PAROL6 is a high-performance 3D-printed desktop robotic arm. The design approach of PAROL6 was similar to industrial robots in terms of mechanical design, control software, and usability. Control software, GUI, and robots STL files are open-source.

So pretty at speed! With payload it looks like you've got less vibration overall. Beautiful work When will I be able to build one myself?

Stl files and building instructions are open. The kits and assembled robots will be available next year.

What was the moment of inertia about J1 for that 0.5 kg load? I'm trying to determine constraints and am using your projects for inspiration.

Honestly I am not sure. We did not do any dynamic calculations for this robot since we are using open loop steppers.

Great work! Metal gears or 3D printed gears?

Metal of course. Plastic does not work if you need serious precious and trajectory following.

Wow nice work! Would it be possible with this robot to make a kind of glove which lets you program the robots movement more intuitively? I think a lot of people would be interested in that and this would make the robot more popular.

Sure it would be possible. There are some plans to use it with VR and hand trackers.
