragm is how she does that along with the vid I sent your reaction to of rolling stone by falling in reverse.
For pure energy and badassery, check out Outlander. It's one of their older songs and Tatiana is awesome as always. I'm an old school metal guy and I really only like a handful of bands from the past 20 years. I was pretty down on the modern metal scene and then I came across Jinjer. Very talented and creative band. Tatiana is a once in a lifetime talent. Your recognition and appreciation of our healthcare workers is commendable. I'm sure you made Hero Gene's day. Good message, sir.
If you want to hear her clean voice backed by bouncy jazz-like music, try “Prologue” and “Beggar’s Dance”. They have identical lyrics, but different styles of music. There are no videos for these, although Eugene (the bassist) just released a playthrough for one of them.
There's not very many Jinjer songs that are more calm than this, there are only 5 in fact, two are instrumental, and two are alternate versions of the same song, so really there are only two: Bad Water and Beggar's Dance.
You asked what genre Jinjer falls under, well in my humble opinion it would HAVE to be the Jinjer Metal category! Tati and company are in a league all their own! :}
I don't know much about this artist, but I've watched a lot of reactions to this song. A lot of people can not believe it's her. I've read that she is highly trained to get her screams just right. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of screaming, but she sounds amazing. And of course I love Ronnie too!
Anyone who doubts her voice in this video should go watch some live performance videos. I'm not a huge fan of screaming I can't make out the words in but I do like the vibe of alot of their songs.
Jinjer is so sick, sometimes I can just laugh watching their videos.... Tatia is such a insanely good and divers singer and the whole band is awesome :). Let's see what you had to say about them ;)
I love this song! The lyrics can be interpreted in many different ways and some parts I haven't really figured out the meaning, but I believe this song could be about her losing her innocence ("Scale armour belies// virgin innocence"). She is the fish ("neptune's child", "scale armor", "wave my fin", "shake my tail", etc). Tatiana is a pisces herself and you see the symbolism of the Pisces zodiac in the lyrics ("One being brings life //Another runs for death"). She's looking for happiness and love ("Searching for a hook to catch on //And see their sun beam"), despite the fact that it never really turns out well for the fish. In the end, she suffers ("Then suffocate in painful tortures //On cutting tables of callous men") and is stripped of her innocence/scale armor, here represented as "emeralds"/fish scales ("emeralds are ripped away"). If you have a different interpretation, please share! :) I could be completely wrong lol
Jinjer is progressive metal, which is rather broad of a category. Earlier in their career, they were more metalcore and groove metal when they had two guitarists and played in drop C. After one guitarist quit, they changed to an even lower tuning of drop A (like this song) and went a bit heavier, added a bit of djent at times, and went off the deep end with timing changes.
A bunch of people are suggesting checking out “Who’s Going to Be the One” or “Perennial” (live at Wacken), and I can’t disagree-those would be fantastic next tracks to check out. And just as a preemptive heads-up: If you might like to pronounce “Wacken” like the locals, one would say “Vah-ken.” (In German, “W” is pronounced like a “V” is in English.) I’m only mentioning that part just since most folks seem to stumble over that one a bit.
Woohoooo! I love Jinjer for one of the same reasons I love TOP.. They can do anything and cover many different genres! Check out a couple of their reggae influenced tracks - "Judgement and Punishment" and "Who Is Gonna Be the One." 🖤
To me, "outlander" is one of the best tracks they have, plus tatia looks like a freaking goddess on stage😍😂 ecpically on that song... My 18 year old self yould have had a heart attack haha
@@traktician nice😁may I ask if you have listened to the new ra the rugged man album already? If not, maybe "the introduction" and "legendary loser" would be a good start.... If you never heard of him.... Man, get ready for a legend 😎✌️
Welcome to the Jinjer Army. They claim not to have a genre. Do "Teacher Teacher" and "Scissors" and maybe some live performances (which is where she shines) like "Who is gonna be the one." They don't have a bad song.
What genre. The million dollar question. Jinjer defies categorization. The more of their catalog you sample, the more this will become apparent. Who mixes reggae and metal?!
