1 Loyalty....moves less times than 99% of modern footballers. Finally drags his micro nation to the Euros after 23 years of service and retires right before the championship. What a legend.
If he were a real person, I'm pretty sure the San Marino government would comission a bronze statue of Signore Perfetto for the front gate of the Olymipc Stadium of Serravalle. And I'm pretty sure the Hotspurs would make one as well.
FM Coders : Should we declare an 8-bit or 16-bit number for international goals? Miles Jacobson: Who has the highest number in real life? Google: Ali Daei, 109 goals for Iran Miles Jacobson: No problem, 8 bit number should cover it, noone will score more than 255. Mr Perfect: Hold my Beer....
I love how Mr. Perfect had a trial at Real Madrid (see 9:55) but didn’t become a full player for them. Apparently being the best of all time doesn’t cut it at the Bernabeu 😂
How about the Mr Perfect quadruplets? Striker, Midfielder, Defender and Goalkeeper. All playing for one nation and locked into one club, and see how far they get their respective team?
You have to redo this experiment with San Marino but Mr perfect has to have 3 brothers who just happen to be the perfect central midfielder, perfect central defender and the perfect goal keeper. Can a family of the 4 greatest players of all time get the lowest nation to the World Cup. Please do this. Love your experiments.
Aw cmon, 1 more San Marino experiment where you keep adding Mr. Perfect's to see how many it takes to win them the world cup, starting with a second Mr Perfect in goal.
Here's an experiment/challenge idea: set a target of getting San Marino to win the World Cup. You attempt by adding in a few perfect players, another creator goes for maxing out youth ratings, another gives San Marinese clubs top notch facilities, etc. All then sim 20 years and we see who does best. I'd certainly be up for a head-head experiment!
If you have a save from before he decided to retire, you could change his contract expiry date to a few years in the future then check "will leave at end of contract" - that should solve it
I tried making an identical experiment yesterday, except with Mr Perfect (or rather, Sig Perfetto) playing in the San Marino League. In 20 years, the national team managed to get past the 100th position in the world rankings and get to the Nations League B (though they got relegated immediately afterwards). What was shocking, though, is that after the first three seasons, he wasn't part of the starting eleven in his club. Yep, you read that right - the perfect player, playing for one of the teams with the worst media prediction in San Marino (Folgore), was only used for cup games (in one season, he got no league games at all). I had to move him to Fiorentino for him to get the playtime he deserved (and eventually got the team to a single UEFA Conference League group stage).
Oh wow, it's great they got into the top 100! Sounds like a similar trajectory to my experiment. Weird that he couldn't get into his club starting 11 though!
@@GoldenFM Yeah, I even restarted the experiment just in case there was something wrong in, say, his contract... but then it happened again. So I moved him to another club.
Against Finland, I'd like to believe Mr Perfect played a pinpoint accurate shot onto the post simply to take the goalkeeper and defender out of the game and leave himself with a simple tap-in :)
I bet he's not being picked in team of the year because of his age, similar to how he wasn't getting capped at 15 years old despite being the best player ever. Seems like some age restrictions programmed in.
From Wikipedia: "255 is a special number in some tasks having to do with computing. This is the maximum value representable by an eight-digit binary number, and therefore the maximum representable by an unsigned 8-bit byte (the most common size of byte, also called an octet), the smallest common variable size used in high level programming languages (bit being smaller, but rarely used for value storage). The use of eight bits for storage in older video games has had the consequence of it appearing as a hard limit in many video games. For example, in the original The Legend of Zelda game, Link can carry a maximum of 255 rupees. It was often used for numbers where casual gameplay would not cause anyone to exceed the number. However, in most situations it is reachable given enough time. This can cause many other peculiarities to appear when the number wraps back to 0, such as the infamous "kill screen" seen after clearing level 255 of Pac-Man."
The game caps at 255 goals because of the type of variable used when coding the number of goals. The variable can hold 256 values, that's the 255 goals and the zero
I've done a similar experiment but with 3 players and with India. I hoped that would help spark a nationwide interest and due to their large population yield good results. Turns out nothing happened but they beat some teams around their level but that's it. It was still a poor team just with 3 good players.
Opposite end of the spectrum - Could you lock a manager with the worst possible stats and traits to the best international team in FM 2020 and see how far that country drops?
21:51 Just to put Pele's real life achievement of over a thousand goals into perspective, Mr. Perfect has 968 goals for club and country. Not enough, LOL 673 club goals (bottom right) 255(cap)+40= 295 international goals (top left)
@@cesarlemos1337 I don't think it's a bug, per se, but I agree with the sentiment from some FM players that if the game were to allow certain players to score goals at the real life rates of Messi, Ronaldo, or the great Pele... it would be potentially game breaking and mess with the match engine too much. The weirdest part for me is in some of the experiments done, these players score *more* goals playing for top teams in top leagues than they do playing in very low leagues where they are by far and away the most talented player. Overall team strength seems to be, understandably, a huge factor.
@@stephenmason9527 The thing is, those players have a rate of < 1 goal per game, which is not that absurd when you think about it (with Pelé making at least 1000 just for Santos). Mr Perfect it's better than any other player in existence, but his numbers could be matched with the ones of a legend player (and we got a few of them). Also, by having a better team, you have more chances to score, which makes better players perform better. Maybe Golden could catch like how many chances he need to score by average.
@@cesarlemos1337 I agree with all of this. I was merely saying what I've heard some figures say. Like notably Jack from Work The Space, who even briefly worked for or tested the actual game for Football Manager. When the goal scoring rates of Messi and Ronaldo in his lower leagues experiment didn't match up to real life, he alluded to that it would be potentially game breaking.
You mentioned wondering how many Mr. Perfects it would take to get San Marino into the World Cup. Try repeating this experiment with 2 -- a forward and a goalkeeper, say -- then 3 (add a midfielder or centerback), then 4 (the other of midfield/centerback), etc. My money is on 3 or 4. You'd probably need a perfect goalie, defender, and forward. And perhaps a manager for San Marino who isn't absolute trash, too.
Oh look, a new episode of the Sammarinese Mr. Perfect experiment has been released! "...And Mr. Perfect has managed to win a Champions League trophy with Tottenham!.." Ah.
I had an idea of making weird players. Like a gk with max mental/physical stats and just 1 on all gk abilities. Perfect def with no mental abilities. Perfect MC with no physical, except stamina/NF. Perfect ST/Wing with no technical and/or mental abilities. Please use it and be creative :)
I tried something similar to this with me and my friends in our real life positions. How you do it to see the exact stats of the player when you're unemployed? I only get shown ranges how good the stat is circa. Edit: Nice to see another October 28th guy. :D
Load the San Marino league and try again, that way they’ll have some real players instead of greyed out ones. I think it could increase the likelihood of San Marino succeeding
What a disappointing ending to Mr. Perfect's career, how could he retire?!! But they didn't have a fighting chance anyway. How about a Mr. Perfect goalkeeper for a weak national team? Should that keep them from losing so many games? Maybe there would be lots of 0-0 draws.
ah if they only had one more not greyed out player mr perfect could have had a perfect teammate :/ Now do the same with the lowest outside of Europe nation and have least two perfect players

