Jay, this was eight months ago! You could have launched a new crowd funded business by now and created dozens of cabinets like this and sold them for thousands of pounds each. Imagine the possibilities with diferent hardwoods combined. Heck, you could still do something like this later on, at a pace you're comfortable with and not only turn a tidy profit, but keep doing the wonderful work on this channel.
Seriously, read all of these comments and then tell me with a straight face that a product line like this wouldn't have a niche market just waiting for you to do your magic. This idea is pure gold.

@@Flippingdrawers Ah, I see that you're not convinced. I can be the same way. Smart and stupid at the same time. It's not an insult. It's often a trait of geniuses, not that I'm one but... Bear with me.
Who cares whether the video got a lot of attention? RUclips, SchmooTube! This technique has marketing potential. Even if you create one every quarter, the margins you could get for your creativity are nothing to sneeze at.
The great thing about this idea is that you can sit on it as long as you like. Sure, someone else can steal it and sell their own custom cabinets but it wouldn't be one of YOURS.
SERIOUSLY. This was your FIRST ATTEMPT and it's amazing! Imagine what more experience could produce.
By all means, don't take my word for it. Ask around on woodworking forums. This idea has great potential, even if you only sell a few a year. I'd imagine you don't want it to turn into a cheap, commercially produced nightmare. Keep it rare and unique. Features like that sell.
Also, I thought you were keeping this one for yourself. Make a new one out of walnut and oak. If your FIRST attempt was this good, I can't imagine what you could do after more experimentation.
Again, take your time. Ask David, see what he thinks. Opportunity is knocking.

Pretty gnarly, Jay. This piece belongs in the homes of unicorns and gnomes. You have become a true artist. Love all that you do.

I love this! You did such a good job! I would like to see what else you could make to go with this project.

For your first time at carving you have done an amazing job it looks absolutely stunning. And you asked what we find boring or what we would like to see more of for me I’m happy for you to just keep doing what your doing. Your content is always interesting and very watchable and your very relaxing to watch.

So basically you carved what you wanted out of the wood base you made, much like a sculptor. Very interesting!

I watch you all the time and I think you have amazing talent. This video made me say wow. This is extremely creative. It almost looks like stone before you put finish on it.

No one would guess this piece was your first carving project. Creative, beautiful, and useful! Love the organic feel.

I find all of your work very interesting to watch as I am a novice at refinishing furniture and have very little experience in woodworking. I watched my father when I was young (long ago) and I like to try new things. Btw your new workshop looks great!

I must have missed this episode and just found it today! I am totally gobsmacked! What talent you have! I couldn’t even see where you were going with this at the beginning, but a superb organic shape emerged. Fantastic!

Your work is always brilliant but this is your most amazing piece to date. You must be so satisfied with how it turned out. I loved how you left handles off but used the push openers instead. It was also the best background for a "Reveal". It looks like it belongs in an enchanted woodland!

You’re probably right. I had a break from RUclips due to moving so they are punishing me. The algorithm is cruel. Happens to many RUclipsrs I know. All you can do is to turn the bell notifications and hopefully it will work. Thanks for watching 👍

Wow, Jay!!!! I would never guess that you've never carved anything before making this table based on how gorgeous this turned out!!! You could literally sell that piece for quite a bit of money, it's absolutely STUNNING!!!!

Thank you so much 😊 unfortunately it is hard to get a decent profit. I'm happy the new owner loves it though.
