Why Dragclicking Tape is TOXIC and RUINS your Mouse (Scientific Explanation & Analysis)

Electrical Tape contains toxic chemicals & should be used with caution. In addition, it has been shown & proven to destroy the surface of mice!
Disclaimer: This video is not meant to fear monger or mislead anyone. The purpose of this video is to educate viewers and fellow drag clickers on the science of the possible dangers of electrical tape and the appropriate precautions that can be taken to minimize risk when utilizing it on your mouse.
Most famous drag clickers use tape, often a form of electrical tape as their preferred choice, to achieve insanely consistent drag clicks and cps. Tape can be very useful for dragclicking; however, there are two problems with using (specifically electrical tape) on your mouse. The number one problem is that electrical tape (even if umarked) most likely contains harsher chemicals (including high levels of BPA). These chemicals, if exposed to for long periods of time, can build up and cause potential harm down the line. Therefore, its important for people to wash their hands after coming in contact with their dragclicking mice to minimize risk. Most likely no one is significantly impacted from the chemicals in this tape, but that does not mean that you shouldn't take a few precautions for the sake of it!
Problem #2 with electrical tape: Electrical tape can actually ruin the surface of your mouse and can make it nearly impossible to dragclick! A few people who tried it on their new Bloody A70 mice could not dragclick on them anymore (without tape) because the electrical dragclicking tape coats the surface of the mouse with oils and glue. These oils and glues most likely can't be removed completely! Simply removing the natural buildup of body oils is hard enough! Let alone strong electric glue for wires and long term adherence. Just be mindful... once you put on tape the only solution is more tape if thats how you rock!
All in all, whether or not you choose to you tape or not is up to you! Personally... if you have a Bloody Abedless, specifically, I would NOT recommend tape on that mouse only! I use dt8 by 3m which is duct tape and it uses synthetic rubber and I can drag very well with it. The only thing I would note is that it is good to replace the tape on the mouse every 1 week or so, as if you keep it on for months at a time, the super strong rubber adhesive will wear onto the mouse and is a headache to get off, though possible.

Hi I would like to indicate that these warnings are put there for legal reasons by the tape company and it’s most likely that the tape doesn’t contain the harmful chemicals. It’s the same as how some foods say “may contain nuts” even though they probably don’t but they have to say that because that food was made in the same factory that produces food containing nuts.
Basically the factory that makes the tape also makes other products that contains this harmful chemical. However the company that makes the tape doesn’t actually put this harmful chemical in the tape. The company is just legally required to put this warning label just in case something from another product that did contain that harmful chemical somehow got into the tape.
Now obviously you should still protect yourself if just in case there is the small chance your tape contains the chemical but it’s highly unlikely.

Yes, Duck electric tape is super good for drag clicking, but it contains more amount of BPA than the cheap half-a-dollar electric tape I'm using. But basically, every electric tape (OR EVEN RAZER TAPE) contains BPA.
I did not know electric tape for around 4 years since the first time I use electric tape, but after that, I was reading a newspaper, and do you know what it said? "A man gets cancer by biting electric tape everyday"

I didn’t really like the fact of putting tape on my mouse bc i don’t wanna ruin it. I just want to say something the tape may be toxic but it is like 5G it is so little that unless you eat your whole roll of tape it will not harm you also unless your a mad man who drag clicks on the sticky side your ok because the sticky part has BPA

Unfortunately, I severely doubt that ANY effects will come from using electrical tape. Pretty much every product made now has that label, saying that it is known to have caused cancer in the state of California. Yes, if u were to sit there eating electrical tape, u might have issues, but in all reality you will be fine. As for the surface thingy, there’s really easy ways to get it off, namely rubbing alcohol.

Doing that just doesn't work for me. Before sticking I got Around 16-17 cps. After sticking my finger, I got around 12-13 cps.

Question: is scotch tape also toxic for the mouse texture? I don’t use electrical tape, I cut out the paper in my yearbooks and I use double sided scotch tape. Also another thing the A60 is in stock so is it good that I can just get it now or is it worth the wait to get the ABedless?
a60 > a70 since a70 has a bad texture, abedless is just a really good textured a70 so if your planning on using tape get a70, if not get abedless or a60

Alright, so basically, I have two mouse's, one that's bad and one that's decent, so when I bought a stylus, I got a glove, also, I am using painters tape, so if I use my other mouse for dragging, and use my glove (washable) does this make it so I can drag with no consequences?
a couple things first masking tape is fine and second it's extremely low chance, like, as in 36 people have gotten sick from it in the past 10 years or something and it's not even confirmed that those were from this.
