it has its own charm to it. A possible explanation is that the asteroids that rain down frequently have minerals in them, so its not really out of place lore wise.

Last week I saw this game popup while browsing GOG, thought it looked intriguing. I enjoyed Subnautica and this reminded me of it. After watching the initial review I picked it up. The game is awesome. Great price too.
I have been enjoying this game, and I was happy to see that it was out of early access. Naturally, I had to start a new playthrough. It is a relaxing game. Progress is slow but steady. There is no fighting, which makes me very happy. I'm sick of all the fighting in video games, and I have been craving games that don't rely on combat. The only real hazards in the game are running out of oxygen, water, and food. In the early game, oxygen presents a serious problem, but in time, it becomes a non-issue. Food is also potentially troublesome, as there is limited food at the beginning, and it is possible to run out before unlocking the food grower and finding seeds. Later on in the game, the only real hazard is forgetting to bring enough food and water on a long expedition. Those who want a hard core survival experience with lots of fighting won't find that here. This game is survival-lite. It is more about exploring and building than struggling.
I booted this up when I heard that 1.0 dropped. My jaw dropped at the upgrades; and I've run three or four save files to "completion" previously. Started with a new save and am thoroughly enjoying building a new base...again. Sure, there's still a little jank, but it's the chill exploration and building gameplay that really matters.
Osiris is like this but looks and plays better along with being more realistic. For example, you won't have any access to a magic gismo straight away, you'll need to build the basics first, a tool bench, you'll only get access to a 3D printer later in the game, and that's with limited resources. Very cool game, the goal is to escape from the planet after crashing on it. I binged it for a month. It's challenging you'll need to survive cold nights and limited oxygen along with critters trying to kill you.
It's a little gem of a game. Great survival aspect. Nice base building. The inbuilt pacifism of the game may put some people off (some nasty robot drones to shoot would be nice), but overall it's a short, but sweet survival/crafting game.
Played this in early access. My main problem was food. I had little bases everywhere so oxygen was okay but if you don't explore derelict space ships then food will run out. I did get to grow food but it was never enough as only some bases grew food and if you were in the wrong base and food was low, it was run back or go through a wrecked ship looking for food or seeds to grow food at that base.
the thing you are looking for is parallelization. Just get like 3 or 4 food growers T1 going at growing beans and you will end up with enough food that you dont know where you put it
I bought this game the day after your early access review, but I’ve never played it because I didn’t want to play it until it was finished Now that it’s out, I’m totally diving into this game head first this weekend !
The words you used and the feelings you had about it made me instantly getting the intuition that this is something i must try out 👍 And like someone mentioned below, it looked a bit like Subnautica (the first one) and thats an adventure must for me
I will be picking this up. I loved subnautica. Apart from a glich that meant the enzyme wasn't released at the end of the game. Took me 18 months to get to that point 😢
It looks a lot like Satisfactory to me. I put like 80 hours into that game. Love it, gets kinda grindy later on, but exploring the massive map stays very interesting.
Got 37 hours in this before 1.0. Probably a good idea to just start over because they've added a lot since I started my save. Great fun seeing everything change.
Decently a great game, I have played it in the past. Would have loved some danger elements as you said such as alien's or natural desalters that harm your base but, overall worth a buy!" :) I do have a missive frame drop in the beginning outseen but, not really a problem.
There are levels to indie games and I am genuinely amazed at some of these "mom & pops" devs. Games like this, Captain of Industry, Dinkum, Hydroneer and a few other gems are literally made by one or two people. Then you have other indie devs who are nowhere near these titles, or are just straight up scams. Horray for the 1.0 release!
Glad to finally see this, a "Subnautica and Factorio had a baby with with terraforming aspect game" have a 1.0 release! And to think 2 years used to be the "standard" dev time for quality releases back in the day is now considered "Indie" or "Early Access"...
Played for 52hrs and cant wait to return, Lats time played was april 2022 so there is a lot of new stuff to experience since then. Aliens, so you havent found it yet :D
I bought this game largely on the basis of your recommendation. Sadly, it's just another job simulator. Fetchy fetchy, walky walky, puff and pant. I spent the best part of an hour gathering elements and making toys. And? I see all the greenery in your video, plastered onto the low-poly landscape, and it doesn't fill me with joy, it fills me with dread. I worked a day job for 40 years. That was more than enough!
It’s the indie companies that are producing the very best of games these days! I’ve said it for a while now but most RUclipsrs are dull and follow meta streaming like sheep. Thanks for covering this Mac. :)

Space Nautica? Sounds freaking awesome. Definitely gonna check this one out.
Thanks for bringing this game to our attention. I hope it is like subnautica, I really loved that game.
I love this game and how they have been constantly updating it.
I got PC after the first WaB, loved it and had been waiting for 1.0 since then.
Once I'm done with delta v rings of Saturn I'm definately coming back
Played this in early access.
Just get like 3 or 4 food growers T1 going at growing beans and you will end up with enough food that you dont know where you put it
I bought this game the day after your early access review, but I’ve never played it because I didn’t want to play it until it was finished
Now that it’s out, I’m totally diving into this game head first this weekend !
this a a great game! I found it when you did your initial review. thank you!!
it's on sale on steam right now guys
The GOG page says Intel HD Graphics 5000 recommended. That's very good! So this should easily run on any modern AMD APU, even in 1440p
The words you used and the feelings you had about it made me instantly getting the intuition that this is something i must try out 👍 And like someone mentioned below, it looked a bit like Subnautica (the first one) and thats an adventure must for me
LOL the dig at not being able to buy your way out of the grind... 🤣🤣🤣
I'm very interested in playing this. I might grab it.
You are my favorite reviewer by far
I love this little game, and have over 200 hours into it myself. It is a little gem.
appreciate the heads up on this one - thanks Mack
Hello mate, I'd be interested in your thoughts on the new Outcast. It seems like one you would have reviewed. I'm mostly enjoying it myself
Thanks Mack, best game I played for a long time! 🚀
