    I was thinking that gold would be the perfect colour for the guitar, and low and behold, you picked gold. Gonna look great.

    I'm super excited to see the finished product, Brad!! It's scary how similar we went on hardware selections, but they were slightly different. I guess great minds do think alike!!! Cheers, brother!

    Love the gold hardware. It's a good choice as it tries in the amber and will look great with the beautiful green-blue finish. As always beautiful work Brad!

    F I N A L L Y ! Love your choice of colors and finish as well as the gold hardware (very spiffy) 😊 My forte is electronics...I'd offer my services, but alas, I am happily retired. This has been a great, if "strung out" project, but as always all good things take time or as my dear Gramma used to say, "Rome wasn't built in a day!"

    Not usually a fan of gold hardware but this is going to contrast really well ...I'm following the build 👍

    I know the guitar was a kit, but when using gold hardware I think using the Evo gold fret wire really finishes the look! - Can't wait to see her done!

    Pretty sure you could put the gold knob onto the switchcraft toggle switch. Otherwise, very nice hardware choices, going to look sexy

      I have no idea what was going on there. I’ll have to do some more tests with more motion.

    As for electrical. It is fun trying different components and wiring from scratch. Sometimes you get stuff like blade switches which are not the same in terms of lug assignment and have to troubleshoot. In the end no magic. The issues are simple in their cause even though the symptoms are complex. I usually get a bit annoyed and scratch the head at first then I remember my own statement about simple in cause, complex in symptom.

    I wish I had made a bet on gold. I would have won. I put gold hardware on deep burgundy-ish lacquer on my auction guitar and the gold is beautiful. Can’t wait to see it finished.

    Hey Brad,
    I know gold hardware gets a bad wrap many times heh…. But honestly I think it looks awesome on a green guitar man ( It also looks great on black or white too imo ). Looking forward to the finished product, Babisch hardware is also off the hook too as long as you’re not looking for an OEM look. I never tried this brand on the Gibson style set up but I do have one on one of my Warmoth Tele’s and it’s a very nice bridge to say the least 🤙
    Great choices man.

    Beautiful guitar Brad! Are you still going to do a video of refinishing the tele body you showed briefly in a past video (a black burst red tele body), I have a similar one I'm going to refinish and I am really looking forward to that series. Keep up the great content!

    Hi Brad,I'm glad you're back, question have you ever put a Lp wraparound bridge on a telecaster body .
    Might be a interesting video.

    • @BradAngove
      @BradAngove  7 месяцев назад +1

      I haven’t. In order to do so you would need to either recess the bridge or raise the pickups and angle the neck.

    • @marksmith-hs9li
      @marksmith-hs9li 7 месяцев назад

      @@BradAngove true but a good idea,if you Google the late great Rick parfaitt you will see it on his telecaster and Francis Rossi 's guitar.

    Just received my precision guitar kits LP today. Pretty happy overall but the "flame maple" neck i received for a $100 upcharge is a joke, as is the "flame maple" headstock veneer i selected. The one in your video is worlds more flamey. Also was surprised with the sloppiness of the routes as PGK is supposed to be known for everything being near perfect

    • @BradAngove
      @BradAngove  7 месяцев назад +1

      The routes on mine were fantastic. I’m surprised that yours weren’t.
      The wood is a bit of a different issue. I’m not sure how things go with flamed necks, but I suspect it would be tough to find neck pieces that flamed.

    I glued wooden dowling rods into the pot holes, made a card template and drilled new holes for my obsidian to fit in, I Stripped my vintage 100 lp and made it work and in process of doing it with my coban guitar kit now, have subscribed and sorted notifications to alert me when you do a new vid.......not getting notifications ???????? Came across the video just

    In the middle of a precision kit build myself. Thanks for all the links. What truss rod cover did you use?

    • @BradAngove
      @BradAngove  Месяц назад +1

      I think I show that in the next one. It’s a custom cover sourced by the customer.

    Hi Brad, I am very interested to see how this ends up. I got a similar kit from PGK. I am wondering which nut you went with? I was looking at Graphtech Tusq Nuts, but I could not find a preslotted one that matched the dimensions of the groove on the neck.

    • @BradAngove
      @BradAngove  7 месяцев назад

      That’s what I chose. A graph tech pre-slotted. If it’s a touch wide I will just sand it down a bit.

  • @Chagrin223
    @Chagrin223 3 месяца назад

    So you're not gonna darken the headstock to match the body?

    • @BradAngove

      No, I’m not doing anything else to the headstock.

    Gold? Hahaha we waited like a year hahaha. All good. Only critique, you should put some aluminum-brass hardware (bridge) to do justice to the wood.
