The guitar is looking very nice, complete, and sounding great! As a 'dad' you are suffering from the normal symptoms of being a new dad...learning to adjust. I would suggest good vitamins to keep your vitamin c maxed to help keep your resistance high through the coming weeks of disturbed sleep. It does get better, especially when your baby grins!
Thank you. Honestly being a dad is great. Chasing the little lunatic around is good for me haha. My day job has just been crazy busy lately, which turns it into a night job as well. It doesn’t leave a lot of time for this stuff.
Bless you both and your little one's from a fellow dad and guitar lover👍
Great build! "Goodbye to palm muting"? That person was a goof. The Babicz is my absolute favorite bridge for palm muting!
He must have just been a bit confused haha.
Great work on this one, looks and sounds great!
Thank you!
Awesome job Brad !!!
Thank you!
Beautiful work!
Fantastic work. Looks wonderful.
Thanks Dan
Great job on this , nice to hear it finished , looks absolutely stunning 👍🇬🇧
Brad Thanks for all your hints and tips
Thanks for watching
I love the look of this guitar. Well done!
Thanks; I’m glad you like it.
Great stuff, Brad. You're the man
Thank you
Definitely an Awesome build and the Color with the Gold Rocks, Glad You share all Your ideas With Us Keep Building and Rocking 👍👍🎶🎶🎸
Thanks John
That build turned out awesome and sounds fantastic!
Thanks!
Awesome job Brad. Wish we was as talented as you. Such an amazing guitar builder
I’m glad you like it Kent
It sounds fairly well. Looks nice.
Thanks. Unfortunately nothing would sound quite as it should with this silly recording setup.
Thumbs up on a great build. I didn't care for the color too much at first, but it grew on me and I really dig it now. Nice job well done!
Thank you. I’m glad you like it.
I feel you on the late night filming and editing, Brad! Beautiful guitar though, your work is fantastic as always.
Thanks Phil. Much appreciated.
Looking good coming along nicely
Thank you
I have their bridges on my LPs and their trem on a Strat clone. Well made. Clever design. Easy to adjust.
I’m surprised more companies don’t have similar setups.
Good stuff thx!
Looks awesome!
Thank you!
Turned out awesome! :)
Thanks!
Gorgeous build… exhausted builder!
It’s that obvious hey?
Guitar looks awesome!
Thanks Pete
Thank you Pete
Happy good Friday sir. Enjoy
Same to you sir
Hey Brad!
Very cool build man, I like how you did the edging too. There’s a clear between the green top and the side / back portion 🤙
Great choices in colors too, the gold hardware with the green top and ambered back come together nicely man.
PS ~ After I do a build I’m literally ‘adjusting’ shit for up to a week even before I get them in their sweet spot ahah! So I get it man ahah!
Thanks Tommy
Hey Brad long time since I have watched your videos. Like you, I have had some changes in my life. I’m just getting back into building my own guitars again.
Anyhow, I love the look of this guitar. I’m going to look into that bridge setup. Glad to see you and I will go check out the build from the beginning.
Thanks; I’m glad you like it.
Very nice build and sounds good.
For recording, there is always the option of a focusrite scarlett solo, and some mixing software. No need to worry about volume being too loud then as it's all through the computer.
I just got a babicz bridge for a telecaster, love it and palm mute is very easy to do with it also.
Look after yourself Brad, sounds like your getting sick, or just need a good sleep?
Look forward to the next build.
Thank you. I’ll look into that option.
Yeah, getting a little sick and I’ve needed a good sleep for the last 6 weeks haha. Work has been crazy - it happens.
That's pretty decent playing for not having played in three years! Nice job!
Thanks. I’m not known for impressing anyone with the demos haha.
I can't get over how beautiful that flame turned out. Ive been looking at doing a decent kit before doing a scratch build. I picked up a cheapy les paul kit from muslady. What an absolute POS.The neck joint is as loose as.......... nevermind , family friendly. Ive had it a year and it is half done. I would definitely have more ambition to complete a well made kit. Great job.
