I'm a Dortmund fan, and I'll definitely go to a game in Dortmund one day. I've seen them away to Rangers back in 2022, and their youth team play Hibernian in Edinburgh. I've been on a stadium tour of the Westfahlenstadion.
Been there for my first time at Dortmund. I was really disappointed at the support of the home crowd. They are probably 20k people there with only about 20% of them supporting. Obviously still loud, but FAR AWAY from a “yellow wall”
Dortmund fans are the best in the world. Favourite match I've been to in the Westfalen was 4-2 win against Atletico Madrid in the quarters of the CL last season. Unreal. I travel over 5-6 times a year at least to see a match
They’re simply incredible, definitely worth travelling to for a game. Glad you enjoyed it last season. Let’s hope they’re just as successful this time!
Highly overrated yellow wall. Don't get me wrong, it sure is an impressive and nice view, but i could hear the away fans very clearly and frequently throughout the game on tv. Also, the participation rate within the stand is quite low. Idk, yes, they are many, but u can see that sturm has them on quality (which is always easier as away fans to be fair). You mic cuts the atmosphere quite heavily, i'd have love a few shot where you try to capture the atmosphere without talking, or maybe have 1 mic for talking with heavy noise supression (that one u had was great for that), and one where you pick up everything else?
Fair enough, sounds like a good idea. Perhaps the yellow wall isn’t quite what it used to be, but it’s still very impressive. The away fans surprised me, I didn’t realise how good they were. Next time I’ll try to capture even more of the atmosphere.

Who do cheapest ticket in world football because they do pay what you want entry in home games in English Lower League.😮 HALLAM fc play in world’s oldest stadium and Sheffield fc are world’s first football team. AFC Wimbledon have a fairly new stadium in Football League. :)

@TheMatchdayExperience NUFC fans were allowed to hop over the gate and overcrowded the section I was in also they stood down the walkway so basically if we scored the only place we would end up is being crushed against the fence, we made our concerns to the home stewards their response I don't understand English. It would have caused another Hillsborough. In the concourse it was approximately 2 inches deep of water / beer so you had to be careful on our feet. But match experience was great the experience of watching the homie fans directly across the pitch was something different
@TheMatchdayExperience I was advised to watch the game from the concourse. The crowd was that crowded some fan urinated over other fans cause he wouldn't get to the toilet in time

I'm a BVB fan from England, how on earth did you get tickets there so hard to come across unless you have season ticket or work for a company. My dream is to watch a match in this beautiful stadium

I got them from a friend who’s a BVB fan. They went on general sale a few days before kickoff though as it wasn’t sold out.
