TRIP REPORT | Delta Airlines - 757 200 - New York (JFK) to Seattle (SEA) | First Class

- Welcome to another trip report! On May 10, I flew on an Ex-Northwest Airlines 757 from New York to Seattle.
The flight was over an hour delayed, causing me to miss my connecting flight. I was pretty impressed with the seat, as it reclined very far. The meal was very good, and the F/As were very respectful, unlike those people in 5C & 5D.

As another young guy who flies first class, I also get weird looks from people, like they can’t believe someone under 40 can afford first class. I work hard to be able to afford it, I only fly once or twice a year, and I save. It’s a nice luxury that I give myself, and I really wish people would respect that.
This right here. I hate getting looks like I don't belong there when I work damn hard to make the 3 trips I need to make a year as comfortable as possible. Especially NYC -> SEA
I always just tell people “no, sorry”. I choose the seats I want for a reason. Next time those people want to sit together, the should coordinate and make their bookings earlier. I do NOT feel guilty about it one bit.
I do that too. How hard is it being seated far apart from each other for a couple hours anyway, if you wanna sit together, be faster at selecting seats than I am
@Carlos Bautista fuck that dude, idc who fucking died, you literally paid and chose the seat, if they didn't get it together they will not die, it's only a couple of hours, its not being an ass hole if you paid for it and all....
@Carlos Bautista It's easier to feel entitled and not guilty when you lived the life you lived under the economic wing of someone else, you get that empathy once you live in real life, not by flying first class with daddy's money.

I agree with you as another teen who makes trip-reports, I always get looked at like I'm doing something wrong by other passengers, while the crew think it is a great thing, Another great vid none the less
Now I am nervous about doing trip reports. Some of my so called friends at school used to judge me for having plane windows. I would always be looked at like I am doing something wrong.

@@logansadventures7127 thanks mate cos a plane is a public place so people can't expect privacy. Nothing different between a plane and a shopping mall in terms of public places.
Quintin I just got to say thanks for the report and the smooth footage. A lot of people don’t understand how awkward it is to film on an airplane, and even more awkward the better the footage is. Keep it up and the end product is always worth it
Nice report cheers, I also hate when people ask u to move when they want a better seat, or worse still people who are already sitting in your assigned seat and refuse to move.
and you are wrong in both cases. These 2 wanted to sit together and they did not improve their seats at all.
stephen jones erm they were split up, so sitting together IS improving their seat, and the other case where you said I was wrong, how do you know I’ve never boarded a flight and some doughnut who can’t read is int the wrong seat?.

Just flew Delta 757-200 in First Class on May 30. Seat was 3D. Went from West Palm Beach to Atlanta and changed planes in Atlanta go get to LAX. The aircraft from ATL-LAX was a 777-200 with the Delta One configuration in First Class. It was a nice experience.

22:07 Fun fact: All four major sports franchises based in Boston / Massachusetts have aircraft painted in their colors and logos.
The Celics, Red Sox and Bruins all have Jetblue A320's painted in their colors and the Patriots own their own 767-300 that is based at PVD. Amazing livery. Has all six Lombardi Trophies painted on the tail.

I hate when people ask you to change seats, ESP in FC too. And they were legit trying to intimidate you too! Gotta love spoiled, entitled people. They were probably like, "How come he can afford First Class, and we can only get upgraded!?" (whining like the babies they are)

Feel your pain but would much rather have them sitting together instead of talking across the aisle... that really grinds my gears :)
If it were me i would of said no right away if i saw any attempt at intimidation, you want to fly together book together.

Two sides on the seat issue, they should’ve booked C&D together, however everyone got what they wanted regardless. Couldn’t really deny all the fuss/why they sounded a bit rude?
Maybe the windows were already booked, so they couldn't get together? Or they were upgrades, and were the last seats?
I always book one side or the other purposely. The answer is ALWAYS a big fat NO from me when people ask me to switch.
You are lucky as hell...I’ve been trying to get first class on delta but the best I can afford is a 70 minute hop in their MD-90. I’m considering doing it just for the YT channel but I’m not sure. So lucky dude!

Haha 😂😂😂 This toilet feature is strange but cool lol. I dunno if it's on all 757s on all lavatories or if it's just for First class. I flew a Delta 757 in February but since it was a short 1h30 hop I didnt go to the restroom. I will fly another 757 for the same flight time at the end of August so I will see.

Nice to see you got to fly on a 75. I’m almost surprised DL gave you an old NWA unit on a transcon from JFK since it’s usually an old TWA unit with the lie flat Delta One business.
Old and new IFEs on the same plane, haven’t seen that before
I was flying SBA - SFO - SEA on UAL in First Class, December 2001. The inbound SBA - SFO plane went tech. I got in line to reschedule. The friendly gate agent handed me my ticket. He'd downgraded me to Economy without my knowledge. I handed the ticket back to him and told him to try again. This is just a word to the wise: ALWAYS ALWAYS look at ANYTHING a gate agent reschedules for you.
I've driven that way on the Belt Parkway from Long Island too, but I went to the Brooklyn Animal Care and Control animal shelter to rescue dogs. I flew Delta from LaGuardia airport to Spokane, WA. to pick up my Rottie puppy and they were great to us.

Nice plane especially for its age. Love new cabin and sky interior. Love the 757! You booked seat 5A? They were sitting 5B and 5C but wanted 5A and 5B but ended up changed to 5C and 5D? Lol 16:48. Love seeing planes lining up. Nice flight and trip report. Think you already did a Trip Report to Montego Bay, Jamaica once but would be really nice to see you try a main airline here from the US or possibly even Air Canada Dreamliner during the Winter Tourist Season.

Omg no joke these people running late on SWA made me go to a middle seat so their family could sit together, all I wanted was my aisle seat on that flight but I got moved around, those people trying to sit together piss me off! Great report btw.

I hate it when people ask me to give up a seat. I had to give up an window seat so that a family could sit to together. I had to sit in an aisle seat which I was angry about. If someone asks to give up my seat I’m gonna say no.

If you were able to stay generally where you are and keep the window no harm. But I've had front of the plane aisle and people ask to swap back of the plane middle seat. Uhhhh no.

Quintin. Next time just say NO. You are under NO OBLIGATION to switch and it’s not your problem. It’s their problem. I don’t know about you, but I will book right or left side purposely. It’s not random. When people ask me to move, I just tell them “No, sorry”.

That’s what most people do. They go to the delta app or website, book their flights and choose a seat while looking at the seating chart.
Plus the fact these airlines are taking that opportunity away these days

The 757 is my favorite Boeing aircraft! I love the long slender design of the fuselage and the front windshield looks cool too, very distinctive from any other Boeing model. It’s no wonder why president trump choose it as his private jet, they are great and reliable planes and have the best record of any Boeing aircraft.
I hate when people ask you for your seat. The last time a man was in my seat and i told him that he was in my seat. Once i get a window seat i am fine.
