Hello my friend. So happy to see you today. My Mother was a basket lover. I love the bird nest napkin. The large white basket is just gorgeous. The little dollar tree basket is adorable. It turned out so beautifully. Thank you, Lisa for sharing these lovely projects. God Bless you and your family. I look forward to your next video.
Hello my friend, Pamela! I am so happy to receive your sweet message. I'm so glad you enjoyed the projects, and I'm glad this reminded you of your mother's love of baskets. I have always loved baskets, too. Thank You, as always for your thoughtfulness! I am grateful for your friendship. May God bless You and your family.🤗
Thank You for your sweet message! I am glad you enjoyed seeing the baskets! I really appreciate you taking the time to share such a thoughtful comment!🤗
Wow! I really appreciate your most kind message! I'm so happy you liked it. It does amaze me that for just $1.25 and a napkin, you can make an attractive and useful item! Thank you, Don!
Hi and thanks for a great question! Just a thin layer of ModPodge over the napkin design is all that is necessary for this project. You don’t need to cover the whole basket but just go over the napkin to seal it nicely. Thanks and I hope that helps!😊
It’s lovely!!! Just did one following your instructions. I’ll decide if I like it once it dries. I used a terracotta colored basket (already had it) and napkin I thought would match, so this one is kinda practice. It’s drying now, so stay tuned. Thanks for your video.
Hi Sharon! I'm so happy to hear that you were inspired to try one! I hope it turns out well! I would love to hear how it turns out once it dries! Thanks for your thoughtful comments!
I make my own rope baskets. But usually machine embroider the inside of the baskets. Using the 9:45 decoupage is last time consuming. Can’t wait to give it a try. Can I use a razor blade instead of the knife you use.
@@merylweintraub9747 Oh I would love to see them!! You could send them as an email attachment to my email address at: laskincaid@yahoo.com Would you be able to do that? I am not sure how to send pictures through this message/comment section. I will have to research that to find out, but in the meantime, you could send them to my email. I hope that works because I would love to see your creations! I bet they look great.😍
Good question! ModPodge and other water based products will wash out of the brushes if you soak them in warm sudsy water while the ModPodge is still wet. If the ModPodge is allowed to dry on the bristles, it becomes very difficult, and I have had to throw a couple away. I use inexpensive brushes in packages from the Dollar Store, but to protect the environment, it is better to clean and reuse them. I would personally recommend not pouring any ModPodge down the drain! If anybody has other suggestions, I would love to hear them! Thanks for asking! I'm sure others have the same question.
Hi! That's a great question. I think it would have if I had applied the Mod Podge to the entire surface. Instead, I only applied the ModPodge to the surfaces where the napkin was to be adhered. I also applied a topcoat of it over the design. That way, the rope basket remains soft. Thanks for watching!
What a beautiful beautiful idea and basket. You did a awesome job thank you for the ideas and the tutorial
How thoughtful of you to comment in such a sweet way! I'm so happy you like the basket and very much appreciate your thoughtful😍🤗 message!

You don’t put anything over the da courage?
How do you clean your brushes?

Thanks for your sweet words and support!🤗🥰
Did the Modge Podge make the basket hard?

Would love to see some gnomes on the side of the basket. For example, Amazon has some great gnome napkins that you could use your water pen on.
Thanks for the tip! Thanks for watching!
