When you're in the "config-if" and want to do a "show vlan brief" no need to exit all the time, just type "do show vlan brief" and that should do it.

When I type in the command encapsulation dot1Q 10 it keeps telling me invalid input detected and it points to the letter “n” would you know why it is doing that?
