My dad has the L&K top range all bells and whistles of the superb and it’s a very nice car! It’s lovely inside with mega loads of rooms, the heated and ventilated from and back seats are amazing! I’d definitely pick this over an Audi
Surely the Skoda Superb is in the same class as the BMW 5 series and Audi A6, not the 3 series or A4 series. I used to own a Skoda Octavia 4 x 4 and it was easily the equivalent of the Mondeo and A4 and roomier than a 3 series. If considered to be the equivalent of the 5 series and A6 series, the Skoda proves to be exceptional value for money.
I still don't understand that. I owned a BMW 5 series with all the bells and whistles and have to say that an equivalent Skoda Superb matched if for luxury. In fact, the Superb even had an umbrella in each of the front doors. That was not an option on my BMW.
Much like the Octavia, is officially in the golf/A3 class, but in reality it's closer to 3 series / mondeo etc.. Both the superb and Octavia are great cars. I'm going vrs next (probably). I do like a superb, but i feel im to young for a superb (late 30s). The sport line is cool, but I'd see my superb to be more comfort facing. So maybe by 45 ish ill go superb, and have cheap limo. If could have a choice id want a new Fabia vrs, but im too old and need more space. Im not one for liking a brand, but Skoda is one of my favs. If only i could go and tell my 10-year-old self that skodas would one day be brilliant buys.
I have a 2019 Skoda Superb. It is about 99% perfect. Suffers from bad software bugs and a spare wheel hole that is not big enough for an 18" full-sized wheel. The rest is incredible - it is really comfortable to drive - I agree with the lady on the screen, get the 2.0 L engine, especially if the car is full loaded. Good visuals through the windows and the 7-speed DSG works very well, plus it is very responsive in "sport" mode, but be aware, the gearbox stick ONLY CHANGES THE GEARBOX, not the suspension, steering or anything else.
The Superb competes with the 5 Series Beemer and the E Class Merc. And it is way superior in terms of what it offers at the price! Truly Clever. Truly well priced. Truly great value. Truly Superb!
Dave Baghramian Maybe. But you can buy 2 Superbs for the price of one E-class. Its competitors are the Ford Mondeo, VW Passat, Opel Insignia. And the premium luxury manufacturers shouldn't be even mentioned.
The bmw is a small car I’m 6’8 can’t fit into the bmw or the superb mondeo is the better Car for tall people and I get 72 mpg on a run with the 2 litre diesel don’t like the VW’s overrated
I stopped the video after she said comparable to BMWs tiny, cramped, plasticy 3 series. I have a Rapid Notchback and its bigger inside that a 3 series and not far off a 5 series. I have passed a few Superb Sportlines on the Motorway in Red, Dragon Green and White. I got to say its a damn good looking car! As for the dashboard its clear and simple to use. I f ing hate getting into cars with an over designed dashboard where I have to take my eyes off the road to figure out where a button or control is like Ford Focus, Audi A3/4 or Vauxhall Astra.
Love my superb moved from a e class coupe to a superb estate (due to having dogs) was in split minds between e class estate and the superb. But around where I live mercedes are everywhere. I'm glad I ended up with the superb it certainly is a understated luxury car in my eyes. When picking up friends the first thing they comment on is the rear legroom I'm 6,5 and the seat is as far back as can be and still had more leg room than a c class estate. Btw if anyone is interested in the size of dogs you can easily fit a a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a German shepherd at the same time.
Ever been in the back of an A4 or 3 series ? The superb has more rear seat space and boot space than a Mercedes E-class station wagon. The only part where the superb compares to the A4, C - class and 3 series is the price.
Like the idea with the engines list and available trims at the bottom of the screen. Following Rebecca and Matt since Carbuyer, recon both are best in the business. Great review!

When will car reviews stop giving boot dimensions in litres, its a useless measurement for judging practicality of boot space, what is the maximum length of load? maximum width? and maximum height, it would be far more useful to known that, you might as well be using the international standards such as 1/1000th of a football pitch or 1/50th of a London bus.
Comparing the Superb to a 3-series or MB C-class is very strange - this size segment is where Octavia lives. Logically Superb should be compared to E-class, 5-series, A6 & XF.
Dani Wornath, badge-wise these are premium brands, but compare the cars' dimensions + the bells & whistles and u'll see that the Superb L&K edition is a close contender.

I must differ on the subject of the lady’s speech. While I flinched at her pronunciation of ‘lustre’ and found her single example of tautology and use of the word ‘stuff’ a little tedious, the remainder of her speech was clear and modulated in a manner which held the listener’s attention.

I just wish the Volkswagen diesel it uses had a chain cam. I resent paying big money to replace an item which should last the life of the engine. Petty, perhaps, but annoying.

The problem with the Superb is that the option list is too long.