Ha! This is the entry level Jinjer. Well, unless you go with Prologue, the opening track off of King Of Everything, or Beggars Dance, which is the last track off of the same album. I’m pretty sure they’re the same songs, just two different mild styles.
If you want a good official music video do Teacher Teacher. If you want good heavy live do Whos Gonna Be The One or if you want something a bit softer do Perennial at Wacken.

If you have to put a label on Jinjer, the most common one is metalcore. It is a combination of death metal, progressive metal, hardcore punk, with some nu metal thrown in. You will find some reggae and hip hop mixed in as some of the influences.
@@traktician I'm a fairly new fan of the band myself, and all I can say is expect the unexpected. This is an incredibly talented band with no bad songs in their catalog.
You're very intelligent bro, picked up on the themes of the music in real time. I subbed on just the fame and happiness bit. This is Ukraine Metal basically. Another band similar in region and style is Infected Rain from Moldova. If you dabble in Infected Rain, try Lullaby.
if you want something with more of her clean vocals you should go with Bad Water but you cant really go far wrong every song in their catalogue is different and awesome
I've never realize you haven't heard Jinjer. Great reaction, they're a real good band, categorized usually as Progressive Metal or Groove Metal. Glad you did this 🤘🏽 #CREEKSQUAD #FABLESQUAD
They botched the exorcism when Tatiana was 12. Since then her family has pushed her into becoming a heavy metal singer so she can live a somewhat normal life without actually hurting anyone.
Has anything been put upon her microphone & she just has to place hand over a button that adds that gravel to her voice? When she wants her natural voice just move her hand & that will releases the button that causes the change to her voice?
Dunno about the genre, hard to say. I mean if i would compare, the music has something of both Meshuggah and Opeth in it. If id make it easy i'd just say progressive death metal. Whatever label you put on it its awesome!
I get you're not so into it, but if you ever go deeper this way I recommend their song Pit of Consciousness. It closely coincides with your thoughts about fame and happiness.
While Jinjer is listed as a metalcore band they prefer to be viewed as progressive extreme metal. other bands I would recommend Once Human Gravity official video or sledgehammer official video Spiritbox rule of Nines official video or Beauty of suffering Infected Rain Orphan soul official video or Freaky carnival Arch Enemy Savage Messiah or leader of the rats In this moment the in between or sick like me

Great reaction. Good insights. Peace.
☺️🙏 thanks very much.. really appreciate it 🙏❤️
Hypnotic a deep soul nice speaker I mean you
☺️☺️☺️❤️❤️❤️
Haven't seen it mentioned but their song "Bad Water" would probably be to closest to your request at the end of the video.
Anyone who doubts her voice in this video should go watch some live performance videos. I'm not a huge fan of screaming I can't make out the words in but I do like the vibe of alot of their songs.
💯💯💯💯💯💯 agree
Sure your reaction brightened her day.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jinjer is so sick, sometimes I can just laugh watching their videos.... Tatia is such a insanely good and divers singer and the whole band is awesome :). Let's see what you had to say about them ;)
Great reaction! Low pace? Maybe Perennial live at Wacken. You gotta do them live. Who´s gonna be the one live is also great.
Thankyou Gene!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Always love seeing people's reaction when she first starts screaming 😂 btw still waiting on My Demons by Starset :)
😂😂😂😂 I was shocked .. I’ll get there soon soon I promise ☺️❤️
I love this song!
The lyrics can be interpreted in many different ways and some parts I haven't really figured out the meaning, but I believe this song could be about her losing her innocence ("Scale armour belies//
virgin innocence").
She is the fish ("neptune's child", "scale armor", "wave my fin", "shake my tail", etc).
Tatiana is a pisces herself and you see the symbolism of the Pisces zodiac in the lyrics ("One being brings life
//Another runs for death").
She's looking for happiness and love ("Searching for a hook to catch on
//And see their sun beam"), despite the fact that it never really turns out well for the fish.
In the end, she suffers ("Then suffocate in painful tortures
//On cutting tables of callous men") and is stripped of her innocence/scale armor, here represented as "emeralds"/fish scales ("emeralds are ripped away").
