The WRC is the FIA World Rally Championship, a tough motorsport using rally cars on real roads around the world. Watch the best rally drivers battle on gravel and asphalt roads with mud, rain, dust, ice and heat! Watch high speed action as the rally drivers power slide and drift round narrow corners, go flat out over a big jump or through a watersplash, handbrake turn round a hairpin, survive a big moment, or have a massive crash! Rally requires maximum attack and careful tactics to become world rally champion.
Each rally has timed sections called special stages, on closed roads. Drivers complete these stages as quickly as possible. A co-driver reads pace notes that explain the hazards ahead. Rally drivers use the same rally car to travel to each stage on public roads, following normal traffic regulations. The crew which completes all the stages in the shortest time is the rally winner. Championship points are won using the same scoring system as Formula 1. The championship is administered by Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport's world governing body.
Over 30 countries have hosted WRC rallies. Rally Monte Carlo, Rally Argentina, Rally Finland, Rally Portugal, Tour de Corse on Corsica, France, Rally Sardegna on Sardinia, Italy, Safari Rally in Kenya, Acropolis Rally in Greece, Rally New Zealand, Rally Australia, Rally Japan, Rally GB, Rally Catalunya, Rallye Deutschland, Rally Mexico and many more.
Some of the world's greatest drivers have won the FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers, like Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Walter Röhrl, Stig Blomqvist, Petter Solberg, Ott Tänak. The list of world rally champions includes many Finnish rally drivers like Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm, Hannu Mikkola. French drivers have had success with Sébastien Ogier, and 9 times world champion Sébastien Loeb. Famous drivers from other motorsports have come to try rally driving like Ken Block from Rallycross, and Robert Kubica and Kimi Räikkönen from F1.
Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers awarded to the most successful WRC constructor. Winners include Citroen, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Peugeot. Ford have had success with the Ford Escort, Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta when the M-Sport team won in 2017.
The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro.
Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Toyota returned to the WRC in 2017 with the Toyota Yaris WRC, winning in 2018. @@DiegoRuiz1991 I agree with you, but I find it strange that for years they had the animation very well cast, in fact it was excellent in the WRC7 and then this :/ you lose the dive from the chamber of the room
Maybe the cam and game camera aren't perfectly synced up. Seriously doubt there is any issue with this. The real issue is EGS.

When i first played it i had to double check that the traction control wasn't still switched on. You can barely spin the wheels up once you brake into a bend. Youre only given enough power output to only just slide the cars around the bends. This is the problem with these rally games. You don't get full control through the throttle to actually be able to modulate the power. In Richard Burns Rally it was actually possible to apply too much power. You had to be careful not to over do it on the power on bends.
i spin a lot in wrc 9 lol even with tc...still prefer wrc 7 driving control

Im not of the same opinion i was when i made that comment. It is very possible to spin the car by applying too much throttle. You have to be really careful how much you open the throttle on hairpins, which is realistic. I still think you should have even more power at your disposal though.
I liked WRC 7 too. But in my opinion WRC 9 is the best of the series so far.
You just have to be gentle on the throttle when you slide the car around a hairpin on gravel. Are you using a wheel or game pad? If youre using a wheel, good force feedback settings really help tell you what the car is doing/going to do.

I loved the original Mcrae games. Spent a lot of hours on those old games.
This game will be great on ps5.
Its a really good rally game. I like it almost as much as dirt rally 2. Some aspects of the car handling are actually better than dirt rally 2. I just prefer how the cars handle on fast bendy sections in dirt rally 2. I like how the 4WD cars oversteer on the throttle more in WRC9 than the cars do in dirt rally 2. Both great games. No rally game is perfects but with a steering wheel both games feel pretty convincing and are a lot of fun.

That's the only non-VR tittle that I will surely buy, even though I race in VR exclusively. WRC 8 was the only game that was good enough to persuade me to play it despite of lack of VR compatibility.

@@henriquegalvao6945 @RallySac It's pretty obvious that it's not reallistic; there's no need for confirmation from a WRC driver. Such a thing is nice to confirm the realism of simulators like RBR NGP6, but not for this.
@@zwjna actually comparing wrc9 with onboards shows that it's quite close, contrary to RBR. People need to stop masturbating to it, it's not that good. I played RBR Pro for a year - it's better than DR 2.0 but it literally feels like arcade machine racing games. And don't even start talking about handbrake physics in RBR.

On the other hand, I don't know about which physics Pro was using during the time you used it, but maybe they weren't NGP6. This game has history of instability. The company (bigben interactive/kylotonn) is extremely consumer unfriendly. The question is, do you want to pay you money for a game which (and for racing is extremely bad) crashes? More importantly, you will not be happily recepted for any complaints. (IMO) this is a consumer theiving company and save your money for yourselves.
Maybe want you're saying is true but:
1) WRC 8 was awesome to drive and I haven't noticed any bugs in it
2) the only competitor on rally sim market is Codemaster's DR2.0 and it's IMO worse in terms of physics and Codemasters themselves are pretty much the most anti-consumer developer on the racing games market.
@@ErwinLiszkowicz I have noticed 20FPS in menus and dumb keyboard/mouse behaviors in those... Menus should be extremely light resource-wise and feel smooth on anything, not be a clunky mess.
