The only tenor I've rung was at my hometown Great Amwell. Nice ring of 6. The hardest bell I rung was the 4th at All Saints Hertford.

I have ;) I rang the tenor there a couple of years ago when I was 14, I thought they were not too bad!

When I'm ringing a heavy-ish bell [my hometower's tenor is 1.5 tonnes] , I tend to bend my knees for the backstroke, but I notice you were putting most of your effort in at the handstroke. Is that what is needed at Exeter?

Michael McBain well Exeter is quite a lot bigger, this is 3.5 tonnes

@Michael McBain - It's because it drops at backstroke. Normally that is the case with bells this weight hence why you have to pull harder at handstroke.
