I’ve admired Mark’s playing since I bought his debut album The Marksman back around 1990. I was all about Steve Vai, SRV and Joe Satriani back then. I was blown away by his playing. Since then he has matured deeper into his own distinct style, a little Wes, a little Benson, plenty of soul and an awful lot of Mark Whitfield. This new guitar looks great - an instrument built for jazz and neo-soul, but easily accessible. Love it.
Mark is a national treasure. I've never heard a solo or an instrumental section that he played that didn't sound soulful & inspired! A beautiful guitar, as well! Bravo, D'Angelico!
Mark Whitfield is an incredibly talented musical artist and I've enjoyed listening to his music for quite a while now. I do hope to see him perform live sometime soon. He is soooooo good! I'm glad that he's getting this kind of recognition. Fantastic!
congratulations Mark Whitfield that guitar sounds great and that's a great endorsement. Hey Mark come on down to Just Fish and Newark on Fridays and sit in a jam OK
it's funny how all the great guitarist can take your guitar and make it sound fantastic and then give it back to you and you're like what just happened? That's happened to me with my guitar teacher back in the day and basically all the master guys can do that they can make any guitar sound really great
I really love D'Angelico guitars and I am a happy owner. - But I really miss a bigger choice of pickups on the jazzboxes Exl-1 or Throwback . I mean Jazz is where D'Angelico come from. Everytime I look up the catalogue I find myself disappointed that they always come with a floating pickup. And it doesen t make sense to me since the most frequent pickups for jazz guitar are humbuckers, Charlie Cristians or P90s.
Mark is a freakin beast, i started listening after I watched a video of him flirting with Kathrine McPhee with a sick solo 😂 during Chris botti’s version of “I’ve got you under my skin”

The PHENOMENAL Mark Whitfield!!! You can't go wrong with Kent Armstrong pickups! That's a very sweet guitar!
I have been waiting more than 5 years for a hollow-body SS!!! Love my 59 and SS, but have a feeling this will replace both! Thank you!

It kinda sounds like a Gibson ES 335 but I think it's smaller than that in size
