I have to agree with you, I first heard of them when Jason joined Metallica, I liked a few songs, Smoked Out and Wading Through The Darkness, but never really gave them a fair shake.....listening now, they're damn good!

The only one I don't put back in the player is the rerecording of No Place for Disgrace, it just isn't as good as the original. of course I like some better than others, but the all have their merits.

hearing the opening, you'd be forgiven to think the vocals will be incomprehensible screeching (if you're unfamiliar with the band), but then the lyrics start and i can almost understand them without knowing the lyrics. pleasantly surprised.
Flotsam & Jetsam are Great ! One of my faves is No place for disgrace. Have to say this track is good but the Irony of the Song Titled Iron Maiden it actually vibes like Iron Maiden. Some of the Guitar parts have it and some of The vocal lines seem to be phrased like Bruce Dickinson, But hey none the less great song. 🤘

iron maiden was a torture for ppl considered "witches" etc at medieval times.its not about the band its about the torture from the church
