Cheers man, glad you enjoyed it! The Falls was kinda annoying but I wa lucky to film it on a day like that so I wasn't too pissed off lol 😂 I have a 30 minute cut of this video or the website 🤓 working on longer cuts of old videos too and bloopers and stuff
Great video. I’ve recently been rewatching the wonderful Father Ted and can’t believe it’s been almost 30 years! My teenage daughter absolutely loved it. We hope to make it to Ireland one day to track down some locations x
Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦. Father Ted is one of my favorite shows. The first time I ever even heard of it is when CBC played the Christmas special! We laughed so hard lol Great video
Some trivia. I visited this area in 2016. Awesome video by the way. So at the back of Vaughans pub there's a carpark. That's where they erected the marquee for the king of the sheep competition episode. Also, at that time (in 2016) a friendly local pointed out that the roundabout used to film the Speed episode was laying up against a wall, rotting away, it was made from 4 x triangular pieces of memory serves me. Just up the road from that pub is Kilfenore Community hall where they filmed the raffle! There are so many locations 😁
Thanks for the info! I wanted to do a full Locations video, arán islands, Dublin, wicklow the whole lot but when I researched, the most iconic ones (for me at least) were in Clare. There's tonnes of locations left but they are fairly obscure or.. far away 🐮👀
I honestly had no idea it was shot in Co. Clare, I knew the house was there but I always thought it was mostly shot in Co. Galway. Thanks for showing what the locations look like today.
Awesome new episode! You turned me on to Father Ted with your Father Ted Games video! Binged and loved the series and these added to the love for that series. Great video David!
Thank you Bas! It's such a great show, I rewatched it before making the video and I still get such a laugh out of it. Tedfest 2024 is on soon, if you get the chance to go sometime it's well worth it!
There might have been a part of one of the episodes filmed there but I honestly don't know 😅 almost all of the outdoor stuff was filmed in Clare, bits in Dublin and Wicklow as far as I know 🤔
I have been on Google satellite /street maps for months trying to figure out locations of these places. Planning a trip next year. The dancing priest house is just up the road from father Ted's too 😊
That's not where the caravan was. If you follow the road to the beach you'll find the spot just before. The sheds/toilets in the FT episode were not real so there would be no sign or remnants of that. And the caravan that they were in that didn't belong to them was a real caravan but no longer exists. The owners do have a new caravan on the same spot though. It is the very last caravan before you reach the beach. Has a picnic bench beside it. Can't miss it. Another great video David
Thanks for letting me know Carrie! I walked around way more than I showed but still couldn't see anything that resembled it. Was still cool to visit all the spots. Really wanted to see the very dark cave sign 😂😭😂
Just behind, on the little beach area is where they filmed Len Brennan and the son building sand castles with a Bishop's hat... What an incredible show!
I live in Tennessee, US, and I found this show about 5 years ago.. This is one of the Greatest shows Ever... When I started researching why there were only 3 seasons, It broke my heart to find out the story of Dermot Morgan was gone... I can't watch the last episode because of the last scene when Ted says goodnight to everyone... It brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it.. I think this show is in the top 3 ever made.. Father Ted, Still Game, Mrs. Brown's Boys, Peaky Blinders, Seinfeld, are my Top shows Ever made...I watch at least 2 episodes of Father Ted everyday... I'm trying to get over there to Ted fest, soon as I can.. Who was your favorite character from Father Ted??? Tough choice huh??
Easily one of the best comedy shows ever made! I think Fr. Fintan Stack was hilarious, they should have done more with him. Main characters: Dougal is my favourite!
@@TheIrishGuyVlogs I wish they would have done more with Father Dick Byrne, and Father Cyril MacDuff... I loved those 2 as well... I watched a doc. that said that Father Dick Byrne, played by Maurice O'Donoghue, was almost cast as Father Ted.. They chose the correct people though.. I can't imagine anyone else playing Father Ted... Dermot Morgan was a Genius... What a Great man ...He was in like 25 episodes, and became a Legend...
@@TheIrishGuyVlogs I Love this show, and I want more Irish shows in my life.. I watch Father Ted and Mrs Brown's Boys Everyday... If you got any suggestions, I would love to hear them.. Thanks my friend..
Excellent video as per usual man! The drone shots at the Falls in ennistymon were unbelievable especially! Great idea for a video, really enjoyed it

So nice 😂
And you've seen Number 2 in Person! 😂
Huge Father Ted fan. I just noticed that the second shop also advertised for undertaking services!
😂 😂 Well spotted. I've never noticed that before! Father Ted is the gift that keeps on giving 🙏🏻
Was it filmed in Ballymena as a friend said last week they were on Ballymena where father red was filmed. I wasn't so sure that's where.

The hotel at the water location (The Falls Hotel) is where the cast and crew stayed during filming 🏡

The cliffs are also where ted hides Jack's booze during the lent episode.
