So after struggling a bit with consistency of hit, I practised using this drill and one from Alex Elliot, the spiral move. Keeping weight on left heel was a eureka moment. Big difference in connection. At 63, I'm pretty chuffed to have a carry distance of 150 yds with my 8 iron. Keep the drills coming !! Many thanks, Dave
Good video. I like how you focused on the weight distribution in the feet to fix posture. It is easier for golfers to feel the weight in their feet more than what their spine angle is doing in the downswing!
No problem 👌 we had a little snow the other day but nothing major. Use the snow to your advantage and make the changes you need to make so they feel natural when the weather changes 👌
Just watched a couple of your videos-exactly what I need to work on. Very simple and well explained. Just subscribed, loving the channel so far. As a follow up to this drill, I imagine once you start keeping the left hip back, your arms would have to lengthen at impact or we will probably be hitting off the toe given the farther proximity to the ball at impact.
Thanks so much and welcome to the channel ⛳️ yes indeed there will be an element of right arm straightening plus with the hips pushing back will encourage more forward bend keeping you close enough to the ball. Does that make sense?
Very good information, David, thank you. I've focused so much on getting backwsing better, don't have a clue about what goes where after impact! I've noticed a "sway" gpomg through the hit and this should help fix that a lot. How about some help with the lead arm after impact? Will run around to Azalea City and try this out today. Thanks.
Hey Richard thanks so much, let me know how it goes ⛳️ yes indeed I’ll get a video about this. One thing I will say is that what the lead arm does through impact is massively to do with the backswing and downswing. Very much a reaction of all the things that went on before impact
Great video, going to give it a try thanks. Quick question, if your EE because of an over the top / steep swing will this drill help to get in shallower plane on the downswing?
Hey thanks for the comment. It will have some impact on shallowing you out I’ll attach another video I did that might help you shallow a better and it could be used in conjunction with this drill 👍 let me know if you’ve any questions Master Your Golf Swing: Secrets to Fixing Over the Top | Back to the Target ruclips.net/video/Ec7JHJLtnPs/видео.html
Amazing I love it, some day I hope to live over there again. I do miss it. Played a lot of mini tours in Florida also. So cool. Thanks and glad it helped you
Almost every week you reinforce the work I’m doing with my coach. Keep it coming 👍🏻
Awesome that’s great 👍 plan to keep a lot more coming ⛳️

That is awesome Dave so delighted I’ve helped you, that’s what this channel is all about. Really appreciate your comment 👍
Thanks Dave! No snow here in São Paulo, Brazil, so I’ll give it a go
Awesome Paul I’m very jealous. Enjoy and let me know how it goes ⛳️
I was just in Punta del Este, Uruguay teaching golf with a friend and golf instructor there.
Such small world 🌍 amazing

Thanks Bris, yes 100% I totally agree, this one drill can fix a number of things in the swing without having to think about them ⛳️
Do this myself at different times, not seen this ball under the foot so I’ll give it a go. Thanks.
Awesome glad you enjoyed it 👌 let me know how it goes. Really helped me out personally ⛳️
Thanks for bringing this up, Dave. I will give it a go, but indoors as we are drowning in snow at the moment in Austria.