If you have a different interpretation, please share! :) I could be completely wrong lol
ha-ha! he said low pace , low key and Jinjer in the same sentence............:D
😂😂😂 judging by a few others comments like this I feel this statement was a mistake 😂😂
@@traktician not entirely.........they did do "bad water", it's their most "normal" or "regular" song............
If you want to hear something "lighter" by them, check out Beggars Dance. All clean vocals and a very gypsy jazz sound. It's a very good track!
Thanks so much for this.. added to the list ☺️❤️
Welcome to Jinjer.
❤️❤️🙏🙏
Jinjer is progressive metal, which is rather broad of a category. Earlier in their career, they were more metalcore and groove metal when they had two guitarists and played in drop C. After one guitarist quit, they changed to an even lower tuning of drop A (like this song) and went a bit heavier, added a bit of djent at times, and went off the deep end with timing changes.
Wow.. I didn’t know that. Thanks for this ☺️
A bunch of people are suggesting checking out “Who’s Going to Be the One” or “Perennial” (live at Wacken), and I can’t disagree-those would be fantastic next tracks to check out.
And just as a preemptive heads-up: If you might like to pronounce “Wacken” like the locals, one would say “Vah-ken.” (In German, “W” is pronounced like a “V” is in English.) I’m only mentioning that part just since most folks seem to stumble over that one a bit.
Thanks so much for this ☺️☺️
Fable - Nuclear Reactor Anytime-you got this!
Hi to you in this rabbit hole too.
Check out Perennial live at wacken or scissors from Jinjer
That’s still coming this week ☺️❤️🙏
Woohoooo! I love Jinjer for one of the same reasons I love TOP.. They can do anything and cover many different genres! Check out a couple of their reggae influenced tracks - "Judgement and Punishment" and "Who Is Gonna Be the One." 🖤
Added to the list ☺️❤️❤️❤️ will get them
Jinjer's "Bad Water" is what you're looking for as far as clean vocals
Thanks so much ... I will do that one very soon☺️❤️🙏
Perrenial live at Wacken is a must bro
Added to the list ❤️☺️
Outstanding analysis. Kudos . New Nightwish album out.
Thanks so much.. really appreciate that ☺️❤️ already on the list ☺️☺️
To me, "outlander" is one of the best tracks they have, plus tatia looks like a freaking goddess on stage😍😂 ecpically on that song... My 18 year old self yould have had a heart attack haha
I have added that to my list .. I will react to it ☺️❤️
@@traktician nice😁may I ask if you have listened to the new ra the rugged man album already? If not, maybe "the introduction" and "legendary loser" would be a good start.... If you never heard of him.... Man, get ready for a legend 😎✌️
Welcome to the Jinjer Army. They claim not to have a genre. Do "Teacher Teacher" and "Scissors" and maybe some live performances (which is where she shines) like "Who is gonna be the one." They don't have a bad song.
Both on the list and coming this week still ☺️❤️🙏
This would be a mix of Groove Metal and Metalcore.
What genre. The million dollar question. Jinjer defies categorization. The more of their catalog you sample, the more this will become apparent. Who mixes reggae and metal?!
Like them, no one. But I bet this thread is gonna be full of Skindred comments in no time.
Thanks for this... I’m going to do a lot more so that I start getting a feel on the style and tempo ☺️☺️❤️
This is a Crossover Post Hardcore/Metacore Fusion
Ha! This is the entry level Jinjer. Well, unless you go with Prologue, the opening track off of King Of Everything, or Beggars Dance, which is the last track off of the same album. I’m pretty sure they’re the same songs, just two different mild styles.
We diving all the way in with Jinger 👀👀👀👀👀👀
I know several bands have a front man calling himself a growl god if that's so she's the growl goddess
If you want a good official music video do Teacher Teacher. If you want good heavy live do Whos Gonna Be The One or if you want something a bit softer do Perennial at Wacken.
Awesome .. done and on the list ❤️☺️
@@traktician Don't have much time at the moment, on break... but had to check this out since I seen you reacted to Pisces.... "Perennial Live from the Wacken" is one of my favorites. A bit more like this one, more singing and less growling, and when she hits those notes.... chills. You will know if/when you check that one out.
