      I buy projects from time to time and consistently meet nice people. I think part of it is screening them on the phone to see if they sound believable and not murdery. Now with Marketplace its a little sketchier, with some people communicating only through the app. I usually message them and ask them to call me. The one's who won't call have no-showed a few times, even at their own houses...lol. When I have time to, I cross check property ownership with addresses of meetup spots.

    I have a 8x8 Argo, this is a Canadian Manufactured Product and what you have is a Max, I believe they are called, a different manufacturer from the USA. Just in case you are looking for parts on line. But still a nice unit, as with most ATV's you have to be a tinkerer with these units. Just a suggestion keep the exhaust high fab up some piping, for water not to access as easily into the tub. They sit low in the water. I am surprised they do not have seals on the wheel shafts. Something to check out on your own. Mine has seals to avoid external water access. All the best.

  • @StefanMailey
    @StefanMailey Год назад +22

    I like this seller. Seems pretty open and honest. Sweet score! The exhaust usually runs high so you don't back feed water into the motor if it stalls.

    I can see where this craft would would be handy - riding on the ice where there is the option to break through the ice would be dangerous with a snowmobile or quad. The Argo floats and will cross streams and small ponds. I have a swampy area behind my house that I thought the Argo would be an ideal solution for traversing through ---- Boy was I wrong! I had the seller demo the unit for me and he didn't go 20 feet before he became stuck in the weeds and grass. The water was 16" deep but was thick with growth. The Argo just wrapped all the weeds around the wheels and wouldn't move at all. I had to wade into the water and push the machine - it would not move at all on its own. I'm just saying, this machine has its use, but check it out before you buy.

    • @GratefulSledHead
      @GratefulSledHead Год назад

      Swampy areas are tough. Even a tracked ARGO can get high-centered. The only manufactured vehicle that I know of that can chew up swamps with ease is the SHERP. However, who has $150k+ to spend on one?

    You can check to see if the battery is charging with the volt meter. Connect meter to battery. Take reading. Then start engine. If charging voltage will go up. Not sure what kind of lights you have but if they are filament type bulbs switch to led. They will take less power so reduce battery drain if you don't go to a higher wattage light.

    You'll never be stranded with that engine joe, it has a back up pull start 🤣 more fishing content would be good though buddy, that last catch was a decent size too
