The is a lot of ahistorical disinformation and revisionist talk about uTata uMadiba....his role is now being criticised by omafikizolo and born frees. It is very sad to hear. Madiba played his part and the country had a relatively peaceful transition. He delivered the political freedom and the constitutional dispensation that is the envy of the world. The real work for economic freedom was the job of those coming after oThabo, Zuma, Cyril.... because anc sacp did not achieve an outright military victory they had no choice but to go with a negotiated settlement...and under a lot of pressure from the west. U are seeing today how the west is pressuring Russia, imagine the poor anc. Dont blame madiba bafo. Blame the anc who lost their way thru greed and corruption. Blame yourselves as voters. You continue to vote for corrupt politicians and to be stuck in narratives about race. Blame the black middle class ...and tenderpreneurs...they are consumers and twerkers and dont want to farm or own factories .
People undermine Madiba's role in our democratic transition...especially those who did not witness the fighting and looming war. Mandela put peace and people first. There were blood thirsty comrades who would've cost the country and many lives. These stupid arguments that he sold the country are peacetime luxury conversations. There wasn't much he could do. Ofcourse our oppressors were never going to give him the keys to the vault. That has NEVER happened in the history of colonialism.
