Pretty sweet! I need to wrap my downpipe, will more than likely order from the link you put. I actually ordered a jackspania turbo blanket bc of the k swapped mazda truck vid you did on it
I am going to get a turbo blanket before it goes in hopefully. I really like how they help. Thanks for supporting the channel and buying from the links. It really does help me more than you know. So thank you 🙏🏻
Mentioned that you could soak it but it works fine without. I assume you started yours up right after to let it evaporate? I can’t exactly do that yet so that’s another reason I didn’t wrap it with wet fiberglass.
I soak exhaust wrap in water before applying it to the exhaust because the wrap will soak up the water and expand. After you apply the wrap and it dries out, it will contract and hug the manifold a bit better. Just my experience though, looks really good
Soaking it also helps it stretch some and once it dries it shrinks up. Making it tighter on the exhaust. Also iv seen alot of turbo rsx on RUclips lately and iv seen a few using the gold heat wrap that u used before in their firewall seems to help with heat some as well.i need to turbo my auto lol
Yes the gold tape but never on the turbo manifold itself. It does help it soaking for a few reasons but I’m not starting the car right away and I would want to start it up after the wet fiberglass so it would evaporate quickly
@@mal5728 yes same here. I’m working on the funds for the next parts. Not everything is free from sponsors but any help from them i get is appreciated 100% 😁 idk what I would do without them. Probably would take me forever to get builds done like it did back before sponsors haha.
That’s not true i have done it many times with no manifolds destroyed. The stainless pipe manifolds don’t rust. That’s one of the awesome properties of stainless. If any rust does appear it’s surface. You can even make this one step better by adding a protecting spray over it after it’s wrapped.
Don’t forget to turn the settings to 4K for best quality video experience 😁

Just did mine and the downpipe. Soak it in water first. Wraps a lot easier and less fiberglass getting you.

@1:45 I mentioned this
same with a fire arm, love it

Yet another great video as usual! Keep up the great content bro. Appreciate all your hard work. God bless.
Thank you man I appreciate your consistency on watching my videos. It don’t go unnoticed
I heard another reason to soak it in water is so you can stretch it more around what you are wrapping.
Yea tighter but it also reduces the fiberglass floating in the air.

@@TexasHondaChannel yeah definitely not on the manifold or turbo itself just the firewall and lines behind the manifold.
@@GlassWerx yea!
After a year, what are the conditions of the bandage?
Great keep them coming 👍 👏 👌 🙌
Will do!!
Good work man
Thank you 🙏🏻
Awesome job. Looks good 👍
Thank you!
Thanks for the video man! Do you experience boost creep with this exhaust manifold? Cheers
This looks like it's a pain to do, but the result is worth it.
Yea it takes about a hour or 2 and a lot of fiberglass all over but definitely worth it.
Does the downpipe work on rsx? It says for k swap ek/eg only on their website.
I will find out for sure when i get it installed on my car. I’m hoping it works. I’m sure if it don’t fit very well I can get it modified to fit
Keep up the good work
Thank you and you too brother God bless!
How much was the manifold and any problems ??
How many hp is that side winder manifold rated 4?
When are you putting the turbo on?
After I get the rest of the stuff. I’m still missing intercooler, oil return parts and intercooler piping. Slowly but surely getting there.
@@TexasHondaChannel makes sense. Cant wait to see the finished build

Would this turbo kit for a on k20z3 ?
Manifold will bolt up, I know for a fact bc I have compared k20z3 gasket with a k20a3 gasket
Covering up that beautiful manifold 😭, but it must be done
I know 😩 it looked amazing as it was but let heat soak. Well worth it
Here
Woah that was fast! Awesome 😎

Made ya itchy didn’t it 😅
that wrap will destroy your manifold.... I guess if you don't care about your manifold.