Mr Perfect: Hold my Beer....
Glad it wasn't just me who enjoyed that little detail hahaha
A 9 or a 10 bit number should cover every case, even the weirdest experiments...but unfortunately this isnt a convenient thing in programming :D
Maybe you should make a Mr Perfect manager with the Mr Perfect player and then see if San Marino can win anything
or a perfect GK
I love how Mr. Perfect had a trial at Real Madrid (see 9:55) but didn’t become a full player for them. Apparently being the best of all time doesn’t cut it at the Bernabeu 😂
Also that he’s a PSG legend but apparently not a Spurs one
The crowd was probably chanting for Mbappé xD
Well spotted!
Good spot!

Maybe manage San Marino but with 3 perfect players, 1 defender 1 midfielder 1 attacker?
I think you should trap Mr perfect a San Marino club and see how far he brings the league in Europe
perfect attack vs perfect defense with worst players filling out the rest of the teams

if you look at 23:56 my perfect even managed a game in goal
You should make Mr Perfect 20 or so again... let his run go longer and see how long it takes to get them to the top!!
in 29/30 season. Bournemouth and Huddersfield got level points and level goal difference.
2:32 it’s called the Nations League
Probably a keeper getting sent off with all 3 subs being made
You should be the manager and mr perfect the assistant manager
yes you can edit retire plan in FMRTE

have you though about doing the experiment again with the san marino leagues loaded you should do better as players will come through
Yeees I was about to ask for this

back on a binge of this channel to realise fm predicted the 2020 euros, jeez
Can a perfect back 4 help a non league side survive a season in the premier league?
Can you do an FM experiment by creating a perfect defender, midfielder, goalkeeper, striker. All from the same nation and playing for the same club.
2032 - Austria winning the European Championship. So there's still hope for San Marino.
To be fair, Austria are much better 🙂
Damn football manager predicted the Euro 2020 final
what if you had extended his contract and ticked "retire after leaving current club" or "current contract" or whatevr it is?

