a little over a year ago, this video popped up in my recommendations. i didn’t consider myself an artist, and didn’t think i was any good at drawing. but i thought “eh, why not try following this tutorial?” so i took out a piece of paper and started. it took me a couple tries, and a few hours, but i ended up with something better than i had ever drawn before. i was incredibly proud of it, and i soon started drawing eyes on everything. i eventually tried to draw some other features, and started portrait drawing. today, i could probably draw an eye that is ten times better than the one i first drew in half the time. drawing is one of my favorite things to do, and now i do consider myself an artist! and it might sound cheesy, but it is all thanks to this video. if i had never drawn that eye and been amazed by it, i probably would have never gotten into art. so to makoccino, thank you so much for introducing me to one of my favorite things to do. 💞💞

Yes! You really need to be patient and practice if you really want to draw that realistically! But not everyone wants that! That's why I was hoping that this tutorial would be more easy for everyone who just wants to learn how to draw eyes :)

PRACTICE REALLY DOES MAKE PERFECT a few days ago, I looked through my old sketch books and couldn't believe how bad I was. I missed out on a lot of details and now I itch when I notice the missing details.I love to be inspired when I realize how much I have improved. it gets annoying when people blow your head up saying how you are so good at drawing and then you look back on it and know they were just blowing it out of proportion. I will NEVER be satisfied with the way I draw.EVER. because I know I can always do better.

plss make a whole series of drawing diff parts of the face because it will look awkward if in the drawing, the eyes look so pretty and realistic while the nose is just a triangle and the mouth is just curve hahaha btw, I love this vid! Its actually easy!
I always have such a hard time making noses and hands so if you could help with that that would be amazing. All the other ideas I see online are too difficult for me to follow. But yours I could actually see what's going on.
I do a mistake with pencil. I reach for my rubber... I accidently rip my sheet. I try to find another sheet... But suddenly see my sister running away with my pencil case and sheets.. This is my life...

I can draw the first eye perfectly...then comes the nightmare....doing the other eye identical but it the opposite direction. I do it but then it's not even with the other eye so I erase the other eye to match but I still doesn't look right so I keep going back and forth drawing and erasing until the paper rips....then I slam the pencil on the table and say UGHHHH SCREW THIS STUPID PIECE OF PAPER. then throw it away and say I quit drawing... then a few hours later I try it again.
Lexy_ ThebEst do it on printer paper ( the good eye) and then do it again on the other side and then trace it on the good side and then rub out or erase the eye on the other side

Hurrayyyy!! Finally i have completed my drawing ...and guess wat ...i did perfectly..... at 1st try i did evrythng crct except the lashes 😅 nd 2try was completely successful hurrayyyyyy!!! Keep on practicing the eye lash strokes separately on a rough sheet untill u get perfect ..it hardly take juz 5mins to practice n apply on drawing ...thts wat i did.. thnk you so much !!!! 1st Attempt: Failed miserably. 2nd Attempt: Failed. 3rd Attempt: Almost looks like an eye. 4th Attempt: (gives up and draws an eye within two minutes) Finnaly looks good. *dies inside*

I can draw the first eye perfectly...then comes the nightmare....doing the other eye identical but it the opposite direction. I do it but then it's not even with the other eye so I erase the other eye to match but I still doesn't look right so I keep going back and forth drawing and erasing until the paper rips....then I slam the pencil on the table and say UGHHHH SCREW THIS STUPID PIECE OF PAPER. then throw it away and say I quit drawing... then a few hours later I try it again.

Keep on practicing the eye lash strokes separately on a rough sheet untill u get perfect ..it hardly take juz 5mins to practice n apply on drawing ...thts wat i did.. thnk you so much !!!! My dea sistaa!
