@@trislwisl because of possible mismanagement but also for having a much smaller budget than Red Bull Salzburg who are not only rich but very well run as well with a great international scouting network.
they are just bad, especially rapid. sturm is performing, while they have even less money than rapid or austria...

It's always nice to see some recognition from outside of Austria, even tough we aren't the best league in europe, our Fans are really one of the best, hope you'll come more often to Austria to see some other of our derbys

Glad you liked it with us. Yes, compared to other countries, we have small stadiums and few fans. But sometimes the loudest. And yes, I know it is even louder in Istanbul or Belgrade... but overall there is hardly anything comparable in Europe.
the Vienna derby between SK Rapid and FK Austria Wien is in fact THE oldest football derby in the world, played in the same top level league without interruption.
Definetly an underrated derby. Looks insane! But one worth mentioning, is Brøndby- FC Copenhagen in Denmark🇩🇰. A really underrated one aswell.

The last pyro show of Rapid is called „Rapid Viertelstunde“ so every match at the 75 minute there is this pyroshow, maybe not that crazy like at a derby but near that!

The last pyro show from Rapid was the „Rapid Viertelstunde“ every match 15 mins before fulltime we clap our hands and light pyros. And we do this for years 😍

@@chrisjoechrisjoe Nach 10 Jahren ein Derby in Hütteldorf gewinnen und euch trotzdem zu blamieren vor nationalem und internationalem Publikum schaffts auch nur ihr. Rapidesker geht’s gar nicht. Wappler vom Vorstand bis zur Kurve. Ich glaub es ist recht klar wer die Heisln sind.

You need to come to Portugal to see SC Braga vs Vitoria SC. It´s a derby between two clubs from nearlys citys, but it´s not just a game, it´s the rivarly between the citys, this rivalry lasts more than hundreds of years. I think that you would like the atmosphere in both of the stadiums, but in my opinion I prefer the "Estadio Municipal de Braga" a.k.a "Pedreira" .
As a Sk Sturm Graz Fan I still have to say that Rapid Wien Fans are wild and crazy and I hope that they will become much better again. Nobody wants to see Red Bull Salzburg at the top anymore. If Rapid Wien would have the chance to win the league instead of RBS, I would cheer for them.
You should also check out the "Grazer Derby", Its between Sk Sturm Graz and GAK.
GAK will most likely win the second division and become a part of the first division in austria again. The austrian city "Graz" is also divided in the colors of Black and Red. Same story as in vienna. Sk Sturm Graz is a club for everyone while historically GAK was a club for the upper class.
Our derby in Graz is also wild. I would say right now its even a bit more special because in the last 20 years we only saw it 2 times because didnt play in the first division for a very long time so we only had the chance to play against them in the austrian cup.

Love the video but both teams were for the working class. The first Vienna was for the upper classes. The middle classes and working classes were either Austria or rapid.
The stronghold of Austria is Favoriten which is a working class district.

I was there in ÖFB semifinal match Rapid-Ried in 2023. Atmosphere was amazing, loud noise and pyros🧨 from Rapid Ultras and of course from Ried too. Have to visit someday again✔

What a derby. UNDERRATED
I was once with my Austrian friend on cup match between GAK Graz and Austria Wien. GAK is small club from Graz, but that year they managed to get really far into cup, and they attract Sturm Graz stadium to be full. It was amazing experience, Austria Wien take a lead, but GAK Graz managed to score two goals and win 2-1. It was crazy there, they are all like one on stadium especially when chant "Wiener schweine" starts hahahah

Bin zwar sturm graz Fan, aber dass ist Unterstützung für den Verein... Wir sind zwar in Österreich, aber wir haben sich sicher eine der geilsten Fanszenen (sturm, austria, rapid) in Europa. Auch wenn unsere stadien "klein", aber so kommt die atmosphäre noch geiler zur Geltung.

I wish Australia had this type of fans. Whole stand doing chants, lots and lots of flags and banners, pyro and the more passion. Down under you still see some pyro and only around 5 flags in an active area. Only when there is a derby the ultras might take three bays but not very often. Keep up the videos though.