I rekon 5 players
how about the wondertwins Mr. Perfect play for san marino, one is attacker and the other as goalkepper
What about giving Mr. Perfect a secondary job as San Marino manager now that he's retired?
Maybe fix him to a san marino team? He might improve the league?
the most baffling point of this whole experiment really is Angers in the Champions League finals, I mean... come on...
If not Fiji, how about Cyprus?By th e way,i enjoy your videos very much, keep the coming mate.
The most absurd thing is that even Mr Perfect is a multi award winning player , san marino's fame is still ultra low .
23:57 he played a game as GK
Do the Brian clough spear of perfect players a cb cm st. And see what they can do
Oh look, a new episode of the Sammarinese Mr. Perfect experiment has been released!

Gallardo wining things everywhere
Can you please have Mr. Selfish with no Teamwork? He would achieve so much more I think.
Pls bring back the 'can nation x win the world cup' back with for example something like turks and caicoş or anguila or so
I tried something similar to this with me and my friends in our real life positions. How you do it to see the exact stats of the player when you're unemployed? I only get shown ranges how good the stat is circa.

The Marsl McFly I think he used editor
21:35 where's Belgium??
3:50 shouts go to USA at 11th
Want a next part
He doesn’t have to retire since his attribute has been frozen
It also said he’d played a game in goal
23:57 he played as GK for 1 game ahahah.
The GK must have been injured mid game and they had him play in that position because they were out of subtitutions. It happens.
Try giving San Marino a perfect goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, striker and a perfect manager! Let's see if they can do it :)
should put him in east timor and see if he could win asian cup and get picked up by european teams
Yeah, its 255, checked in editor. Same is for caps
Does the ranking increase the country's chances of having better youth coming up the squad?
do a el salvador experiment pls
At 23:56 why has he played 1 match in goal 😂
the GK prob got sent off mid match
Mr perfect manager and player for romania maybe?
Lol. He chickened out
Put a Mr Perfect in every team in the league and see who does the best. maybe name them Mr and they team they play for
Retirement can be change in FMRTE xp
Do a perfect spine but this time use Gibraltar
Make him the San Marino manager
How about adding some siblings. Let the "Perfect" family play for San Marino.
Would never happen in real life. Italy would claim him as their own. Its amazing how many footballers jump ship to play international football.
Guilty!! I just bought FM2020!
Luxembourg after part 3
That's a cool bug. The value is clearly stored as an 8bit number 😂. Reported to si I assume? Haha
Isn't Mr. Perfect too skinny? 1.85m and 70kg it's too little. I don't know if that affects a player, but's strange he's so thin (maybe hollow bones?)
MR PERFECT TRIOS!!!
Arsenal is still 4th xd 3:10
why not create the best goalkeeper on San Marino too?
What if San Marino had the perfect squad?
Mr perfect as an australian.
Load the San Marino league and try again, that way they’ll have some real players instead of greyed out ones. I think it could increase the likelihood of San Marino succeeding
One Mr. Perfect isn't enogh so why not to simulate also the carrer of Mr. Perfect junior, maybe he can try to carry San Marino national team to glory
they need to change it to 512 so it doesn't reset to 0
When he retires, make him a perfect manager and put him in charge of San Marino with his son (also perfect) as a player
can you fix our economy with the world's greatest economist? yeah, I'm sammarinese
Angers is pronounced ah-ZHER
What a disappointing ending to Mr. Perfect's career, how could he retire?!! But they didn't have a fighting chance anyway. How about a Mr. Perfect goalkeeper for a weak national team? Should that keep them from losing so many games? Maybe there would be lots of 0-0 draws.
Make the best playmaker for the worst team imagining😂
who sounds like an italian dictator lol
ah if they only had one more not greyed out player mr perfect could have had a perfect teammate :/ Now do the same with the lowest outside of Europe nation and have least two perfect players
Oops.
Has an ambitious personality then move to spurs.lol. what a mess up game
Make experiment about England with low youth rating and see what happen to Premier League.
