    me and my brother were truck drivers for a big corp. the corp started treating us like slaves so we saved up and decided to start our own independent transport company and now we have 3 trucks paid off and we are making around 350k in profit last year. covid started earlier this year and our sales actually increased. we are on line to make 500k profit this year. i love stories like this because it goes to show that hard work pays off.

      ok yeah, my first biz mgt college class ( about my only A ) they began with the history of management: back in the day an exective in a coal company who had an office overlooking the loading yard. He noted that the man with the smallest shovel moved the most coal.
      The cause and effect was that : the heavier the material, the smaller the shovel (conversely the lighter for snow or bark ought to be largest.)
      The efficiency aspects of production is key:
      " Micro Motion " would be the term for his assemblers shaving seconds off assembly time. His standardization of tools and formation vital.
      Companies that change out car windshields do this too, to the degree of setting up their bench.
      The auto assembly used the fast man theory to sequence tasks. My college QB who went PRO NFL was back up to HOF QB Joe Montana,
      I asked him if after 7 years he was still being coached " just do it like Joe "

Only a real tow driver could understand what we need in real life in the field in the conditions we work in. Plus on the Rare occasion needing customer service/ warranty.. they stand behind their products. He deserves his success & I plan to continue to buy/recommend his In The Ditch products.

      How come tow drivers get to keep what is in the cars they tow? That's theft and extortion.

    • @woody4u247
      @woody4u247 3 года назад +6

      @@willissudweeks1050 The simple answer is they don't. Obviously there are unique situations that vary... but the only time a tow company would.. as you say ", get to keep what's in the car's they tow" is in the event the vehicle was impounded & the registered owner didn't come to get the vehicle or refused to pay the bill. When a tow company provides a service, they have a financial interest in that vehicle until payment in full has been made. Don't pay your bill.. you don't get your vehicle until we're paid for the services we provided. Depending on the situation ( police impound vs private property impound e.t.c ) the amount of time varies city to city/ county/ states.. after a certain amount of time, they'll send a letter to the registered owner according to the state & if no response, they can get legal ownership of the vehicle.

    He nails it with his philosophy of: " The real money lies in efficiency". His company is able to increase profit by reducing costs and time without the need to increase sales. This is the key difference between private enterprise and government. The government never decreases costs, or seeks efficiency. They simply look to increase taxes at every turn, or borrow more in order to maintain or increase their insane level of inefficient spending. Can't buy votes by cutting spending. Yet another example of capitalism and entrepreneurship being superior to government in every way.

    Take a look at William Deming. He proposed to US manufacturers after WW2 a system of manufacturing based on quality. The arrogant Americans basically told him to go pound sand. The Japanese welcomed him and listened. GM was the biggest corporation in the world. Look at GM and look at Toyota. I've been driving American cars for 45 years and when I started I said I would never drive a foreign car. A few days ago I test drove my first foreign car and there's a pretty good chance my next car will be a Toyota.
    This man in the video has the right idea obviously because he's making millions at it. He strives for quality and cost efficiencies. It's the Toyota Way in the Deming Way. He deserves every cent he earns as long as it's honest work and if he treats his employees fairly.

      That's how a socialist would see it. They are already compensated for work at a price they agreed to.
      They take no risk of loss during a day of work, only a guaranteed reward for hours worked.
      The one taking the risk DESERVES a greater reward !!