About type of rock... So many different types, hard to pinpoint (Nu metal, progressive, reggae, maybe a little jazz mixed in there as well)... One of her idols growing up was Amy Winehouse)... I think they are their own type of rock. LOL.
@@traktician also forgot to mention, you get an interesting surprise at the end when you listen to Who Is Gonna Be The One - Live
If you have to put a label on Jinjer, the most common one is metalcore. It is a combination of death metal, progressive metal, hardcore punk, with some nu metal thrown in. You will find some reggae and hip hop mixed in as some of the influences.
That’s awesome.. we going to be diving all the way in with Jinger ☺️☺️❤️
@@traktician I'm a fairly new fan of the band myself, and all I can say is expect the unexpected. This is an incredibly talented band with no bad songs in their catalog.
Check out 'Bad Water' for just clean vocals
Will do, thanks for this ☺️❤️
I was so waiting your reaction when she starts to sing guttural !
Haha you found Jinjer one of my fav progressive metal bands, Tatiana can sing with the best of them and growl just as well
☺️☺️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You're very intelligent bro, picked up on the themes of the music in real time. I subbed on just the fame and happiness bit. This is Ukraine Metal basically. Another band similar in region and style is Infected Rain from Moldova. If you dabble in Infected Rain, try Lullaby.
☺️☺️❤️❤️❤️🙏
if you want something with more of her clean vocals you should go with Bad Water but you cant really go far wrong every song in their catalogue is different and awesome
That’s awesome!! ☺️☺️ we going to dig way deeper
THE BAND IS FROM UKRAINE !!! GLORY to UKRAINE !!!
tatiana and eugene described their music as "progressive music" they say they arent metal, because they are very experimental
I believe so .. we digging deep into Jinger ☺️☺️
Are you by any chance Portuguese-descendant? : )
Yes I am... mother and father are from PT .. born and bread even my brother actually ... I was the only one born in SA 😂😂
Awesome reaction. Please do Teacher Teacher next. Also random question.... are you South African?
Thanks so much.. will absolutely do that next ☺️❤️🙏 actually it was already next in line 😂 and yes I am.. I’m from JOZI!! 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
@@traktician sweet... me too. Well PTA :)
Please do Ne Obliviscaris - And Plague Flowers the Kaleisdoscope next, you won't regret it
Absolutely will do ☺️☺️
I've never realize you haven't heard Jinjer. Great reaction, they're a real good band, categorized usually as Progressive Metal or Groove Metal. Glad you did this 🤘🏽
#CREEKSQUAD #FABLESQUAD
Thanks so much for this ☺️☺️❤️ I will dig deeper !! 👀👀
Just passing through for the Jinjer - Pisces reaction.
❤️❤️❤️
I put Jinjer and Slipknot in the same group but you need to review Teacher teacher and I speak astronomy from Jinjer as well.
Thanks man.. Those 2 are coming still this week. In a few hours I’m dropping Jinger - Cloud Factory
You said you are into reggae if I heard right?? If yes you NEED to check out Jinjer-Judgement and punishment!!
Nice reaction by the way!👊
Only song I know without growls is Bad Water (do the official). Also suggest Retrospection (official).
Awesome... thanks for this! Will do this one too ☺️❤️
They botched the exorcism when Tatiana was 12. Since then her family has pushed her into becoming a heavy metal singer so she can live a somewhat normal life without actually hurting anyone.
Q: What genre is this??
A: Yes
Really good.
I will 💯💯💯 go deeper.. we going to check a lot out.. ☺️☺️
While Jinjer is listed as a metalcore band they prefer to be viewed as progressive extreme metal.
other bands I would recommend
Once Human Gravity official video or sledgehammer official video
Spiritbox rule of Nines official video or Beauty of suffering
Infected Rain Orphan soul official video or Freaky carnival
Arch Enemy Savage Messiah or leader of the rats
In this moment the in between or sick like me
Thanks so much for this.. some of these I didn’t have on my list so I have now added them ☺️
Gilligan?