Thank you. I saw where you were going with that, and I assure you I found it hilarious.
Very nice looking guitar. Couple of weeks of micro adjustments and you're good to go. A job very well done. Congratulations! Get some sleep....
Thank you. Hopefully things calm down a bit at work and I get to sleep more haha.
Beautiful burst Brad, I’ll go back and look at the whole build vids now. May I ask how much $ we would need to put in to achieve a similar build?seems like precision kits are high end priced and added gold hardware and custom harness also don’t come cheep?
Yeah it would be a pretty pricey build. I’m not entirely sure because I get access to some of this stuff at a reduced cost I’m also working in Canadian dollars, but I’m guessing $1200-$1500 Canadian.
Very nice, sounds good. Is this a keeper?
Yeah I think this one will stay with me haha.
2 weeks ago, I found out that the babicz bridge does interfere with palm muting. I installed one on my friends guitar for comfort and the strings coming out of lower on the saddle forced him to palm mute higher up the strings "choking out" the PM. If the saddle were adjusted higher the action was affected. The only way to bring the strings to the top of the saddle (like a hannes) was to wither recess the bridge or angle the neck
I just demonstrated that it does not interfere. Tell your friend to palm mute against the edge of the bridge. It works great. That’s the right place to do it anyway as far as I’m concerned. Doesn’t make sense to try to mute right on top of a tunomatic bridge.
It does interfere. Not so much as it prevents palm muting completely but playing up ahead of the bridge like that chokes the notes more and sounds worse than muting above the bridge. If you're playing metal and you're a fast player, it's even more noticable. I've played TOM bridges for like 15 years so i know how to palm mute just fine.
I bought the Babicz as a Hannes alternative. You achieve different sounds in palm mutes depending on how far up you place your palm. The babicz takes away a lot of that "range"
Haha ok. If you’re someone who likes to palm mute right on the bridge for some reason then you should avoid this type of bridge and get a wraparound style.
Lol no comment.
So the one thing I didn't see was the pickup installation - Soldering is neither here nor there, but I am curious as to where you got the pickup rings from? Did they come with the RailHammers? Was there any sanding you had to do to get them to fit properly? I just ordered my kit (same kit, different wood specs, etc) from PGK, and they didn't really have an answer. Thanks in advance!
The rings are just musiclilly. No sanding required; I got the carved top ones and they fit fine.
@@BradAngove Thank you very much!
Brad. Thanks for all the trouble you take to produce these videos.I’ve followed your advice and the build of my first guitar is going very well. I have just finished spraying the colour coat and will spray the clear coat in 7
days. Will the Spraymax 2k bond to the meatalic colour coat or will I have to sand the colour coat first ?
What kind of paint did you use for the metallic?
Acrylic
It should bond. It would be better to sand it, but that might mess up the metallic look.
Thanks Brad I’ll give that a try.
Always leave a few picks in the bottoms of your amps...
Well now I need to find a video on how to adjust my wut in tarnation.
Hahaha
I love the color. I dispise the gold! It would look better with black hardware.
To each their own Gerry.
Yosemite Sam Says "Adjust your what In tarnation intonation!"
Im just realizing the maple top looks very thin...
It isn’t.
@@BradAngove I mean as a top, comparing to prs style (the real copies) or a les paul, it's kinda thin...
@nicopoppe4838 …but it’s not.
Being a parent isn't easy. I see that it's wearing on you. Perhaps take some time for yourself to avoid total spinout, dad. Good work btw. I love hand done guitars.
Thank you. Honestly being a parent has been great. Things have just been crazy busy at my day job, which turns it into also a night job haha.
@@BradAngove cool man, I'm glad you're liking it. 👍 I was a youn% parent at 19 and now I'm 45.
Must be a very soft delicate skin problem in the palm area..😁👍
Hahaha
