If you get that to free up it will have tons more low end and the bog on take off will more than likely go away. Good content man I look forward to seeing your projects as you post them as I do similar things, keep up the good work. #crivitzwisconsin

Nice job getting her going, I remember my 340 powered tri sport would pass cars on the highway, so it was at least worth 60 mph. Maybe 70 or 80 who knows lol. SCARY FAST is exactly what it was coming from a 90cc Honda floatation tire rig back in my day LOL

I should add I live in Northern Illinois where the whole area 10 counties wide is flatter than a pancake. Not too far from where I live was an old flat track race track called Sycamore speedway and I heard rumor they used to have classes for these racing there alongside motorcycles back in the day. I was told the original intent for these machines was flat dirt track oval racing, and they do it so well fishtails for days on gravel or dry dirt.. you will see. This is making me want another one at 49 years old LOL! Keep up the good videos you are inspiring!

Thoes clutches need some adjustment for sure, the second you hit the gas it should grab and SPIN thoes bald tiers, it seems you dont have the low end torque like it should, I have 2 of these, it should top out around 80mph if adjusted right, just play with the weights in the main clutch till you get it right where u like so you have low end and top end. Great job buddy. I also noticed ur secondary clutch is stuck open, def get that freed up and ull have the low end and get rid of the bog it has..

Looking back on the older 3-wheel ATVs and Trikes you repair it's easy to see how they were deemed death traps and discontinued. Imagine flying down the road at 60 MPH on that trike and your foot slips of the peg... not good.

I had one of these from about 1988 to about 2005. I traded a 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 for it. Mine was also the street version but had been stripped down. It had riding lawnmower style treaded tires for better traction and they worked like a champ. Went in sand, snow and everything. I also upgraded the motor to a 440 from the 340 CCW. My friend paced me on the highway one day in his Bronco at 93mph. It seemed maxed out. Wish I still had it.

I used to have one of those when I was 12 years old. I bought it without a motor and we ended up putting a 3.5hp Briggs on it and it would go about 35 mph. Yours has a little more accessories on it than mine did. Mine just had the fiberglass part where ya sit but not over the motor. Anyway, I had a blast and wish I would've never sold it. Have fun 👍

that thing is so much fun
super stable on a flat road but if you hit a good bump with just 1 rear wheel at speed
you will instantly know what true fear feels like and why they stopped making them
you even have spare wheels on the (6x6) for much better traction on snow
    thanks for the memories dude

One thing to note is the rear tires are usually tubeless trailer tires and if you try to slide the back end around and the tires catch they have a habit of popping the seal against the rim.

Hey buddy now you need to see if you can find some new seat cover fabric the same color as what the back part of the seat is and make a seat cushion to sit on and then it would be finished!! If you can’t find the same color design and enough to redo all of it well then I definitely no that they make some black colored stuff and I would only make a bottom seat cushion one and just do it black in color!! That would definitely look good and also original also!!!?! And I also had the same issue with a snowmobile engine that I had on the 6x6 Argo that we used to have!!! The teeth for the pull start was all worn out!! I can’t remember what I ended up doing to fix it but what ever I did work!!! It’s been 25 years or longer since we had the 6x6!!! I definitely wish I had another one though for sure!!! Awesome video buddy!! And remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!! Oh thanks for cleaning the camera lens off so that we could actually see when you was going down the road with the trick!!! Let us now if you are able to get a license to drive it on the road again!!??? I’d definitely love to see you driving it down the road in town also!!! DIY made for being tucked up close to the frame as much as possible. That are weld onto like bicycle seat types bolt clamps with through bolts.& Split washer's & locking nuts on the top& bottom of the shocks.,or the front forks shortened up to fit on both sides of it squared up to.

Need to change the weights in the pulley system and get it to lock up a bit quicker. That's a BEAST!

Dual carb's off a 340 sled with a pair of Mikuni Carb's would give you more top end and snap! Jetting would help also and the mix if it is 30 or 40 to 1 I would lighten it up to 40 or 50 to 1. Twin pipes adapted from a twin sled would help. "The Crank Shop" in VT is a good place to talk to about pipes and Al's Snowmobile in VT is a good place to get part's from for older sled's and older 2-stroke parts! Set of Wisco high compression Piston's would be a big help for power!

Nice trailer! We think alike ... I'm thinking weld some beads into the pull-starter and you say "I welded some beads into the pull starter". The whole time I was thinking "you will barely make it to the mailbox with that pocket bike tank", I guess I was wrong there. Also, I'm thinking "since we all know it needs tires before any real street riding can occur, you should throw some slime and a thousand self-tappers in those tires and play in the snow".
That being said, I hope you do find an electric starter, fix the brakes and put a nice set of DOT tires on it. It seems like the CVT has quite the performance tune on it.

@@billbkr32ify Had a 5hp B&S Tri-sport that would do 38mph. In theory this 340 should easily double this because it has FOUR times the power ; with the right gearing.

It was a hoot watching you ride that thing! My buddy's dad had a 3 wheeler thing like that but it was smaller and had more of a go kart drivetrain. It was a sketchy ride!

Since it don't have a bottom seat pad. It's the perfect opportunity to build a heated pad for it. That would make cold weather rides a bit more comfortable

It turns a lot better than I expected on snow, considering it's a posi rear.
Might stop OK on dry roads with only front brake (if the pads are still pretty good) until you find a rear brake

Definitely new tires ... before you speed wobble yourself in to trouble...
The frame looks to be flexing/twisting when you accelerate.
Anyways that looks like a lot of fun zipping around ...
