HAHA i was the other way around, i always quick casted with indicator, BUT THEN DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THE OTHER INDICATOR THAT SHOWS HOW FAR THE WARD CAN SEE@@Kyle-nm1kh
This is literally such a good guide, especially new players. You explain everything so throughly and with a lot of details, that even someone who just started 2 days ago understands how warding works. Thank you so much!
thank you! another veteran player like me haha i've been playing since the start of season 1, so i feel ya. DID YOU KNOW YOU COULD POP-OUT THE CHAT WINDOW FROM THE CLIENT?! this apparently was possible since the client changed many years ago
@Navcans Maybe I'm not picking the right spots, but my control wards keep getting taken. Maybe I should pay more attention, and buy it in a game where my regular wards never get taken.
good video! commenting for the algorithm. Question: I usually play a control mage mid lane like Malzahar, around 3min I ward for my topside or botside between the river and the enemy jungle is there a best spot for mid to ward?
2:24 / 2:36 ooof these wards feel really hard to hit, it's actually tilting, lol. Does anyone have a tip on "how" to hug the wall? I hit it one time when it actually _was_ green in drake pit, but can't replicate it. When I try to hit it without color in practice tool, it's always been outside the bush, or the champ still tries to walk to the other side...
to practice getting into position to "hug the wall", pick talon, then level up E (the wall jump skill), and just hop the wall, then you can actually see an outline of the wall. but the real trick, is being able to do it quickly, and consistently!
I must admit I don't normally use trinket with indicator as I normally just quickcast but putting it on the T key is super helpful. Makes it better in top lane to ward the bottom most part of pixel brush
Hey I saw ur guide for milio and I wanted to ask u what do u think about echo of helia on him? now it heals 40 instead of 20 and with milio passive ur team can stack this iteam even U as support without hitting enemies and dealing damage directly, cauze u can stack (again) with ur passive
haven't really been able to give it a shot because i found helia was just a terrible item in general, and even on the best user (sona), it was still performing modestly. although with the buff and bug fix, it may some more action, but im reluctant to think it will be good. i am definitely willing to try it today on stream
what happens when you try to place a ward outside of maximum range? Your champ takes the closest path to be in a position that you can place the ward, right?
thank you! and that's actually so funny, cause another comment said the music was too loud HAHAHA so now i don't know what i should do! appreciate the feedback
man these tricky wards from dragon/baron pits are hard, I feel like i succeed 1/10 times in practice tool, i search for videos about it but on videos it looks like is easy, in my case its very hard to setup correctly
I tried some of the placements in pracitce tool, could it be that they did changes on bushes and warding? cus I cant manage to drop all the wards the way you did 🤔
It seems the warding trick for baron pit 2:36 is no longer working anymore? There are very few instances where it can be done but its just not consistent at all.. Also camera angle seems to matter a lot. Maybe you can show us on livestream or something?
part one is definitely tailored to get the first few concepts down, part two has way more information. what parts did you feel was underwhelming? thank you for the feedback!
really enjoyed this~ I have a few suggestions that I think would make this video even better. 1. Music is very loud and distracting, It took myself away from what you were saying. 2. maybe an end card with review points, or stills as a review? I like the idea of stills so I can print them and keep them handy for memorizing. 3. If this is a series, maybe a small watermark on the top or bottom corner to indicate what the particular ward is good for- and each side. (ex: Early Game Botside- Blue. Misc ward - any) Thanks so much. been looking for a season 14 warding video so I look forward to the next ones
i actually kept this comment in mind the whole time! i'm releasing part 2 today and i'm hoping that there have been improvements since part 1. let me know! thank you so much for the feedback!
My favorite part is at 1:08 where the music gets REAL intense as we learn how to enable range indicators
honestly, probably the biggest tip anyone could learn, knowing what it enables
Lmao
wow. the key setting that none of the big channels talk about - especially if where the ward will end up if placed in terrain. Game changer!
did you know that terrain indicator was implemented in the last year? used to not be there for so long
@@Navcansi didnt even know it existed. Ive been smart casting my trinkets and wards

i tried to cover as much ground as i can without making things too complicated! glad you enjoyed it
Been playing for more than 10 years, it's refreshing to see a good video like this that teaches players hidden mechanics, keep them up mate :D

@@Navcans Wow Season 1?
Good shit, I don't ward because I'm afraid of winning, but I'm sure this will be useful for somebody
yeah wards don't do damage! (funny story, i tend not to buy control wards in solo q cause i'd rather buy damage and play around the enemy's vision)

thank you for the comment! and there are some spots for sure! its actually covered in my video that i'll be posting today!
crazy that some placements aren't possible on the red side, gives blue an edge from red side.
yeah it be like that sometimes. before the map change, there was a river to tri ward that was pretty hard, and actually kinda necessary to learn
Please do more of these! for example all the stuff you said at the end like control ward, plants and the like.
will do! there's two more parts, laning phase and mid/late game!

Putting this down as commitment I’ll be back in 3 months to confirm if I done it. If anyone sees this after 3 months leave a reply 😅tnx
One week, tuning in

It is not directly warding itself but can you include 5 point covers etc. lvl 1 to cover invades and such...
i didn't quite include it in the video, but the concepts in my part 2 video today will give a lot of insight on a similar topic!
I wish they would apply the cursor color change on the traps like shaco box and nidalee
they don't have it?! i figure that's pretty important
i somehow got the blue side blue buff gromp ward to see both camps but its really hard to replicate
omg really? i spent a solid 30 minutes just dropping a ward in that area and it just wouldn't happen, so i gave up. i'll have to try again!
what happens when you try to place a ward outside of maximum range? Your champ takes the closest path to be in a position that you can place the ward, right?
correct!
great video! for the next one maybe u can turn up the music a little bit

Great video did not even know about the long midlane bush vision limit
it was introduced this season, and there's even a sneaky way to take advantage of it!

This should have more views. That setting change is huge.

Hey man, nice video!
thank you! appreciate the kind words
ahaha that rengar ward bait, really good
haha yeah, i've legit never seen someone bait a rengar like that before, so i thought it was extremely unique the way it played out
Great video!
thank you!
Very nice warding positions on botside :) I knew most of the stuff but for people getting started with warding this video is awesome! Keep it up
thank you so kindly, appreciate it! i try to make the information compact and easy to absorb
